I'm trying to program a button to check required fields in a form. The goal is to walk the user through the fields that need attention. Right now it jumps to the field and highlights it. I want it to wait for the user to enter data before removing the highlight and jumping to the next field. We have some buildings that used to require a one page inspection sheet to be filled out per month.My previous JavaScript built an array of all our buildings, and whenever one didn't participate, I just "commented" it out of the array before running the JavaScript to bookmark all the pages that did participate.After they added a second sheet to this inspection, I tried to retrieve the buildings from that array to bookmark every SECOND page (for example, pages 1, 3, 5, 7, etc.). Hi All,We are trying to extract first page thumbnail from a pdf file . we are converting internally into image for first page and generating thumbnails . this process is taking too much time and giving performance issue .this is being done using java language .is there any other API or toll we can use which will give better performance using java please suggest .Our requirement - lots of pdf files are there with different size and size can be lead to max 30 MB file .either the 1st page of pdf can be converted into image generate different size thumbnails or directly from pdf file to different thumb nail size .either way is fine . please suggest .RegardsBirupakshya

So I want to have a script that changes the size and orientation of a signature block when signed. For example I have columns a-g and "g" has it's own A-F. Now if I fill out a1-gA1, I would add a signature on gA2 to close out this transaction. But I want the signature block to automagically orientate itself vertically and change the size to the remaining blocks in column gA. So if I sign on gA2 it will fill gA2-gA16. If I later sign on gB4, it will fill gB4-gB16 and so on respectively. Is there a script that could be written into the document to accommodate this? If you would like to view a sample form to go by Google DA Form 2062.

How does one access an external notepad file so that it can be used to run a script, instead of the built-in javascript editor?

The question itself is pretty much the short of it.My Javascript has become too large, and It sometimes crashes on me when I attempt to edit it for too long.Is there a way to fix this?

I want to work with digital signatures over documents in Acrobat. I want to call some web services to get the certificates and sign the document. Is the plug-in the best approach? Or should i go with IAC or maybe with a java script approach? Thank you! And one more thing, if you have any tutorials or any other materials to begin with.

I have been asked to develop a pdf where we'd have people use a dropdown menu to rank five topic areas 1,2,3,4, or 5.  If they select a 2 for the dropdown of the first topic area, I want the "2" to be removed from the other dropdowns (leaving just 1,3,4,5 for the remaining drop downs), and so on for each number selected in the dropdowns, so they can only use any number once.  I know how to do this in excel, but I'm being asked to do this in a PDF.   I was just curious if this is even possible in a pdf???? If not via dropdown, then maybe radio buttons?

I have created a dropdown that is pulling from 2 hidden fields. Problem is when I select the the second item in the list and tab, it automatically goes back to the first item in the list. Hello folks, To start, rest assured I am not a student looking for answers on homework. Rather I am a graphic designer who stepped out of his box a bit too far and need help. I am wanting to have a textbox (Text1) for entering info and a separate textbox (Text2) display only the numbers of characters used [without spaces]. I don't even need the msg part either, just a number that is counting as the customer types. We are charging by the actual character for this form and not the spaces.
