Why adobe is not allowing me to download PDF files and save them on my desktop ?

I receive a .pdf file by email.

I downloaded it and can read it.

But i am not able to save it on my desktop.

I am getting the message

The document could not be saved.

There was a problem reading this document (114)

The file is probably corrupt. But if you downloaded it then you can easily copy it from one location on your computer to another. You don't need Reader for that.
