How can I generate a unique sequential number on a PDF form field? I want the sequence to be locked once form is saved (Save as) and generate a new sequence when a new form is opened. I also have a reset form button to clear all fields on the form and wouldnt want to affect the sequence field unless it is saved.

Hello,I'm trying to use AcroPDF interface to show a PDF form, get it filled by the user, and get back the filled-up form, to save it into my database.How can I do this (the interface doesn't allow me to save it into a temporary file or to get back the pdf or an image of it) ?Thanks for your help

I receive a no. of pdf files daily which need to be send for Reviewing. We are trying to develop a workflow through which I can enable Commenting and Analysis on received pdf and start the process of Reviewing by sending an email. Do we have any option in Javascript SDK for this ? I see a old post of 2010 that says it is not possible , Is that true now also. Please help.

I need the user to enter a dollar amount in field A then reenter it in field B.  I want to compare fields A and B and throw and error if they don't match.   how do I do this?  i have ZERO java experience so dumb it down for me!! thanks.

Not looking for app.browseForDoc() function.  This one only gets the files.  I am looking for a way to bring up the Folder selection box so a user can select the folder location where a list of files are kept and then have a simple script to loop through the folder selected and combine them into one document.  Does anyone know how to do this?

I would like to display all the attachments in the document in a list which are attached by addAnnot. For that purpose I created a list which will run below script on mouseUp event.. But whenever the script runs, it basically invalidates the certified document with an invisible signature. Hi all,I am working on writing a doc-level function to be triggered when a particular page opens.A salesperson enters information for warranties (up to 4) that a customer has purchased for their vehicle on the first page of the document. When the page for the Bill of Sale opens, I want the "Notes" section to populate with the warranty information (description and cost).I don't want to take up more of the Notes section than necessary, so the function I'm writing will ultimately shift the line items up/down (i.e. if there is only one warranty package included, I want it to only show up on the last line). I haven't gotten that far yet as I keep getting a "field is null" error when I test this function.It will work for one line and populate it with information, then error and stop. If I run it a second time, it populates the next line, then errors. I can keep running it and it will fill everything correctly, but I can't figure out where the error is coming from. I don't know if the user will be filling out the form using Acrobat Pro or Reader so I'm using a logic statement in the document level Javascript to determine whether to use the "ImportDataObject" (Pro) or "AddAnot" (Reader) method.The problem that I'm running into is that while I can export document level attachments using the "this.exportDataObject" function by referencing the name passed to the "ImportDataOjbect" function... I don't know how to export a page level file attachment added using the "AddAnot" function.Really appreciate any help. Hello,Background - I have a couple PDF floorplans with close to 100 cubicles and due to internal staff turnover, it needs to be updated often.  I was able to use Excel vba to dynamically update the cublicle assignments, but since the floorplans were plotted with all the layers, including dimensions, fixtures to plumbing, the drawings are very clutter. Hello, this problem is part of an ongoing issue that I have been addressing after getting a new computer that has a high resolution 1920x1080 screen and is running Windows 10. The sizes of icons, fonts, everything are far too small to read comfortably at 100% or even 125% zoom. Therefore, I have selected over 150% zoom in the windows settings for "Change the size of text, apps, and other items". This causes issues with almost all of the applications, which become blurry at the higher zoom setting. However, right clicking on the desktop icon > properties > compatibility tab > checking "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" seems to fix most of the problems with blurry text. I'm not sure if this is related, but the last issue I have is this: When I go to the Edit > preferences window, something like 15-20% of the window is hanging below the screen, and even if I resize the window, no scroll bar pops up. I can't hit Apply (or OK, or whatever else is down there) because
