I recently upgraded from CC2017 to CC2018 on both my PC at work and my Mac at home. When I was using CC2017 encoding 1920x755 (for digital signage) worked fine to a MPEG2 file. Today, I was trying to encode to a MPEG2 file, and started getting this error below. It happens on both my Mac at home and PC at work.I can get a 1920x1080 to encode, (1920x754 and 1920x756 both encode ok), the size I need to export for digital signage is 1920x755.Is there somewhere I can find what frame size is supported by MPEG2 codec? I feel like I've eliminated "hardware or memory problems" Things I've tried so far:- Uninstalled and reinstalled Media Encoder latest version (kept preferences from old CC2017 and also deleted preferences)- Cleared all my media caches- Restarted - Updated video card drivers- Tried a new simple AE project - Encoding Time: 00:00:0208/27/2018 04:58:33 PM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------Export ErrorError compiling movie.Codec compression

Is there any way to have a Watch Folder preset that will export a specific frame number (time code) to a JPEG? So far I have only been able to export the first frame, or an image sequence of all the frames.  What I am trying to do is create a Watch Folder I can drag a video file in to. ME will then export a JPEG of the 29th frame, or 00:00:00:29 to use as a preview image. I can get regular preset to do this by manually clicking on the preset, dragging the scrubber to the 29th frame, then hit ok and run the queue, but I cant get it to do this as part of a Watch Folder. When I use a JPEG preset on a Watch Folder I only get the first frame (which is never useful) or an image sequence, which is too much. 

Dear Community,I am currently trying to convert multiple JPEG files into H.264 formats using Media Encoder, and it's working quite well. However, I have the problem that the length is limited to 5 seconds. I can shorten it, but I can't extend it to, for example, 15 seconds. I could simply export it in Premiere, but since I have several JPEG files that I want to export as individual H.264 files, does anyone have an idea on how to achieve this?Best

HiI have a problem when exporting to this size 627x180px. I have attached a test that shows the problem. In the AE file there are two compositions. 1080x1080 and 627x180. If I chose Composition > Add to Media Encoder Queue and compress via Media Encoder, the 1080x1080 video is correct and the smaller 627x180 is getting a greenish tint. All settings are the same. Only the pixel size is different.I have also tried to export a mov or an avi and then compress via Media Encoder. Same result.Do anybody know a solution for this?Thanks,Jakob 

Hi AllSince few days I have a problem with AME . when I try to export a project form Adobe Pro it's crashing when it's trying open a project file with no warning. When just trying to open it it's work fine loading and no crash . I try to reinstall it remove casch file etc nothing help .Lenowo Yoga 9i Pro 16 GB RAM dedicated RTX 4050 any sugestion ?

why doesn't media encoder work for me? I updated the graphics card drivers, I didn't use damaged files on After Effects, but when I go to export a video with media encoder either the download stops and doesn't continue or it downloads to me but everything is buggy

Today I wanted to export my video from Premiere Pro 24.4.0 to Media Encoder 24.4. The project is send to ME and appears in the projects list. However when I click the start button nothing happens. I thought it might be a problem with the latest version of ME and thus went back to 24.3. However same problem here. So I also went back to Premiere Pro 24.3.0.  I opened a project which I recently successfully rendered with ME 24.3 and did send it to ME. But again - when clicking the start button nothing happens.Obviousely something has changed. Any hints? I am working on a PC under Windows  11 

When I import Footage in Premiere with a Slog color space I usually get a color space over ride that I go change the interpretation in Premiere. For color correction purpossus later.Then when I decide to create proxies for my offline work, it creates a proxy with the Slog over ride that was originally there. What the F? Now when I change from proxy to FullRes it shifts the colors.The only way I found that works is to create a proxy directly in Media encoder THEN import the Full res in Premiere THEN attach the proxies THEN interprate the color space.Is there a way to fix that thing with the proxy presets?Thanks JP

Have been using ME reliably on a 2015 iMac running Mojave. Today I get this error when opening progaram...have reinsatalled ME and then Creative Cloud, still not resolved. This is the only program affected.

Hi,I was wondering was did this option do in the mxf options ? I dont find any docs about this online. Does it transcode VBI or ANC data to something ... like VBI line 21 caption on SD material to ANC caption data ? I just want to know whats this option doing and in witch case you would want to check this box. Thanks.

As a sort of follow up to my last question, I am trying to run an AME script from After Effects. I'm able to succesfully do this by constructing my command, writing it to a file, and running 'system.callSystem();' Something like this:  var cmd = '"/Path/To/AME" --console es.processFile "/Path/To/TMP/File"'; var result = system.callSystem(cmd);  This works successfully but only if AME is closed when the script is run and provided that I close AME again ('app.exit()') at the end of my script. If AME is open when the script is run I get several errors (which I'll paste below) and if I don't exit the app at the end of my script, then After Effects hangs (or my terminal window if I run it directly) indefinitely. Does anyone know how I can sort out this issue so that I can run the script even if AME is already open and leave it open after the script is finished processing? Thank you! Adam ps here are the error messages I'm getting:&

Hi, I have these EXR frames coming from 3D software; the background is regular Sky skylighting with no map or texture. When processing all the frames with Media encoder, it will remove the background (Sky), and it will show it as black; the whole background is black.I know in After Effect you can choose how to export the background, but I don't see any option in media encoder, I already tried Proress 444, H.264 and DNXthank you.

I'm using Media Encoder ver: 24.4.1 but I've updated it multiple times since installing the 24 version and the issue persists. I'm on the Windows 10 OS. The encoder gets stuck every time I don't use my PC for about 5 to 10 minutes. That has been happening for months now, regardless of the project. If a project requires more than 5-10 minutes to render, and I'm not doing something on my PC while it's rendering, it's getting stuck every time. Then I need to restart my computer to be able to render again.That's very annoying as I can't go idle from the computer as long as rendering is in process which is very inconvenient. I've never encountered this problem on other computers. Anyone with the same issue. Have any idea about the problem?

Whenever I export a video to a certain disk - a 480gb SSD - it gets 24 bytes in size and corrupted. This happens regardless of the folder I export. But when I do the rendering to another disk, I cut the file and paste it in this mentioned 480 SSD, it works normally. I have already cleaned the disk and I have already verified that there is no instability in the SSD, but I would like to know why this problem only occurs with this disk.

Why is it that when I render video (both Premiere Pro and ME) it mostly uses the CPU to render when before it was still rendering using the GPU? I have looked very carefully but it still doesn't work. Although the time issue is just a minor problem, the main problem is that when using CPU to render, the video has very low fps (E.g.: I set the setting to 1080p 60fps but the result is result is only 20fps 720p)And because my English is very bad, please forgive me if there are any mistakes 

Hi all. Just got the new macbook and been loving the speed. Was rendering out deliverables like it was nothing when suddenly... that stopped? Render times increaased exponentially for just about no reason? I've restarted the computer and installed an update, moved clips into new sequences but issue persists. Occuring in both AME and natively in Premiere Pro. For reference, editing non-transcoded RED 6k footage alongside non-transcoded Canon r5 4k footage. Cutting 60s spots. Exporting 1920x1080 H.264. First few renders were done in around 10 seconds. Now more typically  1:1 ratio, taking anywhere from 45s to 2mins for each export.  I understand that I should be super stoked that I'm working with 6k and 4k footage and its only taking a couple minutes for each export. But I have to make like 50 of these so every second counts, trying to get to the bottom of why it was initially so fast and then randomly dwindled.  MBP 16:PROCESSOR AND GRAPHICS M3 Max wit

Every time I send an After Effects comp to the Media Encoder render queue it generates a tmp file stored in the same location of the project. This generates a large amount of files and disk space. Is there a way to automatically delete this files once rendered or, if not, change the location of this AME temp folder. I work with a 15GB Google Drive cloud and it goes out of storage from time to time because of this useless temp files.Thank you, Sergi

I'm working on an AME script that should work alongside an AE script. I would like to send a list of comps from AE to AME (which I'm successfully doing using `app.project.renderQueue.queueInAME(false)`) then edit the render settings for each using an AME script before starting the render.Unfortunately, reading through the AME scripting documentation, I can't figure out how to access a list of all the batch items currently in the queue. I see that the frontend object has methods (like `frontend.addFileToBatch(...)`) which return scripting objects or events like `onItemAddedToBatch` where I can access items as they're added to the batch. But is there a way to access the items already in the queue?It feels like a simple thing, but I just can't figure it out.
