So I was completely unaware of javascript and calculations forms within the PDF world, but it would come in handy for a project I'm working on.This is an order form for printed collateral. I've designed it into categories (per type of print), and 4 columns in each row for quantities, and a checkbox for each quantity.I've done the pre-work by defining all of my checkbox values and unique names, now the hard part.I want to have a subtotal calculated from a selection of checkboxes, then each subtotal from each category will be added for a final total value. I've tinkered around in the 'prepare form' calculation property, but it doesn't revert to zero when a checkbox is deselected, and it recalculates all boxes checked every time a new box is checked. Ex: 250 is checked, and it calculates 115, but if an additional box is checked with a value of 145, it calculates it at (115 x 2) + 145 = 375, and it simply adds the value every time a box is checked or unchecked.Is there way to predefine eac

I have a loop to iterate through all of the fields and copy them from a target pdf to the current pdf. This currently works well with manually calling the fields, and with console.log within the loop. But as soon as the field.value is updated with the field.value of the other pdf the software crashes (infinite loop?). It even crashes if the field.value is manually set for all fields. Of the many many many issues with scripting issues there are with writing code in Acrobat, this one I have not found a work around. How  are we supposed to find the inner document window rec when none of the window rec functions work?

Summary: I need a drop-down menu to populate with numbers that a client will enter themselves from a previous page in fillable forms. Is this possible? Is it possible if i make it all on one page?Context:Page 1 of the PDF is a fillable form. I sent this to clients, where they fill in some forms including their Account IDs. This could have anywhere from 3 to 100 answers put into it depending on the client it's being sent to. For example: say the group is Coca Cola and they have 45 accounts. Each account will be here with a unique account number.On the next page, the Account ID's need to all auto-populate into a dropdown menu. Is this even possible? I have this working in excel, it grabs a section of rows (b7 through b107) and auto-populates the list depending on what's entered in those areas. Currently I've designed a form with text fields whereby I can either type in "Not applicable" or numerical values. However, the default formatting does not cater to my requirements. Can anyone kindly guide me in regards to formatting using Javascript as I'm totally new to Javascript?

Is there a way to interact with COM/OLE, specifically the AcroExch.app function, without the need of a full Acrobat Pro/Std installation?If not, is there any licensing specifically allowing these actions? Or I need a full install of Acrobat it should work.Thank you

Is there a way to automatically populate data from the field you just entered into? When you click the second field, it will populate the data from the first field. If you don't click the second field, it will remain blank. If you delete it, the first field won't be affected.

I use to be able to create a fill-in form, it would keep a copy of the forms I filled out when I selected to fill a blank copy, Adobe would keep the previous forms in the same file.  It would act as a database keeping all the information in chronological order.  I was also able to search the form's fields in all the transactions.  How do I save created forms with this feature or is it no longer available?

I am trying to import mark-ups based on the value of a dropdown on the page.I currently have the import script as a toolbar button. I have several different pre-made styles and need the dropdown "RISER_TYPE" to import the mark-up associated to the value when selected. I'm using Acrobat 2017 on a Windows 10 machine and trying to automate some functions on a PDF form.  I have been reading the forums and I'm not even sure it is possible now.  Could someone on this forum please save me some time and tell me if this even possible so I can drop it if I can't even do it?1. Save the data from the PDF form to an Excel spreadsheet to a specified location on a SharePoint server.2. Flatten the file and save the whole PDF to a specified location on a SharePoint server.3. Save the file again to a dynamically set folder on a SharePoint server.4. I'd like to change the current values of 12 numerical text fields on the mouseup of a button. I've tried defining variables and saying the variable value equals itself + or - the change, creating a temporary variable and assigning a value to it and systematically changing the values of each, creating  functions, etc. Here's my script worksheet with everything I've tried. the last has a document level function. I'm not a java guy, but I've gone over the internet threads and couldn't find the exact fix to my problem. I'm using acrobat pro dc. I'm using a text field formatted to number with the following calculation:(A+B+C+D)/4 in the simplified field notation.I now need this calculation to always round up to the highest integer. Here are a few examples:12.1=1312.5=1312.9=13etc.From what I've read, everyone says to use Math.ceil(); however, I cannot enter an actual number with Math.ceil() since I don't know the numbers because it's calculating them based on user input from other fields.I believe it has something to do with inputting the following math equation:( x + y - 1 ) / yI just don't know how to implement it. Also, does it matter if I have number set to 0 or 2 for decimal places if I'm just looking for the higher integer?Any custom calculation or validation scripts I can use to fix this? Thanks!

Hi. I have created a form in Acrobat Dc using form fields to input data, then finalised by initiating an actional button to make content 'read only' which was configured using a java script with mouse up action. This form is saved in an EDRMS as a template to allow the end user to raise automatically in their respective folder to submit for approvwl. When tested by a user that has adobe pro dc installed this works well and releases automatically once the form is completed and made read only by iniating the button. However if this action is completed by a user that only has Adobe reader, the form will launch another 'save as' window which will require saving the form through navigating back to their folder to save, even though the original form (generated by the template) is still in edit mode. Hi - I'm new here. I usually just google when I can't figure something out but I can't find a close enough scenario for me to figure this out. I'm not a pro at java or scripting - I'm self-taught; this is how I learn - so bear with me.i have a form that calculates mileage reimbursement amount (miles multiplied by reimbursement rate) but I want the user to select a radio button for either "regular" or "relocation" because the reimbursement rates are different for each. How can I get the subtotal field to use the reimbursement rate related to the corresponding mileage type?I'd appreciate any ideas.
