Cross-Product Creative Challenge #5: The Future of HR!

Imagine a mega-corporation of the future, where all the boring work is done by robots. HR is now RR: “Robotic Resources.” Humans have flipped the script, and now the bots must apply for jobs, like our robot friend here.

Use your imagination. What does the robot hiring process look like? Build out your scene using at least Firefly and Photoshop or Photoshop for Web.

Remember: This is the Cross-Product Challenge. One app is not enough, and one image from a prompt is definitely not enough! You don’t have to be an expert! This is for anyone at any skill level. The main thing is to have fun and let your imagination run free.

Surrounding the robot: a crowd of happy, sleek humans in sharp business suits, smiling and chatting, exuding confidence and success. The humans stand tall and radiant, while the robot appears isolated and out of place. Muted vintage colors with neon accents, halftone dots, bold outlines, and slight paper creases.

Process: Using Generative Fill, I removed the broken text and background that Firefly generated. Using Photoshop, I added the text "Black Mirror" and "Robotic Resources".

Using Firefly I used these two images to show the irony of current and future trends in company hiring, where they will have a section that require applicants to "confirm that they are not a robot" through verifications, captcha challenges, and facial recognition, however many of these companies also turn around an use AI bot to check applications.

Prompt :A highly detailed, photorealistic scene set in a futuristic corporate office. Several humanoid robots sit evenly spaced around a sleek semi-circular glass table. The flat edge of the table faces forward, and about 1 meter away stands another humanoid robot, parallel to the flat edge. This standing robot raises its right hand slightly, palm open, as if confidently explaining or presenting something to the seated robots. All robots have human-like forms with metallic bodies, smooth chrome exteriors, glowing blue eyes, and fine panel lines with illuminated joints. prompt: Stressed out robot doing paperwork

reasoning: When reading the assignment, I figured that I should show a robot doing the boring, mundane tasks that we humans have to do. Somewhere in this universe, it's human counterpart is drawing a "prompt" by hand.

Thanks for the positive feedback. And sure, I'd love to. I generated the setting and the newer model robot in Firefly seperately (The older model was generated in Google Image FX) and put them all together in Photoshop, made that "A charged robot is a productive robot" text. Generated the happy robot and lightning icons within PS as well as the cane on the "old" robot (lol at how great it turned out for typing a sentence). And I just thought it was funny to spin the ageism/modelism and coffee/high mileage oil thing. A few adjustment layers to make the older robot look older and the newer robot look more new as well as part of the environment (corporation). And of course I ran it through Camera Raw because I'm not lazy lol. I would like to note that the only reason I didn't get that standard white robot frequently seen here is because I specified settings such as "futuristic" and "neon colors" etc. in effects and I feel like people don't know how much of a difference those settings make.

Started in Firefly generating a robot with pots and pans... a glum job.
Brought this nto Photoshop and seperated the subject from the background.
Imported that into After Effects and added camera work, music, and effects... weeeeeeeeee!
Sad robot worker 😞
