I'm trying to do a LocalConnection between an application (.exe) file and an android application, I've tried almost every domain and I keep getting errors. What should I do?

It appears in Adobe Animate you cannot change the label type for multiple keyframes at once, or it's not possible on my Adobe Animate ver 23.02 Installation for some reason. I was not able to select a range of frames and change the label type from the properties panel's "frame" section as expected, nor was I able to change the type for all frames at once by using the  "Edit Multiple Frames" mode.As a workaround, I put this command script together and I am sharing it here in case anyone else needs it too. Link to Script: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nGetXzD5N8-mLVhmn4QwfVhAqHQqS5iv/view?usp=sharingIt allows you to select a range of frames on a layer and switch the label type to name, comment, or anchor type. For some reason or another whenever I go to generate a sprite sheet, the preview tab just does not work and it shows a blank nothing. The spritesheet tab does show the actual sprites and stuff that are being used, but on the otherhand, with the preview tab it just does not show upUsing this sprite sheet with the xml then kind of causes an error as well with the sprites not even loading or showing properly. I've used the sprite sheet generator many times and even going to older projects it just shows absolutely nothing in the preview tab. I've tried restarting animate as well but that did nothing at all. did I do something to the settings making this break, and it if is how do I fix it? or is this just a bug that I can't do nothing about.

Hey! Recently move to Adobe animate, and i've found an issue. You guys see, at Macromedia Flash 8 has an specific way to stretch, if you see, a whole part of the object you're stretching is not moving at all, but if i try the same at Adobe Animate it moves at both sides. Is there any way to change this to how it was at Macromedia?

i animate a body then move on to the head but when i press f6 it goes to the end of my animation

I'm a noob and have just realized edits I make to a symbol on the stage also change it in the library. Is there a best practice for keeping an uneditable version of a symbol? In other I want to keep a neutrally posed symbol to use as reference. I was expecting that would be default behavior in the library, but either I've made an incorrect assumption of I'm doing something wrong. Thanks to anyone who can clarify.

I have a problem with my recent project. When I saved my project and tried to export it to an mp4, it suddenly stopped working and crashed. Now the FLA is only 300 bytes and I can't acces it anymore, telling me there was an error while starting it up.Does anyone know what possibly could have happend and maybe have a solution for this?

I just updated to the newest version of Animate, V24.0. I build AS3 training modules as standalone programs, so I'm NOT using HTML5. I'm unable to use embedded font styles for dynamic text. The fonts are in the library, but whenever I try to set the font style to one of those fonts, it doesn't work and reverts to Helvetica. I can set the font style to any font in the display list, but none of the embedded font styles. I've tried creating new font styles now that I'm running V24, but they have the same problem, so it's not an issue with fonts embedded in the previous version of Animate. I think I'm going to try to revert back to the previous version of Animate to fix the problem.

Hi, Ive setup a simple illustration in adobe illustrator 2023 with freeform gradient. When I import this into Adobe Animate 2023 the gradient turns Red? How do I stop this happening? lister

Hi - i need some help.I have a HTML-Page (a) with four buttons in it. By clicking one of this buttons a function "callNL(value)" will called which is within this page (a) - this works.On the same HTML-Page (a) i have an iframe with the id "ifr_unten". In this iframe a HTML-Page (b) is running. This page (b) contains my Animate animation. In this animation there is a dynamic textfield, which should show some text if i click one of the buttons of page (a). To show the text there is a function "changeLanguage(value)" which i want to call via the function "callNL(value)" from page (a). On page (a) i usevar iframe = document.getElementById("ifr_unten");to get access to the page which is running in the iframe. The result is: [object HTMLiFrameElement]To call the function within the animation i use thenvar iframeDocument = iframe.contentDocument; iframeDocument.defaultView.changeLanguage(indx);But as result i get always NULL. What to do? Can someone please help me. 

i have a very old set of game files thats been baffling me for ages how they did this and wondering if anyone has any insights how the as3 code works.i am looking at this code due to how elegant it , but over time the  actionsript f files that combined them all are long lost and this is the missing step i need to usethis method for my own projects.  This thing loads 400 character files /9 species and they fit into ONE wireframe and have no less than 16 types of clothing. i got as far as being able to in the TIMELINE being able to assemble them by dropping and replacing assets but the as3 code is baffling me how its done. here is how the files are setup: character file->wireframe16 pieces of clothing->wireframethe files themselves are as followswireframe has NOTHING but placement data on it character file has nothing but limited cell animation piecesall characters have their pieces in one place as far as i can tell(i can if i name them the as3 name th

ok i have a issue thats been bafflng me for a while here.  i know you can add custom keyboard shortcuts but how do you add it for the properties box forthe properties of a symbol (select a symbol, right click, and select properties)  the project im working on im having to copy and paste the actionscript names of things to the name box(or the art pieces well, explode)  and i can setup everything else just fine, but stillhave to manaully do this part.id like to assign it to a single key so i can open it, copy , paste the text and b e done with it.  or does anyone know of a script etc that could do this part for me. literally just needs to copy the as3 name to the name box as these files have in some 300 plus files and not one of them the same symbol number across files. i do need to unify them to work with them outside a runtime envirnment and this seemed to be the least invasive way to do this. this seems to correct the problem as the as3 code itself i

The latest Animate update has done something bad to the brushes (both Classic and Fluid).  The stroke has become wobbly to the point it's almost unusable (throwback to Flash's awful tools).And, while I draw, the controur of the stroke is pixellated (or, not antialiased). It softens when I release the Wacom pen, but to see this happening all the time  is a bad drawing experience.  Has anybody else noticed this?I enclose two images to explain what's going on (open them so you can look at the strokes in full size).

I've been having trouble with the 3D Transform Tool. Moving a movie clip symbol on any axis via the 3D Transform Tool appears to double what you ask for. For example, I click and drag a movie clip symbol's Y axis by 25 degrees and as soon as I let go of the mouse it will instead rotate 50 degrees. I have tried it on 2 separate computers in new files,  I did not have this issue 2 years. Could it be a bug in the 2023 and 2024 versions of Animate?

I have a Movieclip symbol for a character and within it are multiple symbols of body parts that are linked together using Layer Parenting. Please see my linked .fla here if needed. I can't seem to upload it directly to the forum for some reason.When I rotate one of the body parts such as the torso symbol using the below ActionScript 3.0 code, the torso rotates, but its linked child layers do not rotate with it.   MovieClip(root).character.torso.rotation = 45;  How can I get the linked layers to move along with the torso symbol which is being moved with ActionScript?While I know a workaround would be to place all the other body part symbols inside the "torso" symbol and then rotate it, I would still like to know if layer-parented symbols can be moved with ActionScript while moving the rest of its linked layers with it.Thank you for any input or assistance with this!

I'm new to animate and I am trying to keyframe a simple character. However, I accidentally did something causing the departure keyframe on one layer to turn blank, Which in turn made that entire layer dissapear from the scene. I'm sure its a simple non- intuitive oversight, but Its had me stumped for the better part of an hour.

Hello, please help me solve this problem: how to fix this bug, like when you start playing the animation from some place, you can’t hear the sound. Hello!   I am a senior in my Bachelor of Science in Digital Technology and Innovations focusing on Game Design. My professor utilized this link in their lesson this week: https://creativecloud.adobe.com/learn/animate/web/manage-workspace   I was disappointed and sad that Adobe,  a billion dollar company, did not have the ability to change the speed of the video. I have been diagnosed with ADHD and PTSD and learning poses challenges to me for a multitude of reasons and havign the option to watch an educational video at 1.5 or 2 times speed with subtitles helps me so much.. My school is in Arkansas, one of the poorest states in the United States and even our video uploaded by our professors have the ability to change the speed of the lecture. and view with subtitles    So I ask you, please make all videos on your site to have the ability to be watched at different speeds and include subtitles. Had a student with a question. Tried to effeciently give her a way to attack a scene. I have a file quick test file, will post the link to it.Tried to have a torch with a loop, nested flame animation tweened, make a graphic symbol out of it.Then on the main time line have a bunch of instance copies of the symbolParalax the torches lined up going across the scene. What's happening is when I go back to the main timeline, and I have all the instances, I try to classic tween a paralax of the torches going across the screen and it's forcing me to create another tween symbol. Hello Everyone, yesterday I was working on animation and I feel some of colors are not supporting. My question is why would some colors of an object disappear when it is converted to a symbol?Thanks

Is this possible in Animate CC? Was going through some content today from the Animators survival kit. I see that your taught to animate simplified figure and get the keys down first. Then extremes with a very simplified figure. Once it's animated, then you go back and think about clothing and everything else. How can you translate this technique to animate cc? How can you animate the scene with simplified figure for timing, and then go and attach items and cloths later? This would help my students be able to focus on a few things at a time then many. Thank animate and animation experts.
