Question

after effects error: missing data in file (33:4)

I had worked on the aftereffect 2019 until 5 o'clock this morning.

But when I turned on the file I had worked on at 6 in the evening, the error window popped up.
I tried all the methods I had done, but it didn’t work.
I’ve done all the following.

I also updated it to 2020.
Both 17.0 and the latest version, version 16.0, are all error windows.
Help me.

I can’t speak English, so I ask you through the translator.
So it might not make sense.
I'm sorry.

Hi @Gomttokzee,

Welcome to the community and sorry for your issue. I see that you are getting error "missing data in file (33:4)" when you try to open your file in After Effects.

It was a known issue in After Effects 17.0.1. The issue has been fixed in the latest release 17.0.2. You can update your After Effects to the latest and try to open your project.

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Nishu

Unfortunately, my After effects version is already 17.0.2.

Any other cause?

Are you getting this issue only with the existing files (created in 17.0.1) or with the files created in version 17.0.2 as well?

Thanks,

Nishu
