This works when I add the following script to the Custom Calculation in the 'JobType' text field, I type Regular in my 'Status' Text Field the number 1 shows up in 'Job Type' text field.The problem is I also need to be able to type Temp so the number 2 shows up, but when I try to add it and and I type Regular in the 'Status' field 2 shows up in 'Job Type', not 1.  I've tried everything and it's probably so simple var a ="";     if (this.getField("Status").value == "Regular"){     a="1";     }     event.value = a;

HiI am trying to make a textfield(input) become require if checkbox(special) is ticked.  I have tried everything I can think of.  I believe the problem is with the code for thecheckbox. Hello,I'm beginner to JavaScript and Acrobat JS api. I'm trying to write a script which makes annotations on phrases instead of single words, and I wanted it to be case insensitive. Therefore logically, I thought of using .toUpperCase() method on both this.getPageNthWord(p, w) and the words searched. To simplify it's use for multiple sentences, every phrases entered are pushed in an array and the annotation function is called for every items in this array.But the problem is that when I launch the script, the annotation is made only for the first phrase in the array and I get a "TypeError: this.getPageNthWord(p, w) has no properties" in the console.Here is a basic case which reproduces the exact same problem.In this example this is only an array of words which is searched for annotations, but as in my case, only the first word is highlighted and we get the same "TypeError: this.getPageNthWord(p, w) has no properties"function DoHighlight(word){for (var p = 0; p < this.numPages; p++){&

I have created a drop down list called 'Employee List' to auto populate to 2 different text fields, 'Employee Name/ID1' and 'Employee Status1', that part I've got.When picking from the 'Employee List' and 'Regular' auto populates to the 'Employee Status1' the number '1' will auto populate to another text field named 'PayTypeStatus1'.  If 'Temp' auto populates to 'Employee Status' the no '2' will auto populate to 'PayTypeStatus2' etcThe other step involves a separate drop down list called 'Acting Rate'.  If an acting rate is picked it will need to override the Regular or Temp Status auto populated from 'Employee List' to say 'Acting', then 'Acting' will auto populate the number'11' to the 'PayTypeStatus' text field.One more thing, if 'Auxiliary' auto populates to 'Employee Status' from the 'Employee List' the number 3 will auto populate to 'PayTypeStatus' BUT if an acting rate is chosen the status needs to stay '3', not '11' as described above.I'm hoping for help, please

I have 3 text boxes involved in this code. the first text box is called adults, the second is called children and the third is called result. I am trying to figure out how to do this one last task for my document but I'm a little baffled being new to JS, but I have mastered how to auto populate a text field from a drop down box!  Yeah!!Now I just need to figure out how to auto populate to my text fields from a check box, then I'll be done woo hooWhen the user ticks a check box (named 'Check box Sweeper 1') I would like the number '2' to auto populate to a text field named 'SSPHR1'.I will have 12 check boxes named differently that will need to do the same thing...When the user ticks the next check box (named 'Check box Sweeper 2') the number '2' will auto populate to the text field named 'SSPHR2 etcI'm pretty sure I have to put the script in the 'Custom calculation script' in the 'SSPHR1', 'SSPHR2' etc text fields, but I'm not sure the script I would use.  Also, would I need to change anything in the Check box Sweeper fields?Thank you!!

I'm attempting to nest an if statement to display a validation alert and a secondary informational alert which works fine, but continually pops-up with each field calculation if true. I'm now trying to incorporate the oCheckbox parameter after reading THIS article; however, although it displays properly and though my hideWarning variable is accurately resetting to "true" once the oCheckbox is checked, it does not stop popping-up. Any ideas what I'm doing incorrectly? I have an Acrobat form with monthly and annual expense columns. I would like it if the user could fill in either with both autofilling the other while still leaving them fillable. So if the user puts $10 in the monthly column the annual would auto calculate to $120. But, if they change the annual column to $144 the monthly would change to $12. I have a list of pdf documents, all of them have "ABC" field which is a sum of fields Field1 and Field2. I am creating a dynamic stamp that I need to populate with information from the file path of the document that is being stamped.  The file path contains a date that I need to parse out and input into the stamp.  Unfortunately, I have only been able to get the document name or the file path of the stamp itself. Using event.source.source.documentFullName only gives me the document name without the path.  Of course, this.path gives me the path of the stamp only.  Is there a way, using javascript in the stamp, to get the full path? If this is not an option, I would need a way to prompt user to enter a date one time and be able to save that date to be used on subsequent stamping, so they don't have to enter it every time the stamp is used while Acrobat pro is open.  It can reset once it is closed.  The users need to stamp this specific date (and it is not the current date) on over 200 of the 500+ documents they review each time, and they don't want to have to e

I am using a validation code to in a text field, which I is to be typed into, to define a dropdown based on said typed in value. When I first started, the pdf would lag and show the options in the dropdown for the case I had just deleted from the typed field. For example, if you look at the code below, if I typed in "VS06", it would show nothing. And then, if I typed in "VS08", it would show the options for "VS06". I am trying to create a form in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro with three drop downs, two of which are dependent upon the selection made in the drop down before it.Given that I've never done anything of this nature previously, I have followed the advice given in this thread but am having an issue that didn't seem to come up there, and I couldn't find anything similar in other threads.The population of the dynamic drop down menus works fine, but I'm having trouble getting the values selected in the second and third drop downs to "stick". Hi, I would like a dropdown list be on a certain item based on a number on another field.So basically if I write a number on the field at the bottom that is higher than 10000, I want the upper field to show the option "Más de 10000". And if the user changes the selection on the upper field to any other option (except "Más de 10000"), remove whatever number it is on the bottom field.Many thanks!

Working on a POC to look for pattern e.g 12345-1234 and then create a hyperlink on it using javascript.My question is how to make 'getPageNthWord' function to include '-' while splitting words. As of now, when '-' is found, the word is cut as '12345-' and '1234' as I'm having the 'bStrip' value as false.I want as single word without any splitsAny kind of help is appreciated.Thanks in advance.

Hi, I was wondering if I could get some help with making a textfield required based on a particular radio button selection. I have a form that I'm creating and have several questions with radio buttons. For some of my questions there are yes/no radio buttons and if the user selects "yes", I ask "if yes, what?" with a textfield for their explanation beside it. I can't seem to find exactly what I am looking for. I have document that is two pages long with the second page being a hidden template. When the submit button is pressed on the first visible page a second page is spawned in between the first page and the hidden second (thus making the hidden template page 3). I am trying to figure out how to affix a "1" in a text field on the spawned page and then count up from there as the user completes the form and spawns more pages.So it Starts with: P1, (Hidden P2).     But I'd like it to be: P1, Spawned P2 / #1, Spawned P3 w/#2, Spawned P4/#3, etc, Hidden Template page
