I've been looking at a new PC, which will need to meet or exceed the recommended (rather than the minimum) specs for Premiere Pro CC and it's been mentioned to me that the published specs on the website are probably a bit dated. Can anyone advise what the more current recommended specs might be, and what I should be looking for above and beyond those specs to perhaps future proof any system I might consider buying? Thanks

A person can ask questions like what trype of hard drive are you using or how much RAM do you have but those questions can all be answered if they show us their computer stats. The vdieo below will allow new members to do some of the troubleshooting on thier own. One can ponder if it is the RAM, CPU or hard drive but checking the systems stats will answer the question and identify the weakest link. That being said we still may not be able to resolve the issues but we will have much more information about the person's computer system eliminating a lot of guess work.
Can anyone bring assurances that my PC can handle a subscription to the Creative Cloud? I want to use Premier, AfterEffects, DreamWeaver, PhotoShop, and whatever the audio recording and editing software is called, and many more. Is space or speed an issue? Does one store all on the cloud or can one also keep work on external drives? Can anyone put me at ease about hang-up-free functionality? I don't want to obligate myself to a sizable subscription cost and face user logistics problems. Who can help?.
Hello, would appreciate some opinions on the below spec. I mostly edit 4K video in Premiere as well as a lot of work in Photoshop & After Effects. I also use ffmpeg and imagemagick a fair bit. Dell Precision 3640 TowerMT - Core I9 10900K 3.7 GHz - VPro - 32 GB - SSD 512 GB Any thoughts or concerns? The processor seems fairly good looking at benchmarks - https://www.pugetsystems.com/pic_disp.php?id=61386 Would really appreciate knowing if anyone has good / bad experience with this.

I would like to by a new Mac for Videodesign with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Audition. Does anyone know, if this software runs perfect together with the new M1-Chip of Apple now?Is Macbook Air, 8GB, 256 RAM, 7 or 8 GPU enough? It's for a course. It's urgent!!Many thanks!!
Would love to hear what everyone uses for graphic design with print/publishing in mind. I am new to researching monitors.
Hello guys, I am experiencing some lag and crashing (black playback screen) while using Premiere Pro. I can, with much hassle, complete a 4k UHD Edit and Export; but I'm wondering if my build is really cutting it hardware-wise. I'm not doing any special effects just yet, trying to get my basic editing and color correction down first. Is something wrong with my system?
I built a computer for my wife this past JanuaryIt stopped working on 4-17... just quit for no visible reason1 - replaced the power supply, but still would not start2 - replaced the motherboard, but still would not start3 - replaced the Intel i7 CPU, started and runs Going back to Pentium 3 days I have built myself 4 computers (this was the 2nd for my wife) and I have never had a problem with any of them (built new for more speed) so I guess this was just a bad CPU Side note... while talking to Intel about a replacement, I was asked to provide the batch number (which is printed on the top of the metal CPU case) and the serial number which is etched along the side of the tiny "motherboard" the CPU is mounted on... which is so small & faint that I could not see it... I was only able to see the SN when I took a close up picture with my camera, which let me see the number that was too faint for my unaided eyes Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had an In
Hello:I'm considering the purchase of a Dell Precision 3630 Tower. Can anyone give me feedback as to how Adobe Creative Cloud performs with this particular unit? Thanks.
We have a small live children's theatre that has been presenting online this past year. I'm looking at a refurb 27in iMac (2020 model, 10-core Intel Core i9, Radeon Pro 5700 XT with 16GB of GDDR6 memory), but it will run close to $4500 CDN once I add the needed memory. Should I be considering the new 24 in iMac: with 16g memory and a 2Tb drive, it comes in at $3100 CDN. I am creating 10 to 15 minute videos using 4k footage with color grading and some effects. The products are presented on Vimeo and the like as HD files, not 4K.
Dear Fellows, I am still very new on the topic Premiere Pro, so please have patience with me 😉I am planning to buy a new PC/ Laptop for my work with Premiere Pro.Initially I was focused on a PC/Tower. So it would be certainly much easier to meet the hardware requirements.(Except for the high prices on GPU).But now it gets clear, I will need a certain amount of mobililty with my new device and my daily work. Not very often, but still I have to think about buying a Laptop. I have found the lists of requirements from Adobe.Still I am not clear where to go, regarding the GPU.The named GPUs on that site I rarely find in Laptops. So it´s gettig hard to know which Laptop might be suitable. I was looking for Laptops escecially at Dell Precision, mobile Workstations.Other products I have found are Razor Blade or MSI. How do you judge a Laptop with a GPU with 6 to 8 GB, but still not in the list of recommended GPUs. Please understand my situation;I am planning to s

I need to buy a new laptop. I'm looking for a 15.6" that works well with Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. Does anyone know if the HP Spectre 360 (2020) work well with both programs.
Hello All, I am looking for a somewhat budget-friendly video editing laptop. I am willing to go up to $1,500 but would prefer not to. Do any of you have any suggestions? I am looking for plug and play, I do not want to buy anything then immediately switch out GPU or add memory (if possible). I have a small agency and just hired my first person. I need something they can edit remotely on. Thanks!! Dave
The past year has made me realize I will be working from home, the office, my cabin and more - I really need a travel companion for Premiere Pro. I have the iPad (most recent gen and NOT pro or air) and of course my desktop. I was thinking about the Surface Studio - but thats a $4k investment.... Does anyone here use the iPad Pro or other Tablet like device? I have a nice bluetooth keyboard/mouse that I use, but need something compatable (at least mostly) with Premiere Pro. I am not intrested in a standard "laptop" because I love my bluetooth keyboard and having two keyboards in my opinion is silly... I also prefer a touchscreen for when I need to animate and draw. ANY help, advice, etc would be great.
The new imacs with the M1 chil will be going on sale April 30th and am thinking of purchasing one - for processing 4K videos in Premiere Pro and for the 4.5K retina screen. Are there any engineers in this forum or anyone else who know if Premiere will work or not? Don't have time to deal with crashes, etc. so want to make sure Adobe has tested and tested with the M1 chip. Thoughts? Hope they are up to date with it....
I just built a new system using an AMD 3960x processor and an Nvidia GTX1070 GPU. The GPU is from my old system and due to the scarcity of the RTX3xxx series GPU's I haven't had a chance to upgrade it. I am running the latest Nvidia Studio driver version 462.31. My system BIOS, chipset drivers, and Windows updates are current.I am experiencing crashes in Adobe Premiere where my screen goes black and then my system reboots. The odd thing is it only seems to happen when I am doing light tasks in Premiere like simply playing a clip. Exporting (with GPU acceleration enabled) works fine. My system isn't overheating and can run for hours during a CPU or GPU stress test, I have also run Memtest multiple times and don't have any memory errors. My PSU is also new and of good quality; this issue only happens in Premiere. Other apps like Photoshop and Lightroom run fine, even demanding VR games that stress the GPU far more than Premiere run fine. I have tried reinstalling (with clean install opti
So, I upgraded my PC. It is now good enough to playback 4K ProRes RAW in ProRes 422HQ without Proxy in real time with any amount of effects applied. This does elevate the CPU to 80%-ish and the RAM is filling up slowly but surely. I'm fine with that. However, when it comes to exporting, my PC is like.. chilling. The CPU is running at somewhat around 30%, the memory is using only 10% (I have assigned 120GB in the settings, only uses 10GB), and everything I can see in the GPU is using at max. 10% (Dedicated GPU Memory: 3.3/11GB used, 16 more shared are unused).I'm a little bit disappointed. I mean sure, I need the power mostly for the playback itself, and exporting is still somewhat fast (takes around 1 hour to export a nine minute clip from ProResRaw to ProRes 4444XQ with all settings maxed out), but based on the utilization of the Hardware I feel this could be at least three times as fast, as that would be where the dedicated GPU memory and the CPU would reach their limits. This is both
