I would like to make a pdf form. When the user fills out the form and presses the  "Submit" button then the form should be saved to a network location (on server) and the filename should be made of 2 form fields (  name  and  Date) plus a sequential number. Example: test25042018-1.pdf; test26042018-2; etcIs this possible?? if yes, how to do it??I am using Windows 10 and Adobe Acrobat DCThe server path to save to is    \\server\shared\FormsI really would appreciate any help as I am a total beginner in javascripting.

Leider komme ich nun nicht wirklich weiter und konnte auch kein zielführenden Beitrag zu dem oben genannte Thema finden. Ziel ist es nun die Eingaben mit diesem Tool auszulesen und in ein XML-File zu schreiben.Ich habe einige freie DLL´s ausprobiert, nur liefern diese immer nur die "Festen"-Werte und nicht die Dynamischen.Weiß einer wie ich gerade die dynamischen Felder auslesen kann? I am working on a pdf form of a service report for my team.  All is going well and I am now looking at using some java script to assist me with its operation.On the form are areas for labour, travel and parts costs.  Here’s where it gets a little more complicated:Currently the form auto calculates the values of labour and travel depending on the number of hours selected from a dropdown box multiplied with a predetermined rate (labour or travel). This is fine for a customer who has no service contract.We have three variables: A customer has no contract in which case the above works perfectly.A customer may have a ‘full contract’ in which case they do not pay for any parts, labour or travel. So I need the total boxes to read 0 or ideally “Contract”.A customer may have a ‘support contract’ in which case they do not pay for any labour or travel. So I need the labour and travel total to read “Contract” but any parts prices to still be applicable.I am new to the java script world a

Hello,I have both versions of 11 and DC... With 11 I was able to run Tools/Pages/Split using "Use top bookmarks as filename" and it was working excelent selecting all the PDF files in a folder... today I tried to do the same process using My DC I noticed I am only limited to a single file to split!  Paying subscription means that we should lose functionlity also?!! why?Regards,Jeff P.

Hi,I have a few text string paragraph in a pdf file, I need to put a button for each paragraph so operator by selecting/highlighting that paragraph and clicking the related button I need to copy that string into clipboard so it can be pasted into another area in another application.I am using following JavaScript on Mouse Up/On Focus:app.execMenuItem("SelectAll");app.execMenuItem("Copy");but it does not copy into clipboard... what am I doing wrong?Regards,Jeff P.

Using Adobe Acrobat Pro,Ok so most things i've been able to figure out myself, including how to name a page etc. This i can not seem to be able to figure out how to do if it's even possible to do...I have created 2 pages that are templates, 1 is a calculator, the other is sales... i would like to be able to get it that when the page spawns from a button that it will spawn with the name of the actually page. so when you click on calculator it will spawn a page with the name calculator, and when it's sales it will say sales... There will only be 1 page of each so there will never be multiply pages of the same thing. The document is limited to 3 pages between the buttons that spawn pages.With i also want to be able to have it that when someone pushes down with mouse on a checkmark that the page for example with the name sales will be deleted automatically. i can't do it by page numbers because sometimes there's only 2 pages, sometimes there's 3 and it depends on the spawn order to with on

Three months in, you get the average for January, February and March; April, May and June would not be included in the average since there are no values in those fields.The calculations work out pretty well until I try averaging the TOTAL EXPENSES during that same period; for example, the AVERAGE TOTAL January expenses, February expenses and March. I am trying to make a script where once a checkbox is clicked, it take information from two field, then each populates to it's designated area. And if the checkbox is unchecked, it removes that information. So far, I have a script that can take information from one field to another. I am having issues with one of my scripts. I have a sequence where I check a box and information from one field goes to another. This scripts does exactly that. But when I unchecked the box, it's supposed to remove the information from the field that was populated. When I do this, I get an error saying "The value entered does not match the format of the field ("main house")", which is the name of the field. Both these fields are formatted into numbers. The only way I can fix this is formatting it to a non-number. I don't get it because it populates just fine when they are formatted to numbers. Only when unchecked to remove the info it does this. Is there anyway to fix the javascript where it will work when the field is formatted to a number? I have a very large form where I have set the border color to red on multiple fields because they are important to check but may not be required. We're talking 100+ Fields some unique and some duplicated. Now that I have finished making the form I am trying to determine the best way to make the red borders show up for users filling in the forms but not print when they print the forms. How do I set up the check-boxes to auto-populate fields when checked, then remove the info from the field when unchecked. I am a complete beginner when it comes to javascript. This is what I have soo far based on looking at online forums.Basically the checkbox represents a product. If the person is interested in choosing this product, I want them to click the checkbox so that info goes to the next page for the final form. Hi,I am currently working on a large form, with a lot of images. Like, A LOT of images (200 give or take). In the form, these image's states of visibility are  changed by a different checkbox with a bit of javascript, and either the images are "hidden" or "hidden but printable". However, when I reset the form,  the images visibility's are not reset. This leaves the whole form so that the checkbox's states and the images visibility's aren't aligned anymore (IE a box will become unchecked after a reset, but because the code on the checkbox doesn't run, the image doesn't switch its state of visibility).I am trying to figure out a fast way to reset all of the image visibility's to "hidden but printable" once the reset button is hit. I am not able to put every name of every image into an array, because of sheer volume (I have several different forms like this.)Does anybody have any ideas?(I have had a few ideas on how to do this but don't know how to execute them)- Attach the same

I'm an intern working on a program that uses the OpenXml SDK to modify some info in a word doc and then convert it to PDF using interop. Unfortunately I am unable to programmatically password-protect the PDF or change any of the security settings with interop. I'm looking for a way to do this that doesn't require me to release my source code or require my employer to pay for a software license. I've heard that I might need to write a plugin in C++ and then use unmanaged exports to call it in C#. Is this true? What are my options?

Alright internet. I have a recurring issue with a form that many users access. There are 2 date fields on this form, and they are surrounding what we will call "receipt of complaint". Date field 1 is "today's date" and is the day the form is filled out. Date field 2 is "date you became aware of complaint". The problem i am having is users are mixing the fields up, which creates the (impossible) scenario where we became aware of the complaint after the form was completed. Not feasible, right?I need "Date Field 1 - today's date" to be 'equal to or greater than' "Date field 2 - date you became aware"Hope this makes sense - would be a huge win for me if i can create a systematic way to drive this. Hi all,I need a script that will run a save as function allowing it to auto name the file from certain field names. I know this would have to be a folder level script, but I wanted to know if it is possible to have a dialogue box come up for the save allowing you to navigate to the folder you want to save as (the folder location won't always be the same)Is this then executed using a button?

completely new at this, and although I am reading the JS Developers guide, I will not have enough time to complete this project without some help.there is a Group named Contract Type with 5 Radio Button choices on page 1. When one of these Radio Buttons is selected, it would need to auto check a number of Check boxes on page 2. Each CB has it's own unique name. Using X Pro.IE: RB1 - Check CB1, CB2, CB4      RB2 - Check CB2, CB3, CB4, CB5      RB3 - Check CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4, CB5etc.Can someone help with the code?

Is it possible to export the OCR in a PDF into an XML file? I've tried using File - Save As - XML (with various settings), but that doesn't save the OCR'd text.With Content Editing - Export, there is no XML option.OCR seems to be output with every other file type, except for XML.I've also tried saving as a Word document, and then saving the resulting Word doco as XML. But that doesn't work either as it seems to turn images into XML. I just want the OCR'd text.I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.

Hello,I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to create numerous PDF forms for my company. A good majority of my work day involves working with Acrobat. After upgrading to DC recently, my tab order NEVER stays put. I'll spend 10 minutes arranging a section of fields, then as soon as I hit "Preview", the order is completely screwed up. Returning to the Edit screen shows the order in shambles again. So I spend another 10 minutes re-arranging the same section, and hit Preview again. The order has scattered once again. It usually takes 3 or 4 tries of doing this until the tab order is "locked" in place and results in me wasting an ungodly amount of time.I do have my tab order set to Manual and have unchecked the "Automatically adjust tab order when modifying fields" box in preferences. This has done absolutely nothing.Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I am incredibly sick of dragging fields around when my time could spend elsewhere.Thank you!!
