Poor Quality Vectors in Stock

Based on customer complaints in the Stock buyers forum, three things jump out again and again...

  1. Flattened raster images dropped inside EPS or AI vector files are unusable. 
  2. Poorly auto-traced GenAI sold as “editable vector files” are unusable. 
  3. GenAI artwork that is NOT LABELED as GenAI. 

It’s best to be honest with people about what you’re selling. Dishonesty never pays off.

 

Customer complaints lead to internal reviews and account deactivations. Once an account is deactivated, nobody here can help you.

    You're absolutely right, but ultimately it must be due to incredibly poor quality control.

    I think Stock Reviewers trust Contributors to use proper labels, titles & keywords.

    Stock rarely questions how the content is described until someone complains. Unfortunately, some Contributors are abusing that trust which makes it harder for everyone.

    Hilarious.
    For the past few years, you've been busy pushing contributors who actually create their work by hand, without AI, out of the stock library — through unjustified rejections, those ridiculous “similar” notices, a complete lack of support, and so on.

    Meanwhile, you've been flooded with billions of AI-generated garbage “artworks” and low-quality AI traces.
    And now you have a “customer compliance”.))))

    I haven't uploaded anything to your stock library for about a year now, and I suspect that quite a few other artists who actually draw by hand and value their work have done the same. In the end, good artworks will always find its customers.

    Doesn't it strike you as rather absurd that you reject work that was actually drawn by hand, while accepting the very stuff you're complaining about here?

    Well, you got exactly what you were asking for in the end.

      • I’m an Adobe product user and unpaid forum volunteer.
      • This is a user-to-user Contributor forum.
      • Adobe doesn’t visit this space. 
      • If your work isn’t getting accepted by reviewers, that’s unrelated to customer complaints.

      That is simply not true.
      First of all, this is an official Adobe forum, where you have been a regular moderator for many years, often conveying Adobe’s official or near-official position here. What kind of arrangement you have with Adobe, and whether you do this work for pay or voluntarily, is your business. Although I find it rather unlikely that anyone in their right mind would spend years systematically doing this, frankly rather monotonous, moderation work for free — and you don't strike me as an idiot.

      Second, if we look through the previous posts, we can find both threads started by Adobe employees and individual posts from “marked” representatives of the company. So the statement “Adobe doesn’t visit this space” is simply not true.

      But putting that aside. You raised a problem, and I gave you an answer - this problem arose because your “best” and “most professional” moderation team had no problem accepting millions of low-quality, AI-generated artworks — outright garbage that is now “decorating” your database. This is a direct consequence of Adobe’s policies, which you personally defended so diligently some time ago.

      And yes, it is funny.
