Well I just uploaded some pictures from my holiday, that's it. I would like to learn to create nice photographs. But I didn't know the purpose of stock, so no intention with the flower.
Taking photos for stock is not about taking photos. It's about commercial value; it's not about pictures of flowers, sunsets, and landscapes, but more about pictures that can be used in a commercial setting - generally speaking!!
Thankyou very much! I really appreciate this feedback since I had no clue. Do you know what platforms give me the opportunity to sell nature, wildlife and landscape pictures? Thanks.
The section "What are Customers Looking For" should be a guide as to what types of images you might want to submit. Nature, wildlife and landscape images do sell on Adobe Stock, but you should take a look at the competition in the categories you're submitting before deciding how much energy to invest in editing and submitting those. Certain categories are completely over-saturated already, including sunrises, sunsets, flowers, and pets.
In addition to the issues noted by @RALPH_L and @Kev Bell LRPS29410079 the overall composition is not pleasing. There are more than 205,000 photos of water lily images in the Adobe Stock database already, so the competition is stiff. Take a look at some of those images to get a better idea of the expected level of quality.
Thanks! As mentioned to the other comment I'm completely new with all this. The picture was also taken with a phone. Ordered the Nikon Z50 with 2 lenses and hope to improve my pics.
Additionally to Ralph Lear's comments: there are several areas of glare (too bright) on the lily leaves which distract from the flower (this could also be regarded as a quality issue).
The file is not focused well, the white balance is too warm (blue), the blue outlines look unnatural and the blue square on the right side should be removed.
Thankyou so much for the feedback! Completely new to the scene. All pics are with my iPhone 12 Pro. But now I ordered the Nikon Z50 with 2 different lenses. Would like to take photographing to a new level. Hopefully I'll improve the pics in the future.
