I opened my Flash fla file in Animate and received this message: I believe because of this one part of the animation doesn't work in Animate, the stars are there but they don't appear when I play the movie inside Animate nor when I export the file.I'm a graphic designer, I know little about programming. Please help

Hi,I need to create a simple drop down menu that when a certain option is selected it takes you to a certain frame.So for example when Location 1 is selected from the drop down menu it goes and stops at frame 21. I have "Insert Blank Keyframe" bound to F7. I've tested my Keyboard, F7 functions properly, but Adobe Animate refuses to recognize the keystroke "F7". All other Function keys are recognized as a keystroke. I'm on Adobe Animate 2023 for Windows.

Trying to copy and paste elements inside the same Adobe Animate project or between 2 projects, I could not paste anything. How do I resize the stage dimensions, without shifting it to the left? My stage is wider than the content area. All I want is to reduce the width of the stage, but keep the live area in the center (like resizing the canvas in Photoshop. Is it possible to do this?

why does it add a keyframe automaticly when i move an object on stage? this occures a lot of errors. in the earlyer versions it did't do so. where can i turn automatisms off?thanks for help

I've been using this program constantly for four years now, and only recently have I actually had to deal with corrupted files. At first I thought it may have something to do with the fact that my laptop has a terrible battery, so unplugging it immediately kills it. But this issue comes up even if I first close Animate and wait a moment to let the close process. And not only does it corrupt files, but it also resets all of my preferences which I have to adjust back every time. Keyboard shortcuts, workspace, and all. This has happened several times in the last month out of nowhere. I am using 2024 edition, and debating whether just switching back to 2023 will make any difference for now. Also as a side note sometimes transforming objects will ruin them? I always use the fluid brush, and even with lock fill turned off, transforming something made with that tool will change its color or fill the art with a different color when there wasn't one already. So my .fla file got corrupted when I closed the application. I thought it was fine as I had a recover file that didn't save anything corrupted, but it seems like Animate deleted the RECOVER file.I was wondering if there is any way to get this recover file back, as I know I can't uncorrupt the main file. 

Hi! I've been working on a webshow with a very small team of people, however I'm the only animator. Every so-often in I render an MP4 to check if animated symbols are showing properly since they don't play in previews, and that's all fine! But the problem comes in when it comes to one specific asset. On it's own in the program, the symbol looks like this: This is great to me. It looks exactly as it should and is the proper level of transparency.However, when I actually render it into a video, the symbol shows like this.At first glance it appears to have made one of my layers completely solid, but that isn't the case.It's still transparent, just much less so.Now, I'm still relatively new to Animate, I've only been using it for about 6 months, so I'm not sure if this is user error, a problem with Animate itself, or something else.If this helps at all, the symbol's layers themselves look like this:The problem layer in question is layer 5. When attempting to save a .fla file yesterday, I suddenly got a message saying that Adobe Animate was "unable to save the document as 'documentname'". It also told me to change the name or relocate the file but when I clicked out of the message, Animate closed itself and automatically deleted the file both from Recents and my computer itself. I have been unable to find it in the Trash or anywhere else on my computer and I'm questioning if it is a glitch. Nothing like this has happened to any other .fla file I worked on. (I would show a picture but I didn't have the time to take one before it closed out.)

In recently  installed Animate but now i cant reproduce the swf files. There is no longer a way to view them as before with a plug in?

im trying to get box2dflash for as2, but i cant seem to find it, so, how do i find one? and how do i use it? im trying to use it for my 2d solar system sandbox game in flash, and it needs to do the following:planets must always orbit the sun (and will drift off when the sun gets deleted)moons must always orbit their planetsthe sun, planets, moons, and more objects can be draggable and can be thrown and can collide with other objects (the collision will also have plenty of objects flying away)when you right click an object, theres a menu showing an "Orbit" and "Orbit planet" button, the orbit button will make the object orbit the sun and the orbit planet button will make the object orbit the planet around like a moona play and pause button, the stop button will pause the solar system, the play button will play the solar system again 

Im farily new to adobe animate but I'v been looking for an answer to my problem. I have a new xp-pen 22 pro and have been loving it with adobe animate cc but resecntlly the rollors I have set up for the zoom and move feature arnt working proporlly. when using the roller to zoom in it dose nothing but the zoom out feature is fine and the roller for moving isnt doing anything as well. I am on the most resnt update from the time of this post and it dosnt apper to be the drawing tablet because the application is working fine with all my other apps on my computer. is there any settings in animate cc that can help me or might there be a problem with the most resent update? I should also note that this has been an on going problem for the last week or so if not longer, i'd really like some feed back on this problem is manageable but dosnt help with work flow.

(This may be a topic for unsupported software and possibly be of effect from external tools I have used)Also, I am sorry if this is the wrong place to post this here but I did not know where else to post this except in Flash's successor. So over the course of several months, I have been attempting to use Blender for the creation of sprites to be used in Macromedia Flash 8 Professional. This process has involved exporting the .blend file into an .svg format to then .swf format by the SVG2SWF converter script as to transfer vector images onto Flash without suffering distortions as in bitmap tracing a png.Opening these new SWF files with Flash Player 8 looks normal, nothing different as I can see the image. However, importing the files onto Macromedia Flash 8 itself results in a blank graphic being imported (All I get is the centerpoint); or with a black & white test image I got off a browser to test, the colors being inverted.I am aware that this possibly can be because of flaws

I have imported an audio file to my project. i tried both wav and mp3. I can hear it in the test but it does not play in the timeline. I have it set to stream, tried other settings there and it's still not playing. This is the very latest update as of Jan 31. I do this all the time and for some reason today it's giving me trouble. Anyone else seeing this issue? ThanksDave

Hi, I know this sounds daft but i can't clear individual guides by simply dragging them into the ruler and they arent locked! is this a known issue?Andy

Hello there,I know this question has been asked before. I'm animating a video and at one specific point a number appears which I'd like to count up, it wouldn't be triggered by a button, it would just start counting when it appeared on the screen.I know the code to do this has been posted on this forum before but I'm unsure as how to actually utilise it? I'm in no way a coder so I'm animating primarily from the timeline and there seems to be a lot of things I have to do before I even use the code.If anyone's answered this question before and can provide help again it would be greatly appreciated.

El sistema de esqueleto en Adobe animation, Tiene un error garrafal, al momento de intentar crear un gif, de forma qué, el primer fotograma sea el mismo que el ultimo y entremedio un fotograma que se vea un tipo de cambio en el personaje animado. El dilema es que al momento de intentar invertir esas poses, (Del primer Fotograma clave y el segundo fotograma clave siendo el cambio de movimiento del objeto) con el esqueleto, no funciona, se devuelve al mismo fotograma copiado
