Minimum system requirements only say Multicore Processor with 64-bit support, but not sure if CoreM qualifies as Multicore. Searching the forum threads, someone with a Lenovo Yoga 3 and CoreM said the install failed as it did not meet minimum requirements, but perhaps that was an older processor.

Hello Adobe CC Community,For the past few months my video team and I have been experiencing rather odd behavior from both Premiere Pro and After Effects. There is a huge lag between the time when we make a change to a clip on our timeline and the change actually taking effect. We figured at first that this might have been due to server connectivity and copied all of the clips locally to try to eliminate any bottleneck there. While performance seemed to improve very little, there is still a long 5 or so second waiting period for changes to take place. This makes it difficult to achieve good frame accuracy and slows down our work flow immensely. To add on to the slowdown, render times have increased dramatically. For anything other than a simple 30 second video without any graphics, rendering can take multiple hours to complete and generally experience errors along the way. If anyone could help on this I would be extremely grateful. We have a RAID 6 running on a 1880x STORPORT. After a power failure to the external RAID box during slacktime (the computer was on, but nothing was running on it, so no data being written), the BIOS startup screen stated that RAID 6 was not in NORMAL state. After bootup, ARECA Raid controller showed that RAID set has FAILED.So I ran RESCUE and restarted. Then SIGNAT. Then LeVeL2ReScUE. The RAID came up as NORMAL in the ARECA web interface but inaccessible by Windows.Then I performed a Volume Consistency Check with both tick boxes checked (Scrub bad block and Re-compute Parity). The process took just over 12  hours and now the machine boots up showing the RAID being there at BIOS stage, with the correct volume size. However, clicking on the drive in Windows results in Windows saying 'Drive is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupt.' I ran the PPBM a few times on my current machine. I can't tell from the results, but I would have thought my disk time would have been higher? Also, my time seems to be slghtly better than the 2600K listed on the website. Here's the results:

So, I've been getting the parts together for my new rig. I was basically planning to get Asus x99 Deluxe II with an i7-6850K. But I have been waiting to see if the price drops due to Ryzen, or even if I should go that direction. I'm don't think I'm an AMD type, but then again, maybe I could... Here's the parts I've purchased so far, which I think will work for either. Though the memory is on the QVL for the ASUS motherboard and I have no idea which motherboard to get if I went Ryzen. Any thoughts on whether the 6850k will be cheaper soon ($569 currently at B/H) and/or the wisdom of going AMD. I recently installed the latest CC 2017. Since the upload, I have found that the applications take a good 60 seconds to load. It has really slowed down my workflow and left me unsure about how to fix this. I also run suitcase 3 for my fonts which is now not working. I got my 6850K overclock stable will realbench, Prime95 etc on 4.4 GHz. I am only doing video editing and motion design in After Effects. All pretty heavy CPU processes. I never had a problem editing my projects so far until I rendered a major project with Premiere Pro CC 2017. After 30% rendering of my project my CPU drops down to 1-2% CPU usage but keeps the rendering running which ofc will then take ages.I am now wondering if that's a sign of instability or software related since Adobe CC is very buggy.I seemed to have fixed it when putting AVX offet to 1. Watching the cpu usage while rendering I can see that i occassionally drops down to 4,3 Ghz. Would raising the core voltage be the only why to get it stable if that failure would be overclocking related? Any advises? Thank you!

I have been going nuts trying to figure out why this iMac with a 660m will not allow me to use the accelerated graphics with Adobe Pr or Ae. Then I saw that I need a little more vram than the 512 that I have. I have a PC that has 3GB dedicated but I want to use my imac. Any way at all without ripping this 27 inch screen off or getting a new mortgage..... I mean mac!!!!!

Hello friends, I use a second hand computer, I've just installed the Adobe Suite (almost all of it) and started to use Illustrator. So far I don't know if this PC has any hardware issue inside, and my questions are: if this PC had any hardware problem (a physical issue), how could I notice this as I'm using Illustrator o Photoshop? How could this affect the softwares or the files I'm working on? I don't want my files to get messed up as I'm working or about to finish working on them. So I'm on the road and need to do some editing. I'm finding my laptop is getting very glitchy in playback, so I'm suspecting my storage isn't optimised. dear users, i plan to upgrade my computer and set ssd with OS. itis recommended to use different drive for photoshop's swap file. if i divide one hard drive into two logical disks and install OS on one, and set swap file on the second, will it be efficient for the photoshop?

Anyone know which video card supports 4K GPU render/live 4K timeline playback?I had an iMac 5K (Late 2015) AMD Radeon M390X 2GB with FCPX 4K timeline playback and render was fast and smooth but Adobe Premier Pro CC 2017 even though it said GPU render was stuttering pretty bad. Tried Metal, Open CL it was slow. Wondering if FirePro is better for 4K in Adobe PP CC 2017?

Is anyone here using a thunderbolt disk array with a stationary PC workstation? I'm building a Premiere/AE machine and there seem to be no first hand testimonials that you can actually reliably run a Thunderbolt3 RAID array (like Pegasus R6 or Caldigit T4) with a Windows 10 stationary PC in a pro editing/vfx environment. I plan to stick to the X99 range and from what I heard only the Gigabyte Designare motherboard has a physical onboard TB3 socket. The Asus Thunderbolt EX3 addon card is very flaky (B&W client opinions).  Any links/tips/gossip would be highly appreciated.

My old computer is dying. I need to upgrade to Windows 7 or newer. My original Illustrator software is version 7 for PC. I have hard copy upgrades to CS5. No cloud versions. Will these versions load to windows 7 and then upgrade to 10. OR load to 10? Also have Photoshop CS5 and InDesign. All noncloud versions. Hi,I have tried to find some helpful information about this topic by myself, but there's so much to find that I kind of got lost in all this information.So here's the case: I like Illustrating things in Adobe Illustrator and apply a finishing touch in Adobe Photoshop. I also like photography and from time to time I use Lightroom to edit some RAW images, but Illustrator is the program I use the most. By far.This works nicely, but I have a few problems. First, when I have placed a lot of brush strokes in Adobe Illustrator in a single layer, it tends to get slow. The more brush strokes, the slower it gets. This is especially a problem when illustrating hair, for example. The zooming gets slower as well. As soon as I start editing in another layer it's fine again. Also, when editing big files in Photoshop it tends to get slower.So I want to optimize my Illustrator experience.
