Hey, first time user here. I've been experiementing with MidJourney after getting a subscription, and thought about generating some nice backgrounds, etc.. too add on here. I uploaded this picture. I also checked for artefacts and so on, but got the error. Maybe it was over-edited or grainy, but I'm not sure.

Upscaling is an absolute no go!

But when you submit, you should check also for inconsistencies like here:

AI is infamous for detail blunders.  Much of this image doesn't make sense. For example, look at the parked cars, signage and building geometry.

Aside from the detail blunders, image quality is not suitable for commercial use.  Did you pay extra for Midjourney's high-resolution diffusion (aka upscales)?

As I understand it, you failed to upload. In this case, it's because the resolution of your photo doesn't reach the minimum amount of Megapixels, if the image is really 1568x896, that's your problem. This does not mean that the errors pointed out here do not lead to it being disapproved after analysis.

They're getting fussier about what images they accept imo due to the flood of AI images getting submitted, or you ran into an overly critical reviewer. I've recently had images submitted and rejected for "quality issues" but I suspect there's nothing wrong with them because in the past similar photos have got through with no problems.

Also i've noticed adobe will at times cherry pick some of your AI images and review them faster than your other AI images in the que even if you uploaded them days after. Why they do this i'm not sure but .. they definately do not review everything strictly in the order that it is submitted because this has happened to me about 3 or 4 times.

anyways, I've cancelled my midjourney subscription and won't be making anymore new AI images. I've over 50 currently uploaded, about 20 qued and only 1 download. So I decided to do some proper research on how profitable stock photography really is and the average ROI is $0.02 per image. So around 50 images to generate a $1 a month income. Now when you consider you need to pay for a midjourney subscription etc..,  brainstorm images, -re-roll images, write tags, inlarge, write property releases etc ...it's just not worth it.

Those youtube videos where you see people uploading like 100 AI photos and making like $80 are outliners.. who got thier images up early before AI images was widespread. You won't be seeing anyone make $80 today with 100 AI images..

the amount of users making AI images over the least month has increased about 5% daily compounded (I was keeping daily tabs on the amount of people in the bluewillow discord room since the midjourney room does not show how many people are in there..

with ever increasing competiton and poor ROI projections this is no longer worth my time and energy..

Indeed, it appears that Moderators have either received more training or have become more experienced at reviewing AI images. It's easy to find some very flawed images in the database that were accepted early on. We've seen quite a few complaints from Buyers posting here who are angry about having to sift through so many low quality images to find what they need.

The Generative AI Stock image game right now feels like the Gold Rush in 1849 - everyone flocked to the gold fields to make a fortune, but mainly only the shopkeepers who outfitted them made money...

I got the quality issues message when uploading my photo. Don't know what might be wrong with it. Tried removing grain/noise and upscaling to right resolution, but nothing.

Thank you, I'll try get more used to retouching and look into details. Now, does Adobe care if the picture is in pixels, like should I save it in Illustrator, or is Photoshop fine?
