After Effects buggy on a new M1 Macbook

After Effects sometimes does not allow you to save your documents? It also only allows you to preview about 3 frames when you have worked on a composition for about 10 minutes, which makes it unworkable. This is on a brand new M1 Macbook with 16 GBs of RAM, running AE 22.6 and macOS 12.6. I have looked for answers on the community but no luck. Please Adobe test the new M1 Macbook and fix these issues.
