Hello everyone, I am using Acrobat X. this.movePave(3,5) comment moving 4th page to 6th position. this.movePage(5,3) is not moving 6th page to 4th position. Please some one explain how to use this.movePage().

I am new to both PDF form and JavaScript, so I apologize if this question seems obvious, or isn't worded effectively.I'm attempting to create a custom text field which will calculate the user's "Star Wars Galactic Birth Year" as part of a PDF form. Basically, type in your age, and it will spit out your "birth year", appended with BBY or ABY depending on if the number is positive or negative. First, I may not be using the correct terminology. I want to have the password displayed as asterisks as it is being entered—that's what I'm calling "hashed."try67 gave me an excellent, simple script to protect the text field in question with a password, but it doesn't conceal the password with asterisks while it's being input (I didn't think to ask for that). So, I have this file with 20 something pages in it. I wrote some code to split the files into different individual files based on a bunch of file names I have put in an excel spreadsheet (like page 1 is called file XXX and page 2 is called file YYY). It worked great for a good number of the files I have, but apparently, it did not work for all files. What troubles me is that, I have the following two lines in the code. which writes to the immediate console based on the save operation, and all of these operations showed as successful. Not all the files show up in file explorer (windows) after the save. Is this a bug within the PDDoc.save function? Or is there something I missed that is causing this? I currently open each file, open the js console, and type the code for each file. I have 100+ files and it is quite cumbersome.

I created a form that has 3 text fields to enter in a long description. I was able to find a script to autotab onto the next text field after a character limit is reached, but now words get cut off in the middle if the character limit is reached. Is there a way to automatically move a word to the next line if it gets cut off due to the character limit?This is what it looks like now:Line 1: "This is a long sentence to demonstrLine 2: "ate." I have tried looking thru all the discussions and I just have not found the right answer to my question. Right now I have "hidden" text boxes that have custom calculations in order to simplify the other calculations. Then I have those text box engineering calculations also auto fill into a diagram I have on the same page. However I am having a hard time having the diagram populate with the correct numbers unless I create a fake "check box". Then it will trigger a change in the numbers. Same issue comes into play when we decide to change numbers in any of the text boxes without clearing the form completely.I have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2019 and I have not found the "set custom calculation order".

HI allI have created a form using Acrobat and it works well on the iPad which is the target device for using the form. As part of using the form I want users to be able to select "add comment" and sign the form using their finger and then submit it.I then want to be able to use a javascript to "clear" the form and delete all commentsI am using this javascript which works perfectly on the desktop but doesnt work on an iPad. There is a section of my form that asks for a person's date of birth. I would like for the field to allow the date of birth to be entered only in the following formats:1. m/d/yyyy2. m/d/yyThe Date Format under Text Field Properties only allows for one to be selected and I was wondering if there was any way to allow for multiple? I would prefer that the date of birth is displayed showing 4 digits for the year but I do not want it to give an error and cause any frustration if it's entered using only 2 digits for the year.

I reviewed this tutorial: https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/change_another_field  and it works great, but I need to create 15 more drop downs to do the same thing. How do I do this? The example in the above link only shows how to create once instance.

Hello,Is there a possibility in Acrobat to add a field with a random number, which will change for each printed copy of a document. it would be perfect if such number could be then displayed as a 1D barcode.In other words, if I have a booklet of 6 pages on each page at the bottom a random number/barcode would be printed, but if user prints 10 copies each copy would have a unique number.Many thanks for any suggestions.
