Hello. Why can't I erase the area around the character? I can't draw on this area and on the character itself. this is my first animation and I don`t know what to do with it  

Hi everyone,I'm just getting started with Adobe Animate and I've created an interface which has three sub menus which transition in/out depending on user interaction.So, I click on option A and its sub items transition out of that to be viewable and clickable.I then click on option B and option A's sub items transition back in while option B's sub items transition out to be clicked etc.However, if I click on them in quick succession - ie, before the option A's sub items have fully transitioned out - then B's items will appear while A's are still in transition.I feel like I need to set a parent variable which denotes when a transition is still happening and only allows interaction once any transition is complete. But my initial attempt to set a variable at the top level and then change it in a movie clip's javascript returned a variable definition error - likely a scope issue?I'm going to keep trying things, but any thoughts on this would be really greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance

So I just recently discovered this glitch after updating my Adobe Animate to the current Adobe Animate CC 2018. When I'm in adobe animate and SWF preview the animation looks fine, but when I put it into swivel to convert to MP4 the camera movements make the animation white out everything but the right corner of the animation... I've attached picturesI was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this. I've re installed both Animate and Swivel, and still no fix.

I'm a 2D animator for a game studio and the last two characters I've worked on have been like pulling teeth by the end due to an issue I don't understand. When I drill down deep into the symbol structure of the character (a vehicle with a driver) trying to leave the driver's face symbol will cause animate to freeze for about a minute. It never crashes, just takes forever to get back out. This doesn't happen with all the symbols but it is impacting my day job a considerate amount. I also get a hard freeze that I have to force close animate to when I am adjusting the stage size for the final export of the sprites. Is the file too large? Is there a cache of files that's filled up somewhere that is causing this? Is this software actually just made of duct tape and beans? File Specs: 481 items in the library, 977 frames of animation, 3.5mb file size, composed of lossless image assets from a photoshop PSD. Adobe Animate Version 24 Build 305. Computer Specs: AMD Ryzen 7 27

looking if theirs a simpler way of creating for insance 10 1 single frame keyframes and then automatiing adding 10 second to each keyframe. this is a task i do a lot and seems that it would be a easy task to automate .

I have a textfield with about 100000 characters.Is there a way to display different fonts for each language in this field?(For example) English=>"Arial", Hangul=>"Malkun Gothic"If possible, please provide sample code.

I teach a high school animation class and we run Adobe CC on all of our computers (Dell Precision 3650 with 11th Gen Intel I5, 16 GB RAM, and NVIDIA T1000 Video Card). This week they all started crashing as soon as someone tries to open any file on Animate. We tried updaitng, uninstalling/reinstalling, removing preferences, and restoring previous versions of the app. The strange thing is that sometimes one fix would work and other times it wouldn't. And sometimes none of them work. Even when it does work, sometimes an older version of Animate will now crash when we try to export H.264 or when we try to import MP3. All of our other CC Aps (Photoshop, Acrobat, and Illustrator) are working just fine.There really seems to be no rhyme or reason for the issue.Please help!

Hi everyone, I've created an interactive video in Camtasia which I can export to HTML5 resulting in the following files:embed.cssindex.htmla media folder that contains another bunch of files (MP4 video, images, skins, scripts, xml files, etc.) I would like to integrate this interactive video with all the elements mentioned above into an Animate project to let the user play the video with all its interactivity when they get to the scene. Any idea if this would be feasible? Thanks in advance for your tips!

Dear All Thank you for your timeI have aproblem that cant seem to work out looked on line and read some books but cant finda solution. I have one movie clip that is tweened on a straight path that is movable with the mouuseas wel as rotatable with buttons, the imbedde tweened object cabn also be moved with buttons . The collision object is a line that rotates 360deg with a button . That all works, what I cant figure out to do is display the distance to the line as the tweened object approaches the like a countdown to a colision.added a photo to help explain.Thank you all

I try to export but nothing happens. 

I am trying to export animations as gifs. I have these sat up for videos for other uses, so I would like to export them at 50% as gifs. However I've been running into this issue where I set the percent and export it, half the time they remain the full size. What I have noticed is this happens when the preview does not update after I change the image size. What I do is go to "Export Animated Gif..." then the export window pops up with an additional pop up titled "Processing..." with a progress bar. Then when that's done, I change the percent to 50 and click out of the text box. Which then it should automatically run the "Processing..." pop-up again and update the preview, then when I export the gif is correct. However half the time after I change the size, that pop-up will not appear again, the preview will not update, and the exported gif will be exported in the original size. Is there a way to manually update the preview? Or some better work around?Thanks!   

I just upgraded my Adobe Animate from 2019 version to 23.0.3 version today. However, when I publish HTML5, the animate shows following message** 11 Bitmaps packed successfully into 1 spritesheet(s).but there is no file in default folder images\. I have another laptop running with the same version of 23.0.3. It does not have this problem. Anyone can advise?

Just upgraded to Animate 20.0.3, and when I publish my existing HTML5 project. The texture/spritesheets are not getting generated. The console says: ** 38 Bitmaps packed successfully into 2 spritesheet(s). But they are not in the published image folder. However, the _preloader gif is. I have attached screen shots of my publish settings. NOTE: I am able to publish my existing HTML5 project in Animate 19.2.1 without any issues. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Here's my scenario. I have a button that has AS3 attached that tells it on mouseclick to play a movie clip. The movie clip plays from frame 1 - 15. On frame 15 there is a this.stop(). When it's hit again, the movie clip plays from frame 16-30. The first 1-15 frames of the movie clip is a tween that fades the object up...and the latter half fades it down.  What I'm struggling with is I'd like the movie clip to continue playing after X seconds in case no one has pressed the button a second time and I don't know how. Essentially, after X seconds, fade the movie clips down.  As I indicated, I have an Actions layer associated with each buttons that tells them what to do, then Actions layer on the movie clips that have stops at frame 1 and 15 with tweens for fading up and down.

Any help/ code/ example to do a magnifying glass effect with this kind of effect of the content change/ rainbow is much appreciated. Maybe even a single thing like either rainbow effect on  the edges or content change. I'm a completely noob at this 

Just like the Magic Wand does in Photoshop. I know there is a magic wand in Animate too, but it only works for bitmaps for some reason...?!Being able to do that for the shapes would be awesome!If there is no tool for that, do you think it can be done by code?

I'm an animation student so I bought a pc so I could do my work at home. When I get it on and all my stuff is set up, nothing is there. I tried making a new file and that ones there but still not the others.

Hello everyone! I've created an html 5 file on animate that all points to the same page. I have a problem, I tried to load the html + images folder + javascript excluded from the html but the page opening is about 9 seconds. I would like to decrease the page opening a lot how can I do it? 

 I was working on my character for my new channel and didn't name it giving it the name "untitled-1.fla" and saving it on my computer. I wanted to make a quick test animation, and accidentally saved it as "untitled-1", overwriting my character. I've tried looking through my tmp folder. I tried looking for the "RECOVER_" file. I tried looking at "window > history". nothing. this fr discouraged me. after all that work, how could I make such a simple but stupid mistake?

In my timeline, I have frames that are sometimes on 2's, somtimes 4's, sometimes holding for dozens of frames. When I do "Export Movie" as PNG Sequence, it makes an image for every frame on 1's. For example, for the keyframe that is 4 frames long, it's exporting 4 identical images of that keyframe, rather than just 1 image for that keyframe. Is it possible so that the exported images reflect the keyframes, rather than every single 1 frame? Thank you.

Hello, I have an animation of an old fashioned scale with 3 states: hanging to the left, in the middle(level) and hanging to the right. You can go to the states by pressing 3 buttons. One for every state. So when I press button 1, the scales animate to the left hanging state. Button 2, the scales go level. button 3 the scales go to the right hanging state. When I press button 3 after button 1, the scale must go from left hanging state to right hanging state. So the button sees which state the movieclip is in(left, level or right) and animates to the right state.It looks pretty simple but I can't get it to work.Any help is much appreciated.Thanks in advance 🙂
