I have an AIR app created for desktop that is designed to go fullscreen on open. The problem is, I noticed that the quality of the graphics was very poor. I checked the individual .swf, as well as the video source being loaded into the .swf, and they both look crisp. Why is AIR compromising the sharpness of my assets?
When we use air for mobile to develop, if we use ane in the front. For example, we use the NSTime of IOS, so the debug mode compiled is quite different from that of ad-hoc. The NSTime of debug will be accurate, but the NSTime in ad-hoc will become inaccurate.
This discussion is about the behaviour of ADL within Intellij IDEA. I have already asked the question in the Intellij IDEA forum https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/requests/1688027 but the opinion there is that this is an ADL issue not an IDE one, hence why I am here.Basically when I run my AIR for iOS project within the IDE under emulation, ADL opens a huge window approximately twice the height of my monitor making it impossible to use the app (there are login input fields hidden "below the monitor"). I have set the window size within the IDE (Screen: 1242x2148 Full:1242x2208 ppi:401) which are supposed to be used by ADL but they seem to be ignored. I've tried adding specific options to ADL such as -screensize 1242x2148:1242x2208but that seems to clash with the IDE as I get an error message "-screensize already specified" and ADL does not launch.Does anyone have an idea what is going on here with ADL?TIA

Hi,There is a problem with the stageWebView in AIR 29 and AIR 30 loading LOCAL HTML files. The scenario is, on the iPad app, I have a html file downloaded and saved locally in a subfolder in the documentsDirectory. The path is something like "file:///var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/uid/Documents/45/index.html". When the app first launched, it loades the this HTML file and displayed fine. Every link on the HTML within the same sub-directory "45" loads fine.Then the app downloaded another set of files from the server and saved to another sub-directory in documents directory that has another index.html file - ""file:///var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/uid/Documents/49/index.html". When the same stageWebView tried to load the index.html from the new sub-directory, it threw the error - [ErrorEvent type="error" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="The operation couldn't be completed. Operation not permitted." errorID=3228]. This is the same error code before A
I can not install my App to iOS 12 dev beta devices for debugging. If iI package the App and install it from TestFlight it works. The notch cuts out actionbar. In native Apps I can use Safe Area to position Content. Is there anything in Actionscript? Or do I have to check if there is a notch and increase actionBar height?
Hi, I'm currently trying to push off some time consuming tasks to an actionscript worker. This worker will in turn needs to call out to an AIR Native Extension as part of it's processing.I've tried various combination in Flash Builder 4.7 i.e. embedded worker and external worker (with explicit packaging of the ANE in the external worker project) but alas I've been unable to get this to setup to work. I keep getting an error from the worker saying that the native extesion class could not be found (Error #1014).Does anyone know if it is at all possible to do this or it's a limitation of Actionscript workers (loading thw swf bytes does not load up the ANE)?

Hi,I've developed a stand alone desktop app using the Adobe Air SDK but if there is an update available for my application, the user has to download and install the new application, over the top of the previous install.The problem is that this is fine for major updates but for smaller bug fixes this is a very tedious way of updating the bug fix.Is it possible to update my Adobe Air application, with a background update?This would then allow for simple bug fix updates to be downloaded in the background, and then when then the user can be notified there is an update ready to be installed.In ShortIs it possible to update the main contents of my application, which is loaded into the Adobe Air player when the app starts, without having to install the main application all over again?And if so, how would I might go about doing this?Thanks in advance

In Android native code (kotlin) I can acces files like this var fileUri = FileProvider.getUriForFile(this, applicationContext.packageName + ".provider", file) In Adobe Air it is not possible to get the file ref correct. What I need is content://... and not file://... FileProvider.getUriForFile is not available in Air SDK 30 How can I solve this problem?
Hi, I need to show a DXF file in an Adobe AIR application. What I have seen is that I will probably have to convert it to a suitable file type such as FXG for Flex. I wonder if there is any library or something to make this conversion. It would be fine any other ideas instead of libraries for conversion having in mind that what I need is to show the content of DXF file into my application. Thanks, Ale
Hi,For debug purposes, I want to be able to include a resource - network_security_config.xml - in the /res/ directory of the packaged APK.EG: I want a reference to this stored XML that I can access using:<application ... android:networkSecurityConfig="@xml/network_security_config" >in my Android manifest.However...This doesn't seem to be possible!The /res/ directory seems entirely controlled by AIR and even adding it as an asset in res/ of an ANE places it somewhere unexpected.Is there a way to add and reference the network_security_config.xml file in my manifest?Thanks,Gaius
I was comparing AIR frameworks files between two macOS AIR app versions (one was causing an issue) and I noticed three unique files contained in the problematic app. They are located in "Contents/Frameworks/Adobe AIR.framework/Versions/1.0/Resources" and are named:adobecp.pluginadobecp.vchAdobeCP15.pluginWhen these files are removed the app appears to still function normally. What are these files and are they mandatory for AIR app functionality? I'm just looking for some clarification as to why they may have appeared in one app and not another.

I am trying to access the video output from a Bluefish Neutron card and display it in an AIR desktop app.I have plenty of experience loading and displaying both local and streaming video but none at all about how to access a video card.Can anyone give me any pointers on how to start with such a task?Many thanks.

I am having trouble reinstalling the Adobe AIR application. I keep getting this message when I attempt to reinstall the latest update from the internet.I have deleted the old application, but it still will not let me download and install a new one.

This is with Air 30 build 103. and affects Android 。 (1)I have tested so far on Redmi 5plus,honor v10, Redmi mix2s。 They're fullscreen (1080*2160 )pixel, Scroll bar up and down work bad。(2)I have tested on MI 4LTE。 It‘s fullscreen (1080*1920)pixel, Scroll bar work fine.
I've been waiting for some direction or guidance for months on a critical bug:Embedding otf font broken in air 30 and air 29The bug I entered into the tracker has been deleted or the tracker site is broken in that my bugs reported are gone.Can anyone from the adobe air team provide me some direction on this issue? Hello.After noticing that AIR 3.9 was no longer accepted on the Apple Store (http://flashgamer.com/blog/comments/apple-is-not-currently-accepting-applications-built-with-air-3.9), I downloaded a new Apache Flex SDK (version 4.11 + AIR 4.0 + Flash Player 12.0). I then recompiled my mobile application, with no errors. But both on the emulator and the device (iPhone 3GS), the spark labels I used in the whole application don´t load properlly the embedded fonts set on the CSS file. They always show the default font style.
