Program crash / freeze with Mercury Transit Enabled - AE v18

Hi,

I have a second monitor hooked up for previewing full screen. 
But in AE v18.any (working in 18.4.1 now) the program freezes, with Mercury Transit active, as soon as I close a project timeline.
Took we while to figure out when it is being triggered. Therefore worked for a long time in v17 which doesn't cause this crash.
Doesn't anyone else experience this issue?

I work on an iMac Pro - 18 Core Intel Xeon W - 128Gb Ram.
After Effects 18.4.1

    FINALLY, someone else has experienced this!  Hey Jean-Paul!

    I, too, know exactly what you are experiencing.  I have been mentioning this ever since Adobe went to 2021. [See This: AE Hangs when using external video output]

     

    It does not appear to crash when you are not using the external video output. But the very moment you do and decide to switch compositions, it will CRASH!  This did not happen with Adobe After Effects 2020.  We either have to go back to After Effects 2020 to use external video or be mindful to disable the video output (/) when using 2021.

     

    I do hope Adobe developers see this!  Its been a nusance.
