Questions

I've come along way with my programming of Javascript in Acrobat for forms and still have A LONG way to go!  I am not an expert, but always looking to improve.  I get overwhelmed if it gets too complicate but I have noticed my programming knowledge is growing as I overcome obstacles.  Can anyone help me with a scripting issue?  Here is my current situation:My goal is to allow the person filling out the form to make 2 manual entries based on a value.  Line #16 is the value.  Line #17 and #18 are manual entries that no matter what they enter on each line will give the result on line 16.  I'd like to be able to program as simple as possible (since my knowledge is simple) as script that if i make an entry on Line #17 then #18 will automatically populate the difference to equal to Line #16.  On the flip if I decide to make an entry on Line #18 then #17 will populate the difference to equal Line #16.  This needs to be this way not knowing which li

I would like to set tab order going from page one then to page two and then back to page one. The only way i know how to do this is to set the tab order on the left hand side in Acrobat.  Is there a way to write a jave script to allow me to tab from one page to the next and then back?  I can't figure this out.  THANKS again for any advice!updated the title : Malcolm Thomson

hi, i have setup my form total field to number & two decimal places so bellow formula answer showing 95.83. my request is i want to show that answer like 95.84.1150 / 12 = 95.8333333Also if i make another formula like (Total field value * 2), answer should be 191.68 & not 191.67Cau pls help me to solve this issue. thanks..

Good evening, we are trying to extract all of the strings off of a page, we print out said strings to the console, and none of the punctuation is being extracted... how does one extract *ALL* string information from a page?Thank you!

I am trying to create a survey with multiple groups of radio buttons. Currently, I have 9 different groups that each have 6 buttons (representing level of satisfaction from N/A to Very Satisfied). Essentially what I am trying to do is make it so that if you select either one of two of the buttons in the group, it will display a hidden field below the group of radio buttons. My problem is that in the group, lets refer to the buttons as button 1-6, if you select button 2, the script i have in the Mouse Up action works properly; it will display the hidden field when selected and hides it when it is unchecked or any other box is selected. However, I copied and pasted the same script in to button 6 with the Mouse Up action, and the field will not display or hide. Below is the JavaScript I am using. Hello, I need to know how to search 3d object in the 3d pdf.Is it possible to search 3d object using Javascript ?

Is there a script that will display a date in a set format no matter how it is entered.  Ex. entered 021119 or 2/11/19 and auto displayed as 11-Feb-19.

I created a PDF form and am using radio buttons. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI. I have been creating fillable forms for about a year now but want to take the extra step. I have 15 different group of radio buttons named "Observation Group 1 to  Observation Group 15" and in each group i have 3 choices " compliant, non-compliant and not applicable". i would like to be able to total each of the 3 choices ( how many compliant, how many Non-compliant etc) in another box. I think I would need a script file for this. I think it goes in the "Calculate" or in the "action" properties but really have no clue how to do it.  I have read a lot of this forum and would love any help you could bring. In my head it doesn't seem very hard when I explain what I want but I might be wrong.

I'm trying to program a button to check required fields in a form. The goal is to walk the user through the fields that need attention. Right now it jumps to the field and highlights it. I want it to wait for the user to enter data before removing the highlight and jumping to the next field. We have some buildings that used to require a one page inspection sheet to be filled out per month.My previous JavaScript built an array of all our buildings, and whenever one didn't participate, I just "commented" it out of the array before running the JavaScript to bookmark all the pages that did participate.After they added a second sheet to this inspection, I tried to retrieve the buildings from that array to bookmark every SECOND page (for example, pages 1, 3, 5, 7, etc.). So I want to have a script that changes the size and orientation of a signature block when signed. For example I have columns a-g and "g" has it's own A-F. Now if I fill out a1-gA1, I would add a signature on gA2 to close out this transaction. But I want the signature block to automagically orientate itself vertically and change the size to the remaining blocks in column gA. So if I sign on gA2 it will fill gA2-gA16. If I later sign on gB4, it will fill gB4-gB16 and so on respectively. Is there a script that could be written into the document to accommodate this? If you would like to view a sample form to go by Google DA Form 2062.

How does one access an external notepad file so that it can be used to run a script, instead of the built-in javascript editor?

The question itself is pretty much the short of it.My Javascript has become too large, and It sometimes crashes on me when I attempt to edit it for too long.Is there a way to fix this?

I want to work with digital signatures over documents in Acrobat. I want to call some web services to get the certificates and sign the document. Is the plug-in the best approach? Or should i go with IAC or maybe with a java script approach? Thank you! And one more thing, if you have any tutorials or any other materials to begin with.

I have been asked to develop a pdf where we'd have people use a dropdown menu to rank five topic areas 1,2,3,4, or 5.  If they select a 2 for the dropdown of the first topic area, I want the "2" to be removed from the other dropdowns (leaving just 1,3,4,5 for the remaining drop downs), and so on for each number selected in the dropdowns, so they can only use any number once.  I know how to do this in excel, but I'm being asked to do this in a PDF.   I was just curious if this is even possible in a pdf???? If not via dropdown, then maybe radio buttons?
