Validate will only alert if something is entered in, if the user just tabs over or clicks in another field no alert is set off.Calculate, will fire off each alert when one of them is triggered, which seems a bit annoying. Hi,I am creating a basic PDF form survey with radio button yes/no questions and next / back buttons to show each page. Hello,I am practically new to javascript and have no idea how to code. I have 2 items in a drop down list. These 2 items are 2 separate paragraphs with about 5-6 sentences each. When I run the form and click on the drop down menu, it only shows me 1 line of text and cuts off the rest. Is there any way to code so that the whole paragraph is displayed in the drop down text box? Would greatly appreciate your help!!

Then the document sends to printercompany who prints out the PDF document.The printig Company sends back the PDF and say they can not print because it is the CID font in the document."OK, the CID fonts is an adobe construction that uses another font table than regular fonts. In our print process included an optimization step where the font replacement copies of shared resources and where the problem arises. Character table of a CID font is not the same as other fonts. Both TrueType, OpenType, and PostScript using the same font tables."A colleague has shrunk the file with an external program, but the CID font is left.I've Googled but can not find how to remove the CID font from Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

Hi thereI created a form with a few text fields and some combo boxes. The combo boxes have Text as user value/face value and numbers as export values.The numbers are used to calculate some other fields on the form.I also added a button to reset the form, which works fine if I open the document on my desktop computer.But the intention is to use the form in a mobile environment and there I have a problem:whenever the form is reset, the default values are no longer displayed as text (by their user values). Instead the export values are used.e.g. the selected default value of my combo box would beuser value: goodexport value: 6If I open up the document for the first time in the mobile version of Acrobat it - correctly - says "good", but when I reset the form the field now states "6" as visible content.How can force the mobile version of acrobat after resetting to show the user value of the default combo-box item and not its export value?Thanks in advance----Additional info:- form based on

Hi,I am creating a PDF form survey with yes/no radio button questions. There is one question and "next" button per page that makes the next page appear. The question is called "Q1". I want to make the button do nothing until they answer.For example, if Q1 was on page 6, this code might keep them on the same page if they don't answer:var v = this.getField("Q1").valueAsString;  if (v==" ") this.pageNum = this.pageNum = 5;  else this.pageNum = 6; (This doesn't work - it always goes to page 7, even if they didn't respond)Any ideas on how to fix this?Thanks!

At work, for each project I submit, I use a pdf form that has the information from the previous two editions of that project, as well as the current. We manually copy each field down each year (CurrentPages gets copied to PrevPages, etc.). I was hoping I could use javascript and a button to make this automatic. Can anybody help? Some of these fields are text fields, some are drop down lists, etc. Each field that needs populated will already need filled and will need cleared and/or overridden.

Good evening, I made a script to print specific pages in a range from my document, except that the page information being printed are all different dimensions on the paper.Here is my script: print.this(false, 0, 6);print.this(false, 7, 23);Is there a sepcific printer setting I must use, to make the pages print out correctly?  Any help would be wonderful, I intended the pages to print out, "fitted."Thank you!

Hi,I am trying to write some code on the "exit" button of a survey that will close the form and export the data as a .csv file to a location on the user's computer of their choice. Have a custom action setup to reduce pdf file size in a specific folder and its subfolders.  However, I need the action to skip over all other file types that are NOT pdf files.  If it's a javascript command that needs to be inserted into the action, that would be fine.  But haven't found a way to accomplish this. Current action (without javascript command) fires error message when trying to open, .docx, .xlsx, .txt, etc. files. Any help would be greatly appreciated - even if it's to tell me to stop trying, it cannot be done.  Then I will move on.Thanks.

Hii am trying to create a form to that has a text field change color to either green or red depending on three things.  the first variable is a the text field "wpds1", the second is text field "dia1" and the third is the text field "Amps".  the user would input UB36 into the "wpds1" text field and either 5/32 or 1/8 into the "dia1" text field. I am trying to make a field change its fill color based on its expiration date. I have tried to figure out a way to do it using the action builder to no avail.Example:User enters expiration date in the date fieldif the date is greater than 90 days out the fill color stays whiteif the date is greater than 60 days out but less than 90 days out it turns greenif the date is greater than 30 days out but less than 60 days out it turns yellowif the date is less than 30 days out it turns redI was easily able to make this work in excel using =XX>TODAY() + 60 and a quick format change but livecycle is proving to be much more difficulty. Obviously I could stick with excel but PDF is so much cleaner IMO.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I am creating a mental health pdf form survey with very basic yes/no radio button options (See image below). Each page has one question. I am trying to create some simple code that transitions to the next page if a user selects one radio button (Q1 choice 1), but skip to the 11th page if they select the other (Q1 choice 2). I want this to happen when they click the "next" button.I assume I add the code to the "next" button... Something like "if radio button Q1 choice 1 = true, go to next page, else go to 11th page" (excuse my lack of coding knowledge).How would I go about this?Thanks!

Is there a Javascript available that automatically renames a PDF based on the content? Some fields in the PDF should be reflected in the PDF name.

I'm using the javascript map object and its not working as expected. I searched the forum for any issues with the map object, but found nothing. The relevant javascript documentation is here. I created a form with javascript at the Page Level.
