Hi Guys,I have a question. I am trying to write a script with no success that sums up different cells based on their Job titles as shown in the picture below.I Need the Hour(s) column highlighted in red to get its value from the sum in column highlighted in blue based on the job number.example: all the "Apples" job number to be summed and displayed in the Hour(s) column highlights in red. in excel it would be something like this. (JobNumber and Totaltime would be the cell range)Apple Hours = SUMIF(JobNumber[0],"Apples",TotalTime(Hours)[0])Sumif(Range, Criteria, [sum_range])

Good evening, I am having some trouble understanding why my program has trouble deleting pages sometimes? My coworker and I use the same program, and he never gets errors when it comes to deleting pages via our script, only I get the error. We are pulling pages automatically from our shared cloud drive. The error I get goes along the lines of: "Error; could not delete pages; pages are open or are being used, and could not be deleted." Does anybody know why this happens?  Perhaps our google file drive does not like our script?

Good evening, is there any way to access, and run a Javascript program from outside of Acrobat? Let's say that there is an external program that wants to run a document automatically, is there any way to have an external program run an Acrobat program at all?

Hi, I don't know java script, but some where along my path someone gave me the simple java script for my button to load  previously saved PDF data back into a PDF.Could someone let me know if there is also a simple script to load CSV data into a PDF and what it is?thanks for all your help

Comments are invisible on my pdf document when I add a text comment but the text appears in the right-hand bar comment bar. My text was visible beforehand but has recently become invisible. Any way to fix this? Thanks!

I am trying to compute a form that my foreman can fill out onsite. I have 4 columns, Start, Finish, Number of Workers, and Total Time.How can the total time column to give a sum of every ones hours. example total hours = (Finish-Start)*Number of workers.Something that yields like the table below.ThanksJoshStartFinishNumber of workersTotal Time9:0017:003249:0016:00214

The question is all there is to it:  Are there any other ways to extract text from a page besides getPageNthWord?Likewise, are there ways to make getPageNthWord faster?

I have a form with several drop downs and many text fields built in the latest version of Acrobat DC.I have added a submit button that tests for required fields before submission.It tests text fields OK, but if the drop down has ANY value including the default "Please select" it considers that as a valid answer, despite a script added to ensure the drop down is always set as a required field if the value = "Please select".I have added this script to the custom format section, and tried it in Actions, Validation and Calculate sections, but it always has the same result. The submit button ignores that the drop down setting as "required".I have scoured the web for hours, there are many suggestions but look  a bit complex and beyond my novice JavaScript skills.How do I get the submit button to check if a drop down that has the default value, and to treat it as an empty field like a text field? Appreciate any advice.

I'm trying to convert PDFs to single-page tiff using the Adobe SDK using C#, but I'm confused on several points.  I've searched this forum but still have questions.- Do I need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on my computer to accomplish this?  Or can I accomplish this WITHOUT having to drive the Acrobat Reader's GUI app?  In other words, I don't want to open the Adobe user interface and start driving the GUI app that way.  I just want to have my C# program open a PDF fileand export it to tiff, with nothing visible on the screen.- Which of the SDKs should I use?       - Acrobat DC SDK    - Acrobat XI SDK    - Acrobat X SDKI downloaded sample probjects for each but they have a project reference to "acrobat" which isn't a dll presentin the samples directory.   Is that because I'm supposed to have the Acrobat Reader installed on mymachine, and the project is referencing a Registry based COM dll?&nbs

How do you create a button action that makes the button follow the user as they scroll through the PDF and when clicked it takes them to a specific page? For example, a button on the side of the document would follow the user as they scroll so that at any point they can click the button to return to the table of contents. I believe there is some type of javascript involved, but I don't know what it would be. Does anyone know? Thanks for any help!

I am creating an interactive form in Acrobat Pro and I would like to use Drop down menu entries to change relevant check boxes automatically please? So which ever drop down selection is made will trigger the relevant check box to be ticked on the form. How do you do that with Javascript please?

The custom calculation script shown below is working for some users and then not for others. When it's wrong, it's REALLY wrong (like 11 months off) and the font doesn't even appear correctly. So far the 2 users who reported the issue use a Microsoft Surface. Could this be the problem or is it something else? For context, i created a dynamic stamp with some javascript that allows you to input text on a stamp before its place (I.e a name or a date). An issue I've run into while using the stamp is that when you save the PDF you're stamping in, the text you input into the stamp cannot be undone. I've deleted the stamp from the drawings and tried applying it again but the previous text I entered keeps reappearing, no javascript prompt asking me to change it. Is this something that can be fixed within the document? The only way I can get around it is to start over with a PDF that hasn't been saved with a dynamic stamp attached to it. The only issue is that sometimes a backup isn't a available - As I said, just wondering if there's a work around to fix this in the original PDF document.Thanks,Paul

I have a drop down menu in a PDF  called "selectedReg" that changes a text field.I have the following in the Custom calculation script for the text field:if (selectedReg=="1") event.value = "Text for option 1";else if (selectedReg=="2") event.value = "Text for option 2";else if (selectedReg=="3") event.value = "Text for option 3"; After the text is displayed, I need to add some additional text to it.  But when I click out of the text field it will keep reverting to the default value.Any easy way that I can make changes to the text field and make them stay?Thanks!
