Please investigate these videos I believe they are AI generated:

Hi, this video and the others in the series, appear to be AI, but are not flagged as such.

What make me suspicious:
– in the above video, the ripples in the water make no sense
– all the videos in the series are almost identical in style
– some of the birds don’t appear to be a known species
– others have markings that are wrong
– the birds lack detail and not a feather is out of place
– the birds’ movements are very limited – strangely lifeless – and very similar across all videos.
– one video has a bird flapping one wing weirdly, then the other very briefly flaps yet its wing tip also remains where it was when the wing was folder. I paused the video to check.
– no audio on videos
– seem to be slow-mo (was just a couple of seconds generated, then slowed to last longer?)
– the species are from all different parts the globe – the user must travel a long way for each shoot!

It’s a case of uncanny valley.
Btw, I’m really familiar with European robins and how they look and move.

I’m not sure what you’re looking to achieve exactly.

Everything is impacted by AI to one degree or another. The technology is integrated into the tools used to create digital content as well as post-production tools used to enhance quality.

If it matters, you can verify AI percentages with an online detector like this one from Sightengine:

Hi Nancy,

I’d like this videos to be labelled as AI.

It does indeed matter – to buyers so they can avoid inaccurate generative AI depictions (if they wish to), and to other contributors, who get out there in the field with a camera to capture footage of real birds.

Presumably it matters to Adobe Stock too, hence the guidelines about the use of generative AI and the tick box.

When I first checked out the portfolio you mentioned, my initial thought was that those videos were actually plausible, so it would be best not to accuse anyone without solid evidence. But then I also noticed the ripples: they appear as if there’s a continuous, non-stop disturbance creating them.

I know this might sound like a bit of a stretch, but there is still a chance that the core footage was genuinely recorded (I mean the bird itself, not the ripples) and that the effect was just the result of heavy editing, chroma keying, and a looped background. In that case, even though they are artificial, they wouldn't technically be AI-generated.

On the other hand, take a look at the parrot video. File 2177363039 did leave me wondering, mainly because of the parrot's foot and the sudden color shift on its neck. In my opinion, that’s the strangest video of the bunch.

I’d rather have sent this complaint directly to Adobe, but posting on the forums seemed to be the only way to raise my concern. If there’s a less public way, do let me know.

That parrot’s toes are pretty weird, and differ between feet!

This file is the weird flapping bird: 2177392136
The left wing flaps a few times when the tip is still visible in its non-flapping position, down below the tail.

This all came about as I’m going to upload my own robin footage soon, and I was checking out what the standard was – these ones don’t look like any other footage. To me, all the birds just don’t like right.

If I’m wrong I would certainly apologise.

I just took a look at the weird flapping bird, and you're right, it’s even stranger than the parrot and looks exactly like an AI artifact.

The reason I tried to defend the contributor earlier is that Adobe’s investigation process is very strict, and a likely outcome in these cases is a permanent ban. Of course, it could be someone deliberately trying to game the system, but it could also just be a beginner who forgot to check the generative AI box.

As far as I know, this is the right forum to report these types of assets, and now I think your suspicions are correct.
