Cross-Product Creative Challenge #4: Awesome Travel Poster

  • May 15, 2025

How to Particiate:

Generate a starter image (or a vector in Illustrator) for your creation, using Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, or text-to-vector in Illustrator. This is only the start!

Expand the image into a finished product of your choice using at least one other app from Creative Cloud and/or Substance 3D. The point of the challenge is to work across apps.

Save an image, screenshot, or video clip of your final artwork, post it as a reply to this post, and describe your process and which tools you used.

The Challenge:

Pick an adventurous or relaxing travel location. It doesn't have to be on Earth; anywhere in the Universe is fine, as NASA’s famous exoplanet posters make clear!

Use Firefly, Illustrator, Adobe Express, or Photoshop to generate a beginning scene for your poster.

Expand it to poster size and add in people or things to fill out the attraction.

Add text with a great slogan!

To create my travel poster, I asked Adobe Illustator to create a vector image of "a bendy river with a forest and vineyards." Then, I brought the design it generated into Adobe Express and layered the text with the font I chose as well as generating the hand with the glass of wine as it is important to the culture of the town.

Great stuff, Piper! I think you're the first person so far who started from a text-to-vector prompt in Illustrator. Good call, because it has the perfect style for your treatment.

I generated an image using text to vector in Firefly - then opened in Illustrator to add background details and font.  I had fun - good creative challenge!

What a great take on the challenge theme! I can see this on the untravel agent's office wall. 😹

I wanted to create something fun so I used Adobe Firefly and included the aurora borealis.

The jungle of dreams. Created in firefly. A before and after shot. Taken from firefly and used camera raw in photoshop, then created the font in illustrator, added it all in indesign, then a quick export.
I will be sampling this at A1 on my canon Colorado printer to see if the quality of firefly is good enough to print with no pixelation. Then there could be a market for it. If it works, I will use the flx technology where it can print Matt and gloss in one pass.

I created this in Adobe Firefly, took it into Photoshop for color adjustments and to apply some texture. Finished off in Illustrator to create text.

The inherent dangers of ocean travel.

Poster - txt to vector illustrator, stock images, firefly cat and chair and table and foreground ship.

The island is of course Vulcania

I started out in Firefly, generating the image. Then took the image to Photoshop, expanded to fit the A4 size, adjusted colors, added grain and text. Then opened the poster designs in Express to add a paper texture. For the names of the planets and galaxies I used an online name generator.
FF came up with a lot of nice images, it was hard to choose so decided to make 2 posters 🙂

They're both terrific. I can see why you'd have a hard time choosing, and I'm glad you decided to post both of them. Some 24th Century travel agent would definitely have these on display!
