Vector Quality Has Significantly Declined
I have been using Adobe Stock for vector graphics for many years, but over the last months I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of many vector assets.
More and more often I download files that appear perfectly fine in the preview, only to discover after opening them in Illustrator that they are poorly constructed. Typical issues include unnecessary anchor points, messy paths, overlapping objects, poorly drawn curves, and vectors that require extensive cleanup before they can actually be used.
What is even more frustrating is that some of these files look very much like AI-generated vectors, yet they are not labeled as AI-generated content. As a customer, I expect to know whether an asset has been created by a human or generated with AI, especially when the resulting vector file does not meet the quality standards that Adobe Stock was known for.
Downloading an asset only to find out afterwards that it is unusable is a waste of time and credits. The preview image often does not reveal these problems, so there is no way to judge the actual quality before downloading.
I have attached two example files that illustrate the issue. I hope Adobe will strengthen its quality control for vector submissions and ensure that AI-generated content is correctly identified and meets the same technical standards as traditionally created vector artwork.
Has anyone else experienced the same decline in vector quality recently?
