Question

New UI is horrible

Title: Please Restore Full-Size Image Preview in Generation History

The new Adobe Firefly interface is a major downgrade in usability.

Previously, I could browse my Generation History, click an image, and view it at full size. Now, clicking an image opens it in edit mode. I cannot simply inspect my own creations at full resolution without downloading them first.

This is an unnecessarily frustrating workflow for users who generate large numbers of images. I want to browse my work, compare results, and find favorites without being forced into an editing workspace.

The new all-in-one interface has made a basic task much more difficult. Boards also does not work properly in Firefox, forcing me to switch to Chrome.

Please restore a simple full-size image preview in Generation History, with separate options to View Image and Edit Image. Users should also have the option to use the previous, simpler workflow.

Combining tools into one workspace should not mean removing basic functionality or making everyday tasks harder. Please listen to the users who actually use Firefly regularly and give us back a fast, straightforward way to browse our images.

Once I hit submit on a new image it deletes all my references so I have to start over. I like to keep my 6 references open and hit submit a number of times to get the output I want.

in the new interface i have to scroll through months of generation just to be able to reload (reuse setting ) of that generation, this takes almost half an hour. Especially because every generation needs to be loaded up separately because you added a preview in the thumbnail. And you have to load so many that at some point the website crashes and you have to start all over again. Also there is no search option in the generation history when using the new user interface. I have spent hours now and there is no possible way for me to have an old generation reloaded and ready to use.

Two days ago this was done with one click. Today it's impossible I have to do everything from the start write search for the media. Completely unacceptable I'm locked in for a year and paying over €150 per month.

This week alone I have the system lock me out of usage for almost 2 days with all these bugs in the software. Going to work through the night because it was only resolved at 1 AM.

  • First I got the I need to upgrade for usage while I'm paying for the premium subscription that took an entire day for it to resolve.
  • Then I got the speed eraser error message and was locked out of usage during working hours for 12 hours straight. I had to again work through the night to get all the work done that was supposed to be done that day. I only could sleep for two hours before returning back to work and present the work to the client I had to prepare at night. And mind you I am paying for this service I am paying for wasting my time nonstop. I'm constantly trying to troubleshoot your own mistakes, using up my credit just to test what's wrong with your system.
  • And now today you change the user interface and have basic features that are grounded in basic logic like clicking on a clip will just get you back to the clip generation screen. Now it's completely unusable and I have to constantly start from scratch with every generation because the generation history only loads the generation in the edits video screen and not in the generate video screen it's impossible to reuse something from a generation history.
  • FIX this soon as possible I made an other post earlier detailing what needs to be changed in order for it to work and it's just adding a few extra menu options in the drop-down menus.
  • Paying for a service that's constantly is working against you and being locked in for a year. In one week time you denied me access to what I'm paying for two days.

Exactly.Sometimes less is more when you're working on just generating and adjusting prompts, you don't need to have all this extra stuff on your screen. Also it eats up the RAM.

please stop replying to my posts because you don’t really read them. I never said I couldn’t find them, I am objecting to how they have changed.  I can find them, they are just not as usable as they were. Instead of clicking on an image in history to reuse it, it automatically puts me in edit mode.

Je préfère l’interface précédente ; la nouvelle me déplaît vraiment. Cela me fait réfléchir à la poursuite de mon abonnement.

I would agree having the option to choose previous interfaces would be great. As with every product things keep changing.

But basic features aren't accessible right now.  There is no possible way to open a previous generation by clicking on it in the generation history like it was before. Even when opening a generation in boards and then loading the generation it only gives you the prompt text and not of the reference images. We are taking three steps back here in usability.  And because you don't have access to the new use your interface when you use it on a mobile webapp it's completely impossible to open a previous generation because you always open it in the edit mode and you're just stuck there in the edit mode you don't have your text prompt you don't have your reference images you have nothing you always have to start from scratch.

I used to be able to go to generation history search for a previous generation I made for example months ago. - click on that generation and it opened up ready to regenerate again with the prompt text intact and all the reference images preloaded. -

To do that same thing right now I have to go to generation history click the drop-down menu on the previous generation I want to reopen and or regenerate copy paste the prom text in Preview. - then open the old interface paste in the prompt text reapply @ elements that were added in the text. - and then go search my hard drive for the image I had months ago when I generated this image/video.

Something that used to take less than 10 seconds now it takes me 30 minutes to an hour depending on if I can find the necessary reference images again.  How is that progress you took away something that didn't need to be taken away. I just simply don't understand it why can't I open my generation ready to go like I used to.

The new studio interface doesn't allow me to search the history so I have to scroll up thousands of clips to find some but because I have to scroll through thousands of clips there is a good chance that the webpage starts to crash and freeze.

Right now I'm looking through my generation history and I'm thinking oh let me regenerate this thing and then I realized what I have to do all the work I have to do just for something that used to take just a few seconds and it's so frustrating.

Our office is Downey productivity because of this we can't constantly have to start from scratch with every single thing we did.

Just fix it you don't have to even create something you just need to fix it fix how it used to be there wasn't any reason why this had to happen. I just can't believe why the new user interface called just exist next to the others.

Also your new user interface every time a generation is finished the entire thing scrolls upwards automatically for no reason at all I constantly have to scroll down every time a generation is done. Absolutely horrendous design

Hey @Go_Vango8061
The new interface is a bit confusing for certain.
To view our generation history, I have attached a short video.

Hey @Isa goz
In some ways, they have made finding our generation history easier. There is a short vid attached.

Well it is not easier like that.

  1. it loads slow
  2. if I do it that way I can not search the history, so have to scroll thousends of generations is not really productive.
  3. On the mobile app and web this is even not available. making it impossible to reuse any generation just because there is no menu action button for it at all (not anymore)
  4. when adding a generation to a project i can not select reuse settings on that file. I can only use it as an asset for reference image/video.

Actually the solution is would be quite simple but for some reason you took that away with this new interface for no apparent reason at all.

  1. add "reuse settings" option in dropdown menu of a clip when viewed inside generation history (the one that has a search bar in it)
  2. default open clip in the generation history to "reuse settings" Open up the selected clip inside the generate video/image (previous beta Studio) so it loads in there with all reference images startframe and prompt intact.
  3. add "reuse settings" to dropdown menu in project files folder .

Right now there is no way, not a single one on mobile to even reuse settings of a generation!

I challenge you to try and

  1. open generation history,
  2. search for a generation from in search bar
  3. and open that generation inside generation ui (previously studio) ready to hit generate with all refernces (image/video) settings and prompt intact.

his is just impossible right now
