Hi.I'm working on a pdf file created in inDesign. It is a document (pdf) with which we let people make declarations. Thay can put the description and amount in the document en it will count al the bills as one total.I thought ok that's easy with Acronbat Pro DC en the calculate field etc... but I'm keeping the error 109 with saving. And then It won't save.In the preview file it works.....The 0,00 won't work... it's says >> This default value does not match the format (Number) specified. Please enter a  default value that matches the format or change the format in the Format panel to match this default value.I need to count up 31 fields

I have a checkbox that if selected on the first PDF page it uses text from another hidden text form field and saves it as read only when checked.I still want the user to be able to unchecked the box and fill data in if needed.Everything is working fine on the first form field but the second field is not working. Hi there,I need to insert blank pages in a large PDF doc only once after it finds a specific word on that page and is odd.For eg:  If the page has the word "Print this document" and the page number is 5, then insert a blank page only after it.             If the page has the word "Print this document" and the page number is 6, then insert a blank page before and after it.             If the page does not have the word "Print this document", do nothing.The code sounds simple but I am just not sure. I am creating a grade sheet to report exam scores to students, and I'd like to simplify things using JS. Unfortunately, I have little knowledge of JS, and I've been sitting here trying to make it work for me. Alas, it's time to turn to the forum.I'm stumped on this problem: I need the colour of the text to change based on the relationship between two fields.1. Field 'Gr_Score' is the score earned by the student.2. Field 'Gr_Points' is the number of points for that section of the exam.If the ratio (i.e. the result of 'Gr_Score' divided by 'Gr_Points') is less than 60%, the text in 'Gr_Score' needs to appear red. If the ratio is greater than or equal to 60%, the text in 'Gr_Score' needs to appear green. I am very new to this but trying to learn. I found the script below on this site and I would like to get it working for me to see if it's what I'm trying to accomplish. I have it attached to an mouseUp action of a button and it pops out a window. I click to open a file and click OK and that's all it does. No opens any file. Would someone take a look at this script and show me what's wrong or what's not right? I sure would appreciate it. I just wanna see it, I feel it's so close to working. I have various annotation elements that have a State set using the transitionToState method.  I want to remove all state(s) from an annotation using JS, however I can't see any method in your SDK manual that allows you to remove State information?ThanksSimon

I need to place a JavaScript in Document Actions in a PDF form filler I created. I have created several fields that I listed as "required fields" in the form. I was hoping that I could insert a Script that will return a message informing the user that they have not filled out all of the required fields when they try to click Save as or Print. I have the document saved as a read-only. It is my intention that the user will not be able to save a copy or print a copy of the document until they have filled out the required fields.P.S. You would think that it wouldn't be very hard to remember to fill in your address and phone number but here we are.

Can someone help me out with this one? I would like to import a text file (which has names, addresses, city, state, etc) into a text field in a pdf doc instead of copying and pasting the info. I've seen similar scripts but for the life of me, cannot find them now. Does anyone know the javascript that will get the job done? I'd like to create a button and when clicked it would show the files on the desktop available to import into the pdf doc text field. I would appreciate an example if you know. Thanks so much.

Good evening, I am trying to figure out if it is possible to invoke a JS file on a PDF, from a windows batch process?  We are trying to see if it is possible for us to process documents outside of Acrobat.Any help is welcome!

I have a form field, Zip Code, that I would like to export as text when I export the data onto a CSV file.This information will be uploaded into an access database that already has the zip code field notated as "short text".When I format it as zip code, or zip code + 4, the exported value is a number (leading zeros are dropped).  There doesn't seem to be an option to format it as text, and support was no help. Is there custom formatting script that will allow me to do this?Is there a way of creating another type of field that will allow for text as an option?Thanks!

Hi.  I am new to the forum.I have a simple javascript in a main pdf document (General Forms).  The script creates a device independent path to second document and opens the document using app.openDoc.The script is as follows:str=this.path;FirstStringLength = str.length - 22FirstString = str.substring(0,FirstStringLength);app.openDoc({ cPath: FirstString + "/Test General Forms/Basic Lift Plan Form.pdf", cDest: "Forms TOC" });The script works fine on my personal computers (Windows and Mac).  However, when I try it in a networked office environment it issues the error:NotAllowedError: security settings prevent access to this property or method.App.openDoc: Field General Forms: Mouse Up.The Javascript reference manual does not state any security issues with the openDoc method.Any help?  Please.  Jim

Apologies if this has been asked before.I have two fields where the inputed numbers needs to equal 100%.For example, if a user enters 30% into field A, field B should generate 70%. The fields cannot exceed 100%.Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi everyoneHoping one of you can help me please....I have a pdf doc which is a questionnaire with a drop down list of responses for each answer (Yes, No and Partly). I then have a summary page at the end which counts the number of answers and calculates the percentage against each answer, i.e. Yes 34% No 23% Partly 43% ( i have a field for each of these).  What I would now like to do is have a field which calculates the largest percentage and fills the field with colour depending on the largest percentage, i.e if Yes is largest percentage then field is filled with Green, No with Red and Partly with yellow.can someone help me with the script for this please?Thank you so much in advance!!!

Hello. I dont have much experience in js in Adobe Reader and i have a question. I have to write app or script which navigate through a pdf (scrolling, change a page etc.) document by users hand gestures. Is it possible to bind certain operations with certain gestures? For example when gesture is recgonised, algorithm returns value which trigger some actions (ctrl + / ctrl - / up / down etc ) in the pdf document? Thanks for answers.

I have been using this script below to select Yes or No to populate text fields. It also works in other ways as well. Well, now I would like to include a tax field using the same script but what it's doing is, it's adding the "1", "2" or "3" inside of the tax rate field.
