I created a speedometer animation using After Effects, utilizing a script to animate the needle based on data from a CSV file. The animation works perfectly in After Effects.However, when I export the project with Media Encoder, the needle animation is not applied, and the needle does not move. I am wondering if Media Encoder supports animation scripts from After Effects.I would prefer not to export directly from After Effects, as it takes much longer compared to Media Encoder. Do you have any solutions or suggestions to ensure Media Encoder applies the needle animation? Thank

hi, i am using after effects and premire pro 2020 version,i realized the version of media encoder 2020 is gone and not avilaible in creative cloud,so i wanted to ask here, if is there still anyway to get the 2020 version?thank you!

 Adobe Media Encoder CC May 2020 is not loading up when clicked uppon. I get a notice that says "Adobe Media Encoder cannot create folder. C:\Users\David\Documents\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\14.0\presets   Please check permissions and restart the applkication."   I have looked where I thought they would be and can find nothing. I'm sure this is a simple fix (at least I hope so). I have a PC. Does anyone know where specifically I need to go and look to change whatever permissions needs to be changed. It was working fine earlier today. I'd be very grateful.

When I send any file to the queue from Pr or AE after I specifically told the programme the file needs to be replaced, Media Encoder does not respect that decision and adds "_1" behind the chosen file name for a newly created video file.How can I tell Media Encoder to stop doing this? 

Hi community, I have bunch of mp3 podcast that I need to convert to mp4. Every podcas needs to show the same image.Because of the ease I was trying to use a watched folder for this. Problem is I can't find a way to use stitched clips in a watch folder. The image I got fixed setup in a preset and this works like expected.    Anybody has an idea please? Or should this be handled like a feature request? Thanks, Geert

Hello,Probably a returning topic but I need some help here.Basically what my Media encoder sees as "source" has different colors than what i see in after effects, even with "Use display color management" unchecked. This results in faulty colors in my rendered result.When I render with the Render Queue I do get the right colors. However, I would like to use the Media Encoder because it has a lot more presets.I use Apple RGB in as color space in AE on advise of a friend, but not sure if that's the right thing to do here? I also tried Rec9 but that didn't change anything in the end. Does anyone have a solution for this?PS: I tried copy pasting the LUT files from AE to Media Encoder but that doesn't seem to work anymore.

A common problem it seems -  I have been through all the previous posts about this issue and tried absolutely everything but nothing works. This happened to me a while back, I left it, waited for a new update and it worked. I work with .MXFs everyday with no problem, and then somehow these specific ones are a problem. 1. Using Media Encoder 24.5 (problem present on previous version)2. Windows 10 22H23. I download .mxf file, put it in AME, set to conver to h.264 and I get this failed result error:4. Hi, I'm on a loaner work computer (2018 Macbook Pro, Venture 13.6.7) as my last one has to be rebuilt.  I set up my normal custom preset which includes VBR 2 pass but just realized that even with those settings Media Encoder (v 24.5) is only doing 1 pass.  I can't figure out why.  It's set to software encoding (won't work with hardware).  It doesn't matter if it comes from Premiere or After Effects it just ignores the 2pass and only does one with no errors or flags.  Does anyone have any idea why it's doing this?  I've used this preset for years (ss below) and never had an issue till this loaner laptop.  Of course, I just caught this when I have a rush project where minimal file size / maximum quality is a huge deal so I need to fix this asap.  Thanks! 

Hi all! I'm setting up some Adobe apps including Media Encoder, Dreamweaver and Animate for devices running Windows 10 and 11. On these devices, there are a configuration to hide the C drive for the standard users by using local policies:reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer /v NoDrives /t REG_DWORD /d "4" /freg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer /v NoViewOnDrive /t REG_DWORD /d "4" /f Dreamweaver and Animate comply with the configuration and prevent standard user to access/open file from hidden C drive. However, in Media Encoder, the Media Browser displays to whole C drive and allow standard users to open/import file from hidden C drive. Is there anyway we can hide the C drive in Media Browser? Thank you,Thong

Hi Everyone,I have been a PP editior for a long time and have seen a lot of crazy bugs etc. this one has me STUMPED. So I Have a project, 2 camera interviews of 5 or 6 people cut together on 1 timeline, straight forward. When I go to export the sequence out in AME It exports out the red "media missing"  frame for the entire video every clip. All the media is showing on the Timeline and I checked that every piece of media in the project is linked to the correct location. I do not get the warnig that media is missing and there is no yellow triangle in AME suggesting anything is wrong until it starts to export and I see its the red card. If I export directly from PP all works as it should. to troubleshoot I have:1. cleared cache both through PP & AME and by hand in the assigned media cache folder and the default location PP & AME would put the media cache.2. I have un-linked and re-linked all the media for the project.3. Manually deleted all Temp files4. Moved

Cuando pongo a exportar un video de premiere en encoder me sale un aviso que dice "se han detectado medios sin conexion y se van a codificar mediante proxy" , luego me muestra la lista de los archivos que se supone que estan desconectados. Cuando voy a la linea de tiempo de premiere no hay ningun archivo desconectado.A alguien le sucedio esto? No se me ocurre como resolverlo

Hi. I get an error message whenever I try to drop an AVI file into media encoder. Is it possible to convert an AVI file to anything using Adobe ME?

I have problem with newest version of Adobe Media Encoder. When i want to open AME, the start creen appears, but after a while, it disappears and nothing happens. In a nuttshell, it crash. Media Encoder just doesn't launch. Everything worked fine with the 2023 version, but after updating to the latest version, this problem appeared. I have Premiere Pro on the latest version and it works perfectly. The issue only occurs with Media Encoder. I have tried literally everything, running it as an administrator, using the "create proxy" option in Premiere Pro. Nothing works. I hope this problem can be resolved because without proxies, I am stuck.

I've looked through the forums and couldn't find anything covering this, so I figured asking here was worth a shot- sorry if this has been asked before.I can't get Adobe Media Encoder 2024 open on my mac; it's been giving me the "cannot create folder: presets" error. I've tried a few solutions, but nothing's worked. There isn't an "Adobe Media Encoder" file in the "/documents/adobe" folder, and I don't know how to make one- manually creating one doesn't work.Do I need to make that folder again to fix the situation, and how can I get Media Encoder to open? Hi there,when I have a composition in AFX titled for example "composition15.0_test" and I send that to render to Media Encoder, the output filename automatically changes to "composition15-0" (hyphen instead of dot). Why and how can I disable this? Thank you.

There used to be a Channels selection in ME that had things like (RGB, RGB+Alpha, etc.).  I can't find it (v24.5).  I've tried to use AVI, Quicktime, and a few others, but no option appears for the channels.  I do see a check box for 'alpha only', but that is not what I want.I've recently discovered I can choose a preset that states 'plus alpha'. I ended up using Quicktime and a profile with alpha. Oddly, I couldn't find it for AVI, and that is what I've used in the past.Note that even when I choose the profile with alpha, I still don't see a specific setting that is tied to this. I'm still curious if I am missing something obvious, as removing the Channels option seems odd.

Hello, I have a 30 fps video, but the media encoder changes it to 25 fps, how can I make it 30 fps?

I have been trying to export this visual I made on media encoder, but every time I try, it comes out low quality, although the original footage I used was 4K quality. Attached is the original video, my edit, and my export settings. This also seems to be a problem during playback in AE as it also looks to be low quality, so is it something to do with effects making the video lower quality? I think it may not be the exporting being the problem but the effects, but why do the effects make the quality lower and how can i fix this, or is it the export settings? 

AE 2022+ME 2022imported aep. into ME successfully without any link issue but the compositions didn't show up as expected, as you can see, nothing's listed in the window. It's a complicated project, but i waited for several hours and nothing showed up still.Same thing happen on the AE side, only even but the import-window didn't show upAny help is much appreciated!!!Tx
