I'm creating a form that lists employee names and using a document level function that calls an variable array in a custom keystroke script in a combobox.The end goal is to auto populate the employee's supervisor if the event will commit. Both are comboboxes and both are set to allow the user to enter custom text. I wanted to provision for new hires whose name may not be in the combobox yet.The code works and I've been using it for years, however I want to create a condition that states if the event value does not equal the function, it resets the supervisor combobox. I wanted to do this in the event the employee looks for their name but can't find it and it ends up populating with someone else's name.How would I go about this? I have a bunch of bottle labels in .pdf format. Currently I am editing each individual label to place two fields on them. The fields are "MonthPrinted" and "YearPrinted." I'm trying to write a script which allows the user to click a button which will perform a calculation and fill in the "CompletedValue" field with the results. I made a custom dynamic stamp some time ago and want to downsize it because when I add it to a pdf file, it seems too large for that file. Can this be done, or do I have to completely start a new stamp?

I add comments with the text box tool to a pdf file. When I try to edit the comments the text box moves and resizes itself. How can I fix a text box to its place? This problem came with reader DC, I did not have this problem with the other versions.

I tried with builtin in number filed option but it's truncating the leading zeros, I need to make the field only accept maximum of 6 digits, should not truncate any other zeros. Please help

Can a template be created to add the same fillable fields to different PDFs?For example: I need to add specific fillable fields to a form for clients to fill out. The forms are the same, only the client information would change. I don't want to manually add the fillable fields to every client's form. I tried the auto fill feature but doing so selects spaces in the form that I don't want fillable. Any suggestions?

I work with quite a few layers (aka OCGs / optional content groups) in order to have multiple locales within the same document. I wrote a few scripts that help to lock layers (so they cannot be made visible from within the UI), and to show or hide layers (based on a pattern matching of their name). These functions basically loop through all layers and conditionally chage the locked, state or initState properties is this kind of way:this.getOCGs().locked = true;this.getOCGs().state = isVisible;this.getOCGs().initState = isVisible;Now, at about 40 to 50 layer property manipulations (no matter if the same layer or different layers), Acrobat simply crashes. These crashes were consistantly reproducable on any version since Acrobat X (Reader and Pro), both on Mac and Windows (whereas the Windows Version seems to allow a few more manipulations).Is there any known workarround? Hello,I have a booking form with some complicated calculations that requires 'if' and 'then' custom javascript.The form offers tickets at $350 per person, up to 16 people, with up to 4 additional tickets for $100 each. Basically I have three checkboxes and if any of them are checked then I want the box to show the border.  I'm still trying to type the code in the properties -> actions area since the "All javascript" part adds XML that I'm not exactly sure what its used for so I don't want to change it or create something without it...   Basically I'm typing the below code into the actions of each checkbox which seems redundant but I don't know any other way to do it.  The console is great when trying things out but what do I do when I want to send this PDF to someone?  other than actions where does the

I am using Adobe Pro XI. Needing a javascriptI am trying to get amount authorized.  I need to take the value is in field distance divide by 350.  Then take the whole number times it by the whole number.  Then the field distance value-350 to see if it is greater than or less than 50.  If it is equal to or less than 50 use the whole number if it is greater than 50 then use the whole number plus 1.  If the distance is 350 or less then would be 1.  I have no problem in excel doing it but I have not figure out how to get it all to work using the JAVAScripts.375/350=1.0711*350=350375-350=25is 25 > 50 =noreturned value would be 1751/350=2.1452*350=700751-350=51is 51> 50 = yes2 + 1 = 3Returned value would be 3.

I have an adobe form, that if the required forms aren't filled out it displays an app.alert saying error the following required forms are not filled out. So one can I make this big and I was hoping I could make it blink or make it produce sound? My guess would be no but I am just curious. Also this error loops through the form and produces the empty required fields in the error, Is there anyway to make the required fields that are being pulled into this app alert capital letters? I'm trying to make a pdf that when you check certain boxes a section of the doc will highlight.I thought the best way to go about it is to use the lineWidth of a text box.  Not sure if that IS the best way it was just a thought...But I want to border to be hidden first then when a checkbox is checked it will be visible.  if the box is unchecked it goes back to hidden.I've tried this in the checkbox action:var checkBox1 = getField("CheckBox1").value;var bord = getField("bordr1");bord.lineWidth = 0;if (checkBox1 = "Yes") {    bord.lineWidth = 3;}else {    bord.lineWidth = 0;}but it doesn't work.  couple questionsis there a way to just write code instead of putting it in actions?if not how can I hide the text box by default?  and still be able to display it later?

Hello fellows,2 days ago, we've received an automatic update of Acrobat DC and "upgraded" it to version 2015.006.30172.After doing so, the Shared Review wizard no longer allows to initiate a shared review on a dedicated network drive. When specifying the network folder path and clicking Next, the status changes to "Unable to create shared folder".Before the update, it worked fine.Has anyone encountered this issue?Thanks!Roman

I have thoroughly read many article on the access denied issue regarding disabling Protected Mode thru the preferences and thru the registry. Nothing seems to resolve our current issue.We embed an Adobe Reader object on a webpage. We give the user the option to navigate to a local pdf and load the file. When I change the .src thru javascript I get an Access Denied error. Tried opening permissions on the local folder, tried running as a system administrator. Hallo an alle . Ich hoffe ihr könnt mir helfen.Ich möchte gern Acrobat Javascript Pro DC dazu nutzen damit ich ein erstelltes Dokument nach einem String durchsuche. (z.B . RGNR) Diesen dann incl der folgenden Zeichen ( .z.b. RGNR0123456.pdf) dann mit saveas abspeichere . Also ein simples Beispiel habe ich gefunden um mit search.query einen String zu finden . Leider bekommt man kaum Infos zu diesem Problem zu lesen . Ich möchte das auffinden der Dokumente gern auf Dateiebene realsieren , da ein Sharpoint für diese Dokumentenanzahl denke ich übertrieben ist und auch Plattform unabhängig auffindbare Dateien einfacher zu verwalten wären . Hey folks I have a stack of PDFs to go through, some of which are 100-200 pages long, that have been compiled in the wrong order....   Is there an EASIER way to reorder pages in a PDF? It sure would be nice to be able to Copy and Paste pages from the Thumbnail View, or to be able to Right Click and "Make This Page # ___ " from a context menu Any suggestions?Cheers!  

I cannot mover the pages of the document about ! i have acrobat xi 11.0.15i used all the online tips, single sheet view, unlocked file  but i still cant simply grab a page and move it !please help ... i.e 11  windows 7 .. corprate network (citrix) but works on other work stations . We send out a fillable PDF form to initiate a permitting process in my office. Customers need to fill it out, and send it back to us. Once they send it back to us, there is still fields (Office Use Only fields) that we need to fill out and keep this as a living document that gets added to along the process.The problem - about 75% of the time people send the form back, the fields are no longer editable...and then we have to recreate the whole, multi-page document, on our own. We also use the fields for merging data into Excel and what not too, so this creates a huge nuisance with the volume of permits we process. I've tried PDF Unlockers / Change to Editable PDF webapps and have had no success. I'm guessing this is some kind of permission we need to set up on the original PDF? We essentially want to make it not possible for someone to save the file in a format that doesn't allow us to then continue editing it. Anyone know how some people save it this way, and others don't? Any guidence
