Hi,One of my users is trying to import an action wizard in Adobe Acrobat XI which was developed in Adobe Acrobat X.  She gets an error which essentially states that the action wizard cannot be imported b/c it has the same name as one that already exists (see below).  This is not true though b/c when one goes to the action wizard tab, there is no action wizard named the same as the one she is trying to import (2.1_BLA).  I was able to resolve this by renaming the sequence file so she could import it but I would like a permanent solution to this just in case other users experience this same issue.  Any ideas what is happening and how to permanently correct this?Sue

What I want to do is create a form that is fillable from a Delimited text file. I already have all of that set up and working. I however want to make it simpler for my colleagues who aren't as savvy by allowing them to click a button embedded in the PDF that will automatically point to the delimited file and just launch the "import data from delimited text file" box so that they can just choose what they need. I am not great with writing javascript, does anyone have a basic idea if this is doable and what script would be needed to call the file?Thanks in advance.

I am trying to have a  drop down menu resize based on the selection chosen.  I am able to resize it, but the text in the box does not refresh when the box is resized.  If I choose the same option twice, the text looks normal, but on first choice, the text is misshapen.  It also looks different when I mark the form as read only as well. HelloI wonder that creating pdf documents with metada which is taken from MS SQL database (or plain text,xml etc.) is possible or not.I have some images in file system and information about these image in database. I want to use acrobat (or any application,sdk etc) to convert these images to pdf documents with related information in metadata.Thank you all for your helps.

Hi, I’m a University lecturer and I am adapting a pre-existing marking template for a student assignment that has a number of correct statements associated with checked boxes (Check Box1, Check Box2, Check Box3, Check Box4, Check Box5 & Check Box6). So for example, if a student has a correct statement in their assignment then one mark is awarded. What I’m hoping to do is create a text field (Question_1_Sum) that counts the number of checked boxes that have been ticked. I’m sure it sounds easy but unfortunately I’m not a programmer. Would someone be able to assist?  Thanks

I am trying to use the accessibility features of the Adobe Acrobat SDK.  I have obtained the following document: PDF Accessibility API Reference, Adobe® Acrobat® DC SDK, May 2015. However, these routines do not appear in the Adobe Acrobat SDK header files, so I am unable to use them in my plug-in.  Is there another header and/or library that I need to download?  I have not been able to find such after extensive searching.

I have a pdf that has 2 form fields that work fine. Then we have to merge them with a file from another vendor. When I do this, the properties go a little haywire. The copy is still in the form field, but the the font color is white. When I open the properties, it says it's set to black, but if I click the color palette and choose black again, then the color shows. There are over 1,000 pdfs that get merged on the fly. We don't want to open every pdf and do this change each month.  Is there any way to set up a batch process or watched folder or something I'm not aware of using javascript that would automatically reselect the black font color for the entire 1,000+ files? Ok, I've tried figuring this out so now I'm asking the experts.Is there a way to pull information from a digital certificate and input that information into a text field?When I look into the certificate viewer in the Details tab, I see the data I want.  It's included with other information...here's how it looks:Name = SubjectValue = cn=lastname.firstname.middlename.1234567890I want to pull the '1234567890' and input it into a text field.  I'm trying to eliminate the user from filling in the information. We are CONSTANTLY having to look up the information because they typed it in wrong.Is this possible?Thanks,Brian

In an Acrobat PDF form, I can assign an OnFocusEvent to show some other field if a user pushes on a button in form.I simply add it to button properties>action>on focus>run a jsthe Javascript event used is as in following:this.getField("point.2").display = (event.target.value=="Off") ? display.hidden : display.visible;But, is it possible to assign an event for a second click for showing some other fields?

This doesn't necessarily pertain to Adobe specifically, but more pdf/browser compatibility; I figured this forum would have more knowledge of pdfs than chrome. I have pdfs that have file attachments to other pdfs in the file. When I open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader or equivalent the links work fine, but if it's opened in the browser (which is the typical default setting) the links aren't there. This is inconvenient when sending to other people who do not have Acrobat. I was wondering if there was any way to open these in the browser and enable the attachment links? Any way to make browser pdf reader more than just "view-only"? I know Acrobat is no longer supported by most browsers since NPAPI add-ons became obsolete, but is there any alternative? There has got to be SOME way, I know technology is far too advanced for there not to be. If anyone knows of anything, whether it be "safe" or not, I would be glad to hear it. Hi,I'm using Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Release.  I created a text field (using this.addField) then I attempted to rotate the text using the rotation property.  I've tried rotations of 90,  180, and 270, but the text never rotates.  If I bring up the properties dialog for the text field, which has a "Orientation" pulldown menu under the General tab, I can easily rotate the text by 90, 180, and 270 degrees.I know that the text box doesn't rotate, I only want to rotate the text inside of the text box.  I've tried this with two different text boxes in my program but I can never get the text to rotate.  When I look at the text box properties dialog, specifically the "Orientation" pulldown, it never reflects what my program is attempting to do -- it always stays at 0 degrees.With any text field and as you know, there are numerous text properties one can set -- textFont, textColor, textSize, readonly, value, etc.  Is there some requirement whereby the rotation pro

Hi,I am trying to create in an interactive form (via Acrobat DC). I would like to employ a mouse on click event to some text (simply to select "AD" and "BC" for a date), on which I intend if user clicks on, then the text will be bold for instance.  Is there a way to do it without using check box? (ps., I used basic toggle button for instance to test, visually it's okay. BUT when I export "form data" the selection of the button is not exported).Please see the image I intend to create:

Acrobat DC keeps crashing my computer. It takes forever to load to see comments and then if I leave Acrobat open, I eventually get the spinning rainbow of death and have to force restart my Mac. Tried to uninstall and reinstall and still happening. This is not an issue on my MacBook, but having problems with it on my iMac. Help please, because I use Acrobat constantly for my business.

How to tag text fields and radio button in acrobat?

On this forum, I've searched but I can't locate the exact solution to my problem.I'm creating my form in AcrobatDC. Using three Radio buttons: "Radio1", "Radio2", "Radio3", I want to make various text fields Required, depending on which Radio is selected. Some text fields will be required for all Radio selections, some will be required for only a single Radio selection. How do I make each radio button trigger different sets of required fields independent of each other? Example:1. "Radio1" selected; makes text fields "Text1", "Text2" "Text3", and "Text4" required.2. "Radio2" selected; makes text fields "Text1", "Text2", "Text 5"  and "Tex6" required.3. How do I set a formula to always round up to a whole number?I am not sure if this is the right place but I am creating a fillable PDF that uses a lot of formulas. This specific formula needs to always round up to the next whole number. For example, if the formula comes back as 14.01 it would still need to round up to 15. Does anyone know if I need to do a custom validation script for this? Or how to do that? Thank you!!!

Trying to auto fill the authority name that needs to sign when one or more dropdown has the appropriate selection. I have an adobe form that needs to be signed off by the employee, manager, divisional head and HR and should all be mandatory fields. My problem is that I am unable to make these mandatory for each separate person as they use the form and then submit it to the next person. i.e. employee fills out the forms and is required to sign their name and date (mandatory) before submitting this to their manager, when the manager received the form they are required to sign their name and date (mandatory) before submitting this to the divisional head?

I have the following in a folder level script in a privileged context:this.exportAsFDF({aFields: ["txtTP.Agent.Broker", "txtTP.Agent.BrokerFullName", "txtTP.Agent.Address", "txtTP.Agent.City", "txtTP.Agent.State", "txtTP.Agent.Zip", "txtTP.Agent.BrokerNo"], cPath: "" + parentPath + agentsFolder + fdfbroker});This works as intended EXCEPT that it is exporting values from several other fields ( examples: "txtTP.Agent.FirstName", "txtTP.Agent.LastName") that are not included in the intended array. These other fields do have the same non-terminal parent "txtTP.Agent" but my understanding is that the array should limit the export to only the named fields. I can work-around this by first resetting the excluded fields, but that shouldn't be necessary. I cannot see that a parameter is missing whose absence is causing these other fields to be included, and would appreciate any advice to correct this.Thank you.
