We have a small live children's theatre that has been presenting online this past year. I'm looking at a refurb 27in iMac (2020 model, 10-core Intel Core i9, Radeon Pro 5700 XT with 16GB of GDDR6 memory), but it will run close to $4500 CDN once I add the needed memory. Should I be considering the new 24 in iMac: with 16g memory and a 2Tb drive, it comes in at $3100 CDN. I am creating 10 to 15 minute videos using 4k footage with color grading and some effects. The products are presented on Vimeo and the like as HD files, not 4K.  

Dear Fellows, I am still very new on the topic Premiere Pro, so please have patience with me 😉I am planning to buy a new PC/ Laptop for my work with Premiere Pro.Initially I was focused on a PC/Tower. hi guys my pc spec is:pc spec:mainboard:gigabyte H61M-D2-B3ram 6gbcpu:i5_2400gpu:hd5450  and my problem is i have lag on put some effects on my clips on premier and I know the problem is for my cpu but I don't know if I should upgrade my gpu either or no .

I need to buy a new laptop.  I'm looking for a 15.6" that works well with Photoshop and Lightroom Classic.  Does anyone know if the HP Spectre 360 (2020) work well with both programs. 

Hello All, I am looking for a somewhat budget-friendly video editing laptop. I am willing to go up to $1,500 but would prefer not to. Do any of you have any suggestions? I am looking for plug and play, I do not want to buy anything then immediately switch out GPU or add memory (if possible). I have a small agency and just hired my first person. The past year has made me realize I will be working from home, the office, my cabin and more - I really need a travel companion for Premiere Pro. I have the iPad (most recent gen and NOT pro or air) and of course my desktop. I was thinking about the Surface Studio - but thats a $4k investment.... Does anyone here use the iPad Pro or other Tablet like device? I have a nice bluetooth keyboard/mouse that I use, but need something compatable (at least mostly) with Premiere Pro.  I am not intrested in a standard "laptop" because I love my bluetooth keyboard and having two keyboards in my opinion is silly... I also prefer a touchscreen for when I need to animate and draw.  ANY help, advice, etc would be great. 

The new imacs with the M1 chil will be going on sale April 30th and am thinking of purchasing one - for processing 4K videos in Premiere Pro and for the 4.5K retina screen.  Are there any engineers in this forum or anyone else who know if Premiere will work or not?  Don't have time to deal with crashes, etc. so want to make sure Adobe has tested and tested with the M1 chip.  Thoughts?  Hope they are up to date with it....

I just built a new system using an AMD 3960x processor and an Nvidia GTX1070 GPU. The GPU is from my old system and due to the scarcity of the RTX3xxx series GPU's I haven't had a chance to upgrade it. I am running the latest Nvidia Studio driver version 462.31. My system BIOS, chipset drivers, and Windows updates are current.I am experiencing crashes in Adobe Premiere where my screen goes black and then my system reboots. The odd thing is it only seems to happen when I am doing light tasks in Premiere like simply playing a clip. Exporting (with GPU acceleration enabled) works fine. My system isn't overheating and can run for hours during a CPU or GPU stress test, I have also run Memtest multiple times and don't have any memory errors. My PSU is also new and of good quality; this issue only happens in Premiere. Other apps like Photoshop and Lightroom run fine, even demanding VR games that stress the GPU far more than Premiere run fine. I have tried reinstalling (with clean install opti

So, I upgraded my PC. It is now good enough to playback 4K ProRes RAW in ProRes 422HQ without Proxy in real time with any amount of effects applied. This does elevate the CPU to 80%-ish and the RAM is filling up slowly but surely. I'm fine with that.However, when it comes to exporting, my PC is like.. chilling. The CPU is running at somewhat around 30%, the memory is using only 10% (I have assigned 120GB in the settings, only uses 10GB), and everything I can see in the GPU is using at max. 10% (Dedicated GPU Memory: 3.3/11GB used, 16 more shared are unused).I'm a little bit disappointed. I mean sure, I need the power mostly for the playback itself, and exporting is still somewhat fast (takes around 1 hour to export a nine minute clip from ProResRaw to ProRes 4444XQ with all settings maxed out), but based on the utilization of the Hardware I feel this could be at least three times as fast, as that would be where the dedicated GPU memory and the CPU would reach their limits. Hi All, My first post so a quick intro first - I'm just getting into video and still editing, I've found the Adobe suites easier than all the freeware to use so I've taken Lightroom Classic, Photoshop etc package. I then went to run some 4k drone footage through my 2012 MBPro 16GB, and to my utter horror the fan started and then the video feed gave me about a frame/pm.Soooo.. Hi, I'm looking to replace some of our editing systems and wondering if anyone has used/purchased 3XS Video Editing PC's from Scan.co.uk - Looking at the Higher end Ryzen and Threadripper CPU's for two of our PC's. Both suites are used for Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects with some Davinci Resolve work. Are the Thunderbolt 3.0 options reliable enough? Not providing exact specifications as really just looking for advice/reviews of these systems if someone has purchased previously. Thanks!

Hi Adobe Forums,I am trying to determine if there is a bottleneck in my video editing system setup - focusing on external hard drive setup. Nothing seems to be overly slow, but it is always best to prevent/solve a bottleneck for maximum performance when exporting video. I would like to know how to test for a bottleneck and learn how to prevent future bottlenecks in other systems. Is there a way to determine the read/write speeds that Adobe Premiere Pro needs when utilizing multiple external HDDs and SDDs? Perhaps some kind of monitoring program similar to Mac's "Activity Monitor" that shows CPU and memory usage percentage (which visually shows CPU and/or memory getting bottlenecked or not)? Or perhaps knowing necessary read/write speeds based on source material and/or the specs of the video being exported? I can provide full system specifications upon request (I am using a Mac), but I am looking for more general guidelines on how to determine bottlenecks as it relates to read/write spe

I have a laptop, I can't put 3 physical SSD's. I have 1 SSD nvme and 1 SSD sata iii. I've created two partitions on nvme = (B:) and (C:). (B:) for disk cache, (C:) for OS and apps; the SSD SATA III is (D:) for project files, footage, etc. What do you think about it? It's ok?I have a laptop, I can't put 3 physical SSD's

I build my current PC back in 2013 with a 6 core CPU and a GTX 680. It works pretty well with 1080 raw footage but as the new versions of Premiere Pro (2020) came in I was having trouble. It didn't like my graphics card so I stayed with the 2019 version. Previously when I would Export my video to MP4 files my GTX 680 did little or nothing. Now I am using the larest version PP (2021) and not only is there no problem with my old graphics card but when I Export to MP4 my GTX 680 is running hard and up to 100%. The Export time is about half of what it was. Is Premiere Pro finally using the GPU as it should have been all along?

I am so sorry if this has been asked before. I am and editor not a computer guru so I need some help please. I have been editing on 12.1.2. I now need to upgrade for a 4K project and I have no idea if I have to upgrade my processor and my card or just my card. Current specs are ADM FX(tm) - 6100 Six-Core Processor 3.30GHZ, 32 Ram, 64-bit, Quadro 4000 video card. Can someone give me recommendation that don't break the bank in order for me to upgrade to the latest 15.0 Adobe Premiere Pro? Thank you so much for your time and answers. 

Hello World,I recently picked up an R.A.T. 9 mouse hoping the thumbscroller and other shortcut buttons would make for easier timeline navigation but alas it doesnt respond. Most likely because as it works out Mad-Catz dont offer the customisation software for the R.A.T. 9 - but do other models. I tried these softwares but they dont work. At all! So I ask the Community what computer mice - and keyboard as we're at it (see below) - they have great results with please. Links absolutley welcome. Re: Keyboard - I currently have a RedDragon backlit really quiet (for nightime work) which is great but doesnt have a button for [\] which would of course show the entire timeline so instead I have to get the mouse, scroll and double click the grey bars. I've watched several YouTube reviews but I'd much rather recommendations from Premiere users first hand please. Thanks loads in advance,Lu

I'm leaning towards Audio Technica ATH m50x since it's hyped and I've seen some popular music producer artist use them, but some have said that it's not the best for editing. It was said that it's not the best for wide sound stage separation especially when the ATH m50x can over power the music on top of a voice over. Thus, you'll not have a proper mix of audio...  We travel a lot and ATH m50x is portable with a detachable cable. But also I'm not opposed to ddt770 80hms at least.
