File cannot be opened, although correct password.

I have the latest Acrobat Reader DC installed on my Windows 10 laptop Lenovo 450s. I get the error "incorrect password". Same problem encountered on the Android phone S21+. Another user is able to open this pdf file on his Android phone using the exact same password.
