Hi ! I have this script that works flawlessly but when i execute it on big video files ( > 1GB) bridge doesn't repaint and it looks like it's stuck. I would like to have a progress bar showing % remaining on the task and the name of the file being treated. Can someone point me into the right direction as my adobe scripting knowledge is not that great. #target bridge if( BridgeTalk.appName == "bridge" ) { descToTitle = MenuElement.create("command", "Log Comment to Description", "at the end of Tools");}descToTitle.onSelect = function () { if (ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript == undefined) ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript = new ExternalObject("lib:AdobeXMPScript"); var thumb = app.document.selections; for(var s in thumb){ &nbs
Would is be possible to write a custom manual bridge sort file (hidden file)? The idea would be able take a list of jpegs in a specific order and get Bridge to to sort them according to the order on the list via preserved filename metadata. Say an ordered list of images for an animated sequence?Any advice and or a script would be great! Thanks!

Save text file with all folders and show me popup with full quadraturePlease help!Best regards.
I've tried almost everything I can think of to set presentationPath to the folder I want, but no matter what I do, it always gets set to "Desktop".app.document.presentationPath="E:\Photoshoots";app.document.presentationPath="/e/Photoshoots";fold=new Folder("E:\Photoshoots");app.document.presentationPath=fold.path;app.document.presentationPath=fold; <---I know it's supposed to be a string, but I tried this anyway.Yes, the folder "E:\Photoshoots" does exist.I know this should work. I just can't see what I'm doing wrong.
I am using Ps CC and Bridge CC. I have created a custom visual watermark in Ps that has a transparent backgound. If I have the photo open in Ps, I can drag and drop the watermark onto the photo and it looks fine. But when I try to use the Output menu in Bridge (I added the Output module yesterday), I can specify the correct psd file with the watermark under the "Add image" instead of "Add text" area in the Watermark sub tab under Outpuf, but the background of the watermark comes out white, so that the watermark is inside the white box. I want to batch process the addition Bridge. How cam I fix this? Thanks.Chris
helloI would like to do as above, with InDesign you have a fodler called Scripts/Startup Scripts with scripts inside can i do the same with Bridge CS6?Thanks
Is this possible? I have a large keyword list that has been developed over a long period of time. I want to be able to autocomplete when I start typing, based on the keywords list. The list has become very difficult to quickly navigate in the keyword panel. Thoughts?
Hi ! I'm fiddling with this code to copy the xmpDM:logComment field into the DC:Description field and each time i run it, it fails saying an error relating to : Unregistred Namespace. Code comes from here : http://forums.adobe.com/message/3847726#target bridge if( BridgeTalk.appName == "bridge" ) { descToTitle = MenuElement.create("command", "Log Comment to Description", "at the end of Tools");}descToTitle.onSelect = function () { if (ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript == undefined) ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript = new ExternalObject("lib:AdobeXMPScript"); var thumb = app.document.selections; for(var s in thumb){ if(thumb.hasMetadata){ var selectedFile = thumb.spec; var myXmpFile = new XMPFile( selectedFile.fsName, XMPConst.UNKNOWN, XMPConst.OPEN_FOR_UPDATE); var myXmp = myXmpFile.getXMP(); var LogComment = getProperty.(XMPConst.NS_DM, "logComment"); &nb
Hi all,I have a project which involves adding metadata from a supplied .xls file to a series of .pdfs. Obviously this can be done manually, but this project involves thousands of files. I know that this is possible via scripting in Bridge, but I have very little experience with JavaScripting. My skills are mostly limited to cribbing scripts I have found on the web and trying to adjust them to suit my needs. So far I have not been successful. My understanding is that exporting the .xls file as a tab delimited text file would be the best option seeing as how some of the fields use commas. There are 5 metadata fields in all. 3 of them are standard fields (filename, title, author/creator) and 2 of them are custom fields (degree year, publisher). It's the custom fields that I'm having the most trouble with. Anyone have any thoughts or advice? Thanks.
Does someone have a script to add "Copy File Name without extension" (and without path) to the clipboard in the context menu?I already have "copy full name and path" and "copy name with extension." I've tried to edit them but can't figure it out. Thanks,Drew
I was trying to find a way of activating by script the preferences to activate the color profile by serial camera id.It is just to turn on this option on bridge Camera Raw Preferences:Edit > Camera Raw Preferences > Make defaults specific to camera serial number (to ON)I have a contralized multi-studio color profiles calibration that are updated daily when any computer starts bridge or photoshop, and it is all done by script automatically. It is just this line that is missing and I couldn't activate it by script.
I need a script, and I am not qualified to write it. Any pros looking for some freelance work? Need a script to import text from a CSV to a specific field.
I added Keywords to many jpg files when I should have added them to their scanned source files (tifs). Is there an efficient way to copy them from the jpg versions to their tif “originals?” Except for their suffixes, they are identically named. Obviously the keywords assigned to any one jpg can be dragged to its tif version (or to any any other image file). But I have about nine thousand of them, each with its own set of keywords, and each with its own tif source file (with no keywords). Is there a way to automate this? Is there a way to tell the jpgs to transfer their metadata to other files with the same names (minus prefix) or to any other files?I’m working in Bridge3 OSX, but will use any software that can do this efficiently. And I will learn whatever scripting is necessary if that’s what it takes.
Hi there everyone,I'm glad to announce the first release of "Tree Shade" plugin which I developed and coded using Javascript for Bridge and InDesign. This plugin manipulates InDesign Links and provide versioning system that takes care on the document-Link and link-document relationship in these two directions.https://sourceforge.net/projects/treeshade/files/
I'm happy to announce the first release of Bridge-InDesign plugin I have just finished developing. It has many features but querying link-page relationship and restoration of missed links as a result of renaming and moving links files. Also versioning and auto exporting. Please help me by feeding back. (This tryout copy for two weeks)http://sourceforge.net/projects/treeshade/Thanks in advance.
I came across Dr Browns fantastic script and I'm hoping there's a developer that might be able to help with a minor (?) revision to the code.He has kindly released the source code on his website http://www.russellbrown.com/images/tips_downloads/OpenSource.zipI need it to do two main things:Save 1. run a renaming convention on the original images and retain the file type/ extensionSave 2. resize the images for web (incorporating an action called up from PS to convert to RGB). No problems here.I know I can do this in a two step process with bridge to rename and then use the script (or indeed a droplet) to resize for web, but I wish to keep this as a one step process.Image Processor Pro does both of these fine except for one thing:I need an option in Save 1. to save files in the format they already are - rather than forcing all files to save into a particular format.I get hundreds of images from various companies (I work as a designer for an arts organistion) and they are all in a v
Hi. I have two sets of images with the same size and names (but with different content), located in two different folders. I want to overlay and flatten all pairs with corresponding names (that is, image1.png from set 1 with image1.png from set 2, and so on). Actions obviously won't do it all, so some script is in order. My scripting skills are nil. Thanks for any help.
As simple as the subject.. please.. bring it back! Adobe Output Module was an essential tool in Bridge, possibly the key feature to show people why to use Bridge. Any good news in the near future? L.
I have written a script for Bridge that does deflickering and ramping of ACR settings for timelapse purposes. You can get the script here:https://github.com/davidmilligan/BridgeRampFurther dissucssions about this script have been going on over at the Magic Lantern forum here:http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=8850.0I thought I'd share it over here, as it has reached a pretty stable state and most of the bugs have been ironed out. Please hit me up with any questions or bugs.
We're working on building a palette with a scrollbar. However, we're running into an issue with the display in CS6. We've gotten it to display correctly on Windows and Macs in previous versions of Bridge, but CS6 seems to have a bug even after the most recent update (version 5.0.1.21).The scroll bar appears as below. When we changed the dimensions of the scrollbar, we found that not only was the scrollbar distorted but it's actually oriented horizontally to control the vertical position. We've tried nesting the scrollbar in a group or giving it a separate panel, as well as giving those panels and groups a specific column orientation, but nearly all of those results give us something like the following:The following code was our last iteration that gives the above output:#target bridgeif (BridgeTalk.appName == 'bridge') // dimension and font variables var fF = ['fill', 'fill']; var fT = ['fill', 'top']; var lblSize = [60, 15]; &n
Anyone know how to output file properties to PDF? I'm hoping to print image dimensions alongside images in contact sheets. Thanks.
Someone in the general discussion area suggested I cross-post this question here:I'm trying to find the best way to add some Dublin Core into TIFF files. Basically I'd like to add data to the dc:identifier and dc:relation fields while I'm adding other data in Bridge. Is there a way to create a tab for Dublin Core in the metadata window? Currently we're using Bridge and IPTC core was working okay, but now we need to add some metadata that would fit better in Dublin Core. I know it has a namespace in XMP, but can't figure out a way to use Bridge or Photoshop to enter it.I have tried to adapt a script created by Paul Riggott in this thread, but have been unable to make it work. I also tried the "add identifier" script in this thread, but I'm not seeing how it works... probably because it was written for the Mac and I'm working in Windows. Any suggestions? Thanks.
