Hello,I am in a bit of a pickle. Last year I developed a school app for a company and they now want me to do a small update to it, as well as making a new app.The problem is that many of the schools using the app still have a lot of first generation iPads. The app runs very well on the device, but I don't think I am able to update it without loosing the support for iPad 1. Since Apple requires 64-bit support I can't use an older AIR version than 16 right?Has anyone been able to publish a new app that supports iOS 5.1.1 (ie the latest version iPad1 supports) using AIR? I am not using any extensions or any new features.Thanks in advance!

I build apps that use an iOS app (built in AIR) to control a second screen app (also built in Flash/AIR) via a local Netstream P2P connection. This works great, but we occasionally come across an issue: The two apps are connected, and working.But after a short period without the 'controller' app being used (the iPad), a delay takes place between the commands being sent from the iPad and being received by the other app.The delay can be between 8 - 12 seconds, then the second app responds, and then subsequent messages are instant once again.Has anyone else encountered this strange timeout? I can't seem to drill down to the source of the problem.Thanks!

Hi,I have been using a licensing ANE built based on this; Licensing Adobe AIR applications on Android | Adobe Developer ConnectionI have been using it without problems for a long, long while...However, I have just discovered some devices where I cannot launch my app as as it crashes unceremoniously with "Unfortunately, <APP NAME> has stopped. OK" No errors are found in action script, no code has changed (in AIR / Actionscript) from where it worked. Just a complete wipe-out and disappearance of the app.I have traced through as far as ActionScript will let me and I know that the LicenseChecker.checkLicense() call not only occurs successfully, but that it returns with a value of "1" which is what I would expect from the "AndroidLicensing.java" checkLicense call.However, shortly after this, the app dies... as in wipe-out... as in gone... dead... kaput.I've done some digging and found (through adb logcat) that there is a fatal error as per the below, so...I know that something has gon

I came across a memory leak with textfields using non-embeddedd chars.The issue occurs on Windows desktop with AIR 20 SDK and Flex 4.14.1.The textfield I'm using is the spark Label (however, from a post on Stackoverflow (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/23271354/as3-textfield-and-textformat-memory-leak-other-bitmap-memory/), I would assume that this does also occur for Flash TextFields/Textfields based on FTE).In Adobe Scout I do see a memory increase for "Bitmap" -> "Other Bitmap Memory" when I'm adding Labels with non-embedded chars.When I remove the textfields, the memory will remain the same and not decrease as one would expect.There is no situation where the memory will ever decrease - Garbage Collector System.gc() does also not work.The renderMode in the app descriptor XML does affect this behaviour as the following:- renderMode cpu:Memory does never increase- renderMode gpu:Memory does always increase- renderMode direct:Memory does only increase when application is fullscre

I having trouble to upload my app. The trouble refer to "the Info.plist in the package must contain the CFBundleVersion key" in Application loader. I have used AIR 19 Desktop for mac and Flash version 15. I assume that the info.plist is missing information and I wonder if it's possible to add missing information into the info.plist file thats requires. Maybe that will help? Or is it something else I can do? I am relay stucked here and would be very greatful for som help to step furher.

Hey folks, I am trying to release a version of my app that works perfectly signed as development but when I compile either AdHoc or Distribution builds the ANE's fail to bubble events through FREDispatchStatusEventAsync even though the app builds fine with no reported errors, so this is super difficult to debug! I've never had this issue with iOS 8.x or iOS 7.x either and I've tried recompiling the ANE's using iOS SDK 9.1 and the Beta 9.2 and tried AIR SDK's 18, 19 and 20 beta and have even tried updating the Flex SDK to 4.16.1 but get the same problem every time - Essentially it works in developer mode fine but distribution build offer no joy even though the app builds fine with no reported errors, I'm absolutely stumped on this now and even thinking of ditching AIR for good as it feels so flakey and unloved . . . Has anyone else experienced this kind of issue for iOS9.x builds if so, how did you resolve it so I can ship my app.Many thanks in advance.

This is very frustrating. I have created an ios app, and I am trying to publish to ios app store with application loader. The problem is that I keep getting this error:I have tried to look this up of course, but the answers form others don't help me at all. I am using AIR 4.14 and publishing from Intellij Idea. In both my root project folder and src folder I have these two images files, size 640x1136: Default-568@2x.png and Default-568h@2x~iphone.pngI have tried a ton of variations and different image names, but I am completely lost now. Does anyone know how to fix this?Thanks.

Problem description:AIR for android application with <application android:hardwareAccelerated="true"> will stuck and be unresponsive if brought to foreground from background in Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).We did some test with in Nexus(Android 6.0) device, and were able to reproduce the issue with Starling sample project.App failed to continue when attempted to switch between apps second time, though our app failed at first attempt.Reproduction:Application was packaged with latest AIR SDK (19.0.0.213), in Nexus 5 / 7 (both Android 6)App expected to continue running, but actually stucks (black screen) and OS prompts to terminate unreponsive app at second attempt to bring it foreground.Turning off hardware acceleration seems to circumvent the issue, at performance cost.
