Cross-Product Creative Challenge #5: The Future of HR!

Imagine a mega-corporation of the future, where all the boring work is done by robots. HR is now RR: “Robotic Resources.” Humans have flipped the script, and now the bots must apply for jobs, like our robot friend here.

Use your imagination. What does the robot hiring process look like? Build out your scene using at least Firefly and Photoshop or Photoshop for Web.

Remember: This is the Cross-Product Challenge. One app is not enough, and one image from a prompt is definitely not enough! You don’t have to be an expert! This is for anyone at any skill level. The main thing is to have fun and let your imagination run free.

First image with Firefly:
A futuristic digital painting showcases a high-tech corporate office where humanoid robots handle all tasks, bathed in cool blue lighting reflected by digital screens and glowing body accents. Amid a sea of sleek robots working in rows at their terminals, one robot is prominently featured, typing with precision, while a glowing blue "RR: Robotic Resource" sign and interactive digital displays.

The sign wasn't added well in Firefly. I added the text signs in Photsohop. Used generative fill and some other effects to touch up the image.

Nice one, Dean. A person could definitely get the blues looking at it! The signs are very well done. They fit the style perfectly.

I had a steam-punk vision of the future of HR. I can understand that robots are trained to take the best choices without any feeling but it is really frighetning so, I gave her/him a heart. To increase their humanity, there is a library because there is a huge importance to understand how human began to pass on their knowledge, before IT, internet,... Knowledge will be very important because jobs ae going to be quicly disrupted. They will be guides for employees.

What tools did you use to get to the final result? We're always interested in the process!

 Alan, yes the process!
So, first, I did the scene on Firefly with the following prompt : "A steam-punk robot works on his computer in an office with a large bay window opening onto the outside world in a steam-punk retro future.".

I chose the artwork that fits the best my thoughts concening the robot and the interior.
Then, I used some Adobe stock assets: the steam-punk heart, the amazing young human who speaks to the robot via the laptop and the outside. I manage colors on Photoshop to fit the Firefly asset.
Then, I went on Photoshop and and I had a great time with the window panes, I really found the selection of the small window panes easier with the June update - and this selection became a mask for the exterior asset.
I used the  transformation of a smart object rectangle (in which I put the young woman) for the laptop screen and I just add some shadows under the heart on the table.

In fact, I was mainly wondering why we might end up recruiting robots rather than “buying” them. That would mean that they're capable of evolving on their own, and that if they've been programmed that way, it's because there would be very few humans left and there's an urgent need to save those who are still around.

Aimed to make a robot private chef. The idea was to make the robot in a futuristic, rundown diner with lots of kitchen and cooking supplies around. I'm imagining in the future we might have robots producing fast food at an even faster and more accurate pace.

Fun concept, if a bit off topic, but it looks like you wrote a prompt for Firefly and left it at that. The point of this challenge is to work across products. Start in Firefly (or Express), but then use other tools to expand and enhance the result.

This would be in an office building somewhere in a future downtown Yerevan, I suppose!

Yes, GenFill can be stubborn as a goat while being a lot less smart. Sometimes you can work around it by opening a new, blank document and trying again. If you get what you want, you can composite it into the original scene. The poster image I made for this thread has multiple composited items along with GenFill (penguin, mouse, eraser at the end of the pencil) and GenExpand. There are no restrictions. That's the point!

In a dark , futuristic HR office, a central robot conducts an interview with another robot amidst holographic displays and robotic onboarding stations. The scene depicts a fully automated hiring system run by robots for robots.

That's a good start. Now do the rest of the cross-product challenge by filling out the scene and the story in Photoshop or Adobe Express or bring in elements created in Illustrator or Fresco. We want to see how creative you can be!

Hey, Sarah! Nice start. Now have fun with the rest of the challenge. Like it says at the top: "Remember: This is the Cross-Product Challenge. One app is not enough, and one image from a prompt is definitely not enough!" 😸
