Hi, I really have little understanding of this process. But, i have video downloaded that is not recognised in premiere pro. it is vp09, or something. when i am trying to use encoder to give me a usable version with no loss of quality, it creates a black video with perfect audio. i have tried tweaking all sorts of settings to match, but, no cigar. what am i doing wrong? it is a 25fps, 1920x1080p video. not sure if you all need more information? but, i will be studying this whole area further to gain understanding, going forward.
Just updated to Premiere and Encoder 2025. When rendering a video out using Media Encoder, the "2nd" pass never "seems" to complete. In other words, as you observe the progress of the rendering in the small window (and rendering timeline), visual progression seems to freeze or stop half way through the process.HOWEVER.... in looking at the location where the video was rendering to, the finished video did complete, and looks fine.Is this a BUG? the normal behavior previously allowed the 2nd rendering pass to be viewed, and the rendering amount of time would constantly update. I've done several videos, and the issue was same for both.
Is it possible to tell Media Encoder to add a file at the end of the current file being rendered?Basically, I want to render a dozen files, and attach a generic message to the end of each one.I batch process many MANY files and being able to add a generic info message to the end of each Product video would be mighty helpful. BTW - I am also looking for a way to ADD an audio file to a video that has NO audio. Again, I have many MANY video files that have no audio, and I want to add the same audio file to all of them in a batch. Thanks!
Hello, I am trying to render/export a 18288 x 57 animation for a stadium fascia board but I can not get the size to go past 16384.Is there a way to export this at the correct settings? Is it my computer that the problem?I was shown a file that was an H264/mp4 with the correct settings so it can be done. iMac Pro 2017Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB5120 x 2880 DisplayThanks for your help!
I am trying to set up a better workflow for importing my camera into Adobe Premiere. They are Sony cameras, and output .mxf files. I have found that importing these directly into Premiere causes a few issues, so thought it may be best to transcode in Media Encoder first to H.264. Source files are 35mbps, so is it safe to assume I could simply set up a custom preset 'Match Source' and settting Target Bitrate as 35mbps?? I also checked 'use Maximum Render Quality' Seems logical to me, but just want to check if there are any potential issues I may have overlooked. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I was working with Adobe Animate CC 2020 and tried to export an mp4 through media encoder (the only way I can export an mp4 from the app) and it opened AME, but the file never showed up in the queue window as if I'd normally opened AME without exporting anything. This had never happened before, and I didn't install any updates for my computer or the apps themselves since I had last successfully exported an mp4 through AME. I've spent the last couple hours doing everything from updating my computer (a Macbook Pro 2017, currently running on macOS Catalina but as I'm writing this I'm downloading macOS Big Sur to see if it fixes it somehow) to updating AME and Animate to their most recent 2021 versions, messing with and eventually resetting the settings in both (and testing it all throughout to reach the same result, a blank queue), uninstalling and reinstalling both apps, killing dynamiclinkmanager activity (recommended in a seperate article) and everything in between to try and fi
Hi, I have a problem when rendering to mp4. It looks like a bevel or shadow effect and it appears between two colors with high contrast. I've tried with multiple options changed, every time it appears. How can I avoid that effect?
Why? It is completely random and often slows my process down to a halt. MacMini M2 pro chip, 16 gigs of ram. Tons of drive space.
I am having the worst experience with AME. Its a 16 second video, that I am already 11 minutes into encoding and I'm not even 20% finished with it... On a 16 second video!!! There is no way that AME should ever take this long for a 16 second video. I've also had my software crash twice on me, and Pr isn't doing any better. I'm using a MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro, 16GB Ram, and I'm using version 23.0.1 for AME and 23.0.0 for Pr. Any ideas on how to fix this? I will post a screen shot below... Thanks for the help!
If a file is put in Queue and INGEST is set to do MD5, will an error show up if something goes wrong or do you need to go to FILE>ERROR or use some 3rd party app to see if the comparison went well.? Thanks!
I was trying to export something through After effects and it was taking forever and usually, it was going faster. Then I switched to Adobe Media Encoder to work on it while it rendered. Now they are both slow and weirldy Media Encoder is slightly better because I could at least get some part of the export when it takes to long because in after effects if its partially exported and crashes you cant even use the small bit that is exported. I am very disappointed in this whole process. Its been rendering for 30 hours and now it says its gonna take another 30 hours to complete. Mind you this is for a 27 second clip with minor to effects.
I am trying to render a one hour podcast. had no issues rendering 10, 15, 20, 30 min videos. Now all of a sudden, ME is dropping the ball. Once I start to export in ME, it will do 50% and then stop. And it will stop for HOURS. Like 6-10+ hours. Just sit there. No real CPU activity, nothing. Then it will randomly fire up and finish the project. #3 camera edited sequence, color correction, Beauty Box filter, and that is about it. A lower third logo, but nothing really graphics heavy at all throughout the whole project. This machine should BLAZE through that export, but no. Even without the pause, it is still taking TWICE as long as the length of playback. 1hr20m podcast, is taking 3 hours on remaining time. Then add in a 6-10 hour break in there, you can imagine it is bery frustrating. I mean, there is no CPU acitvity, but could something be processing in the backround on that i am not noticing? &n
So I send my Premiere-timeline to Media encoder to simultaneously export a proresmov and a h264. Afterwards, I sort my files in explorer in creation date - only to see that th mov is made 3 days into the future. See attached image, the exports were made on may 25th...
A week ago, I discussed about how I transfered everything from my old computer to my new one and how when I put the same export setting on my old one to the new one it kept failing. The export settings I put on Adobe Animate and Media Encoder are the exact same. For example, (Format:H.264, Present: Default AME). In Media Encoder, I change the present to High Quality 720p HD. When rendering, it kept failing and I tried earlier to get help, but the last guy told be to use hardware encoding. Did that, but I had to use another way to get that on my screen because keyboard shortcuts don't work on my computer. At this point, should I just get the latest version or is there another solution?Apps used:Adobe Media Encoder 2022Adobe Animate 2022
Hello, I have a bunch of AE projects to export and I've set them in que in ME to render over night. To my suprise they did not finnish. I checked the logs and it needs 4-5h for one project to render. But then I realised that ME isn't using the full GPU or CPU power. Any thoughts what I have set wrong or,..... (I have the lates drivers, updates,.. CUDA set in AE, PP and ME,...) Thanks
I found a link on a forum for the HAP encoder version 1.2.0. I used it to encode a file but the audio doesn't show up in the HAP encoded file. I used a ProRes HQ encoded file to convert to an Hap Q encoded file. When I check the audio pannel in Media Encoder it says "No applicable properties".
Porfavor para cuando esta funcion para Media Encoder poner para elegir la portada del video de inicio especialmente para que se vea al enviar por whatsapp por ejemplo Aclaro que CapCut tiene y es gratis
Would love a way to collapse all of the render queue, like you can in the bins for Preimere.Option click I believe.Sometimes with proxies I have a ton to go through and its much easier to keep tabs or see progress fast when all are collapsed.Just an idea that seems pretty easy to implement.
Hello everyone,I'm not able to open ME; this is the error I got: “Adobe Media Encoder 2023” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Bin. - This file was downloaded on an unknown date. I uninstalled twice and install the old one but none of them worked.Still not working.
Hey folks. I just updated to the new 2019 Creative Cloud. I am encoding my first project since the update. When I export out of Premiere, everything appears the same and completely normal. When I am in Media Encoder, everything seems normal as well. When I hit Start Queue (green play button) It tells me that is has to prepare 3611 audio files. I don't even have 3000 assets in the project. I literally have no idea where to begin to triage with this project. One thing I did was to start a new project, then imported the project I am working on into it. My thought would be that it would properly index the project files, eliminating any sort of issues. What it did was reassign many of my audio files. I have to go beck, use Replace Footage, and reassign most of the audio. Why, I don't know. When I went to export out of this new project with the old project opened in it, Media Encoder tells me the same thing - Preparing Audio (x of 3611). Then it just chugs away at preparing this magical 3611
Dear Adobe Community, We have about 30 presets with automatic uploads to ftp after conversion which we need to share across several user accounts on 6 different workstations. Unfortunately, it seems that when we copy over a preset to a new user account (no matter if it's on the same machine or not), the password field gets emptied. Even Cloud sync doesn't do the job here as we'd hoped for. We urgently need a solution to transfer all these presets with publishing details intact, otherwise, we would have to retype everything by hand, which would bring our business to a halt. Thank you!
We're currently working on a script-based UI panel with buttons for different encoding presets. Most of our deliverables can be exported directly from AE, however a few require HEVC, and using scripting to call forth an Output module with an AfterCodecs h265 preset has been wonky at best. I can't seem to find any info about queing a comp in AME with a specific preset, any info or insight would be appreciated!
Ever since I got a new computer, I've been trying to import the stuff I had on my old computer into my new one. When I finished animating a file that I left out a year ago and that I transferred from my old computer, I then put the same format and preset I always do on animate, (H.264/Default (AME). For some reason, when I try to render that on Adobe Media Encoder, it keeps failing. I tried 6 times, and the 2 of those times was changing the preset to Match Source - High bitrate. Unfortunately, that did not work. I don't really know what to do. Apps Used:Adobe Animate 2022Adobe Media Encoder 2022
We have been getting crashes, mostly while running Media Encoder CS6, where there is a crash... screen goes dark and fans run fast.
