Cross-Product Creative Challenge #4: Awesome Travel Poster

How to Particiate:

Generate a starter image (or a vector in Illustrator) for your creation, using Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, or text-to-vector in Illustrator. This is only the start!

Expand the image into a finished product of your choice using at least one other app from Creative Cloud and/or Substance 3D. The point of the challenge is to work across apps.

Save an image, screenshot, or video clip of your final artwork, post it as a reply to this post, and describe your process and which tools you used.

The Challenge:

Pick an adventurous or relaxing travel location. It doesn't have to be on Earth; anywhere in the Universe is fine, as NASA’s famous exoplanet posters make clear!

Use Firefly, Illustrator, Adobe Express, or Photoshop to generate a beginning scene for your poster.

Expand it to poster size and add in people or things to fill out the attraction.

Add text with a great slogan!

The image was created in Firefly and then moved into Photoshop where I made some minor adjustments and added the type. The prompt was a space age resort on mars with a view of the moon and a swimming pool, add two aliens holding hands. Marzlea space retreat.

Great stuff! Firefly clearly didn't do physics in school, but the luxury resort vibe is great and that's great typography for the theme.

I like that: a genuine vacation cruise to gnarly, vaguely Middle-Earth tourist spots!

I was gonna pass this challenge up but decided to work with what I've got- the background image was created in firfly and the reast was done in photoshop. Zulium is a spage-age resort.

I approached this challenge with an idealized version and an alternative universe to find love! I knew I wanted to incorporate pink, love, and an old but futuristic approach to traveling to Venus with the title called: Worldwind Love on Venus. It is like a glimpse into an advertisement of a dystopian future where people have trouble finding love because they are too focused on themselves! I hope you guys enjoy it. It could be a concept for a good movie if done right!

Hello Everyone!!
Below is my creation and thought process. Hope you all like it and I welcome any feedback 🙂

Thought Process

For this project, we were assigned the theme “Travel Beyond Borders” with an emphasis on relaxation. I asked myself: What would it take to feel so relaxed that it feels truly out of this world?

When I thought about what stops me from relaxing, the answer was clear it's the chaos of life. The noise of the world, the constant competition to make a name for myself, and the pressure to meet expectations while chasing the life I dream of. All of this creates mental noise that’s hard to escape.

To truly shut it all down, I imagined leaving this world behind entirely escaping to a place that is unknown, vast, and awe-inspiring. To me, that place is space. It represents silence, mystery, and infinite discovery. A place where my mind could drift freely, without being weighed down by the demands of the world. In this concept, space becomes more than just a setting it becomes the ultimate sanctuary for relaxation.

I generated the background image in Adobe Firefly using the prompt: "Romantic 3D Eiffel Tower Paris, France." I then imported the image into Adobe Express and used a template along with text effects to design the rest.

For this travel poster, I used Adobe Firefly to generate a scene of the Florida Everglades. I then brought that into Photoshop and used the Neural Filter "Super Zoom" to increase the quality, and then used "Select & Mask" to duplicate a layer of just the alligator and add a gradient inbetween the two layers. Next I added some text in the scene, and used "National Forrest Regular" which is the typeface the U.S. National Parks Service uses, as well as "Paniscobe" since it's condensed yet also bold and I wanted to fill as much of the vertical space as possible. Thanks, had a blast working on this poster design! -Colby
