Hi - I am working on a PDF form that uses a custom javascript to auto fill text boxes based on check marks. Becasue there a few different selections is it possible to write a script that will auto format the whole document, so all of my paragraphs are equally spaced and paragraphs/lines wont have to be pushed up or down when the form is complete ?  Thank you

I have a text field whose required status is based on a selection made in a drop down.  What I need to add to the code that I've already got (see below): if (this.getField("Bedrooms").value=="Points"){event.target.required=true}else if (this.getField("Bathrooms").value=="Points"){event.target.required=true}else if (this.getField("Occupancy").value=="Points"){event.target.required=true}else{event.target.required=false} Is that if this field is required it cannot equal 0.  The problem is that any other time, it can be 0.  I don't doubt that it is doable.  I just don't have the knowledge to make it happen...  Any help would be appreciated.

Essentially I'm trying to pull two different lists into two separate dialog "popup" lists but for some reason only one of the lists will populate at a time. I'm doing all this in a folder level script and I am unable to change that. The data is being pulled from a proprietary application. I'm trying to use radio buttons to select a "sample type". Upon selection, I want the form to default certain tests to that particular sample type.  For example, selecting PARTS would default the Salmonella, Campylobacter, and EB testing radio buttons on.. I'm fairly new to Acrobat and JS so any help or advise is greatly appreciated. Looking to convert lots of documents to text.  Need meta data about the document and the text.  One data point that is needed is the indent.  Need to know if a line is indented from the left margin and some sort of quantification of that indent such as spaces, tabs or something else.  If such a tool does not exist I am willing to code it but this new to me.  What tools might help solve this problem?  

Hi, I am creating a an editable PDF with multple form fields including an image field. I have a shape that is 1.5x1.25" for the field. I want to know if there is a script I can add so the importaed image scales up so it fits the shape 100% instead of just scaling proportionaly to the width or height. Thanks D

Hello,I'm having a problem converting a scanned document from pdf to word. I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 on Mac.I'm scanning sections of a book into pdf format, then I have ran them through OCR by exporting them to word in order to get editable text. I have two problems: (1) The scanned document is in landscape, but I need the final editable text in portrait and the text itself to be formatted like a normal word document, i.e., not the format in which it was scanned but as if I opened word and began to type sections of the book, trying to mirror how it is presented there - I cannot simply change the orientation from landscape to portrait because its a scanned document, and everything becomes scrambled and the text doesn't actually fit on the page; and (2) some of the text is not showing up because there are glitches or missing portions of text, some areas have strange symbols instead of text as well.My biggest problem, at this point, is that I cannot seem to convert the scanned documen

Hi all, Trying to figure out the custom calculation script to be able to add multiple values of different form fields if a form field includes a value above 300. For context, I am trying to sum the number of upper division credits, (courses at 300 level or above,) for a form that I use to meet with students. In the attached file, I would love for "UD Credits" to add the value of "a" if "Fall 1" includes in a string a value above 300, such as MATH 321. I would then need to add the respective values of "aa," "aaa," "aaaa" and so on based on their respective left form fields.  Sorry to ask this question! I'm very, very new at javascript and I've tried to experiment with the script by using boolean logic, .includes, etc. but I'm just not able to make anything work!  

I am looking to create a new PDF with lines drawn on it.I was wondering if there was a way to draw lines/shapes on PDF using JavaScript. ( I know that this can be achieved by C++ coding or the comment mode function in PDF)

Hi, we're trying to add headers and footers to locked pages.  Long story short: We get about 300 pages of signed documents that we used a script on to flatten the documents then we could add headers and footers to the pages and save as a new PDF.  However, the addon is too old and does not work any longer.Is there any other way to do this?  At present we are running "Optimize PDF" with a few settings and that works but it is not an ideal solution.  We would like to take the 300+ pages, keep them locked (either via saving as image or something), merge them all together, and add a footer (like page numbers, dates, etc...)

Hi! I am trying to create an invoice form that will hold varying VAT tax percentages. Each row has both a total price before tax (Field A), and a number indicating the VAT % of that row (Field 1).I would like to show the total sums for three different tax levels on the bottom of my form, where each field would preferably autopopulate with the sums for that tax %. For example: Fields A, B, D, and G should be summed because fields 1, 2, 4, and 7 show the same number, while fields C, E, and F sum because fields 3, 5, and 6 show the same number. I am not super familiar with javascript but assume I will need to use a hefty amount of if statements.I've looked at this thread to try to figure it out but need some help figuring out how to code it for acrobat: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50879417/sum-field-values-based-on-condition-in-another-field-in-javascript I'm working directly in Acrobat, right clicking fields > properties > custom calculation script. Woul

hey all,  i am in the process of creating a form for jobsite management to use when tracking force account work. i pretty much have everything but ive seem to hit a roadblock. i have a couple dropdown lists and i want to have 3 fixed selections and the option for custom entry just incase its needed. so for example dropdown list 1 =  employee classification: and the options are N/A, Journeyman, Apprentice. i want these 3 options to be fixed values which is easy but i would also like a 4th selection added called custom and when this is selected the user is able to input custom text.  any suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you

I just recently switched over to the 64-bit version of Firefox v44.0 which was surprisingly painless. All of my extensions and plugins are working great with the exception of my Acrobat Create PDF plugin. I tested the 32-bit version of Firefox 44.0 and the Create PDF plugin is working fine so I'm assuming this has something to do with the plugin needing to be updated for 64-bit support.Are there any updates on the horizon or perhaps a hack/tweak to allow the plugin to work in 64-bit Firefox as well?

Hi there, I am creating a pricing form for a client. I have a dropdown menu of services to choose from. We then have working calculation fields where they add in their [quantity] x [price] and then it spits out the total in another text box. All is working great. They've asked if I can add in a custom calculation if they select [Digital] from the services list, which then divides the [quantity] by 1000 and then multiplied by the price to calculate their total. Current calculations can stay the same if they choose any other service.  Based on one dropdown item: [Quantity] / 1000 x [Price] = [Total] I'm sure this is doable, but i'm pretty new to scripting in the forms and can't find anything online to know what parts to start with. Any help is much appriciated.

I have searched and tired several javascripts, but being a beginner in this area I must have forgotten something along the string. I have a checkbox that if selected a sentence shows up.  (I've named the checkbox and the text box, too)Another checkbox, that if selected also a popup sentence and another exisiting filed must be required and  filled out.  

I deal with larges sets of medical treatment records that I must submit to the government in my client cases in a specific order.  The government wants the treatment notes ordered from most recent to the oldest.  The records typically come from a doctor or hospital, however, in an order in which the oldest are "on top".  Now if every treatment note for a given date was only one page, it would easy enough to get my records in shape for government submission by simply printing to Adobe PDF printer in reverse page order.  But of course that is not the reality: treatment records for a given date can be multi-page.  So for example the 3 pages for treatment records of ##/##/#### must be "kept together in the deck" so to speak.  I am fortunate in that I can rely on this 3 pages already being in the right order (page 1, then page 2, then page 3) but I need to create some type of javascipt that keeps that group together, but puts it along with treatment notes for o
