Bridge 13.0.2 crashes on startup in Win 10

Since "upgrading) to 13.0.2 all I get on my desktop computer is the Bridge menu bar and a small dialog box without in the centre of the screen with the word Bridge and an OK button. Doesn't respond!

 

I can't seem to interupt the boot with Ctrl Alt Shift as suggested in some "fixes". Is there a way of clearing all caches / preferences etc from Windows (if it is likely to help)?

 

Creative Cloud isn't offering me the option of rolling back to an earlier version!

 

Also downloaded and tried the latest Beta version with exactly the same problem.

 

On a similar spec laptop 13.0.2  seems to work OK.

Please update or install Bridge Beta via the Creative Cloud Desktop app.

 

Steps to install/update

 

InstallGo to the Creative Cloud desktop app and select Beta apps in the left sidebar of the Apps panel. Then select install for your beta app.

 

Update: Go to the Creative Cloud desktop app, click on Update in the left sidebar of the Apps panel and Check for updates. Then click update for your beta app.

 

Let us know if this Beta release resolves the problem for those affected, and share your feedback.

I have had this problem for a few weeks on my desktop Windows 10.

Today I decided to load an older version of Bridge, the last of the 12 series...BINGO

Both the older and the latest now open and function but you have to keep the older version downloaded HOORAY.

Beta version 13.0.3.686 works.

Thanks for that, just downloaded and yes at a first quick look it does seem to work. I had tried the previous Beta a week or so ago and that failed on opening just like the latest full version.

I have the same problem. Reinstalling didn't help either.

Unhandled exception at 0x00007FF82028F6A9 (ntdll.dll) in Adobe Bridge.exe: 0xC0000374: The heap was corrupted (parameters: 0x00007FF8202F97F0).

There seems to be total silence from Adobe about this issue - quite disgraceful!

 

Is there any hope that when the eventaully upgrade from 13.0.2 it will be fixed?

 

Does it only affect those with certain older Nvidia cards? Work fine on my laptop (similar generation) with its inbuilt Intel graphics.

I think it has nothing to do with Nvidia cards. For me it didn't work with the Intel HD Graphic 3000.

Exact same thing happening here. Usually dies before crash logs are written. I was able to get some though, indicated heap corrupted. This has been reported previously a few times.

thats what i keep getting, dont really use bridge to much but would be useful to know what the problem is .
