photoshop file name corectly showing but bridge file name rong viewing any remady
I accidentally imported preferences to Bridge on Mac, and I heard that Command+Option+Shift allows you to reset preferences. However, I got no results from doing so, even after doing it numerous times over and holding down those buttons for an extended period of time. Nothing works. What else am I not doing or what else can be done?
When I plug in my Western Digital USB drives, the new Bridge can see the drive, but not any files or folders on the drive. Previous versions had not problem with these exact drives. I can still access everything through Finder, but doing so doesn't get them linked in Bridge. I have tried this from nikunj.m going "to the System Preferences for macOS, then navigate to Security and Privacy and select the Privacy tab. Add Bridge 2020 under the Accessibilty list and grant permissions to Bridge under Files and Folders.Once you have made the changes, restart the computer" That did not help either.
I really don't care for any other "new" feature than restoring the performance from Bridge 12. I don't want to bother checking the beta anymore. Do your job. Have you done this? Adobe Bridge Team. As you can see, a lot of people are talking about you breaking performance after V12. I for one don't care AT ALL about new features until you fix the broken foundation of bridge. It doesn't help if you ad fancy stuff, file support and what not if a large part of bridge users can't even use Bridge. There should only be one priority for you, and that is restoring performance to match AT LEAST V12. That's the bare minimum. Also, why don't you address this huge problem here in the forum? Explain what is going on! 1. Do you know what's causing it? 2. Can you fix it? That's the only two questions we want to know. We even want you to answer "we have given up on performance l" if that's the case. Give us something. The silence from you is really
I recently watched a Youtube channel on using metadata in Adobe Bridge. After creating at preset for my metadata including name, copyright information, website etc. I wanted to use some of the fields when batch renaming.I noticed that you can create a template for batch renaming but you could not select a field from the metadata eg. Title and Description. I have to type the information manually for each set of images. It would be useful if the ‘batch rename’ template would allow you to use metadata fields to make up the file name.Is there a way of doing this?
This has been a problem for ages now, and despite trying everything suggested I can not seem to get Bridge set up to actually load a thumbnails for any folder of images in anything remotely resembling a timely fashion. This is a HUGE time suck when I'm trying to get anything done. Just now, I went back and reinstalled the last V10 of Bridge which had been working fine when I last used it. However, it now runs just as poorly as all the more recent versions. EXAMPLE: I click on a folder that contains image files. Bridge displays blank tiles, then ever so slowly a new thumbnail appears. I can wait between 4 seconds and 30 seconds for each new thumbnail to load. A folder of 1,000 files is basically impossible to look through unless I go and get a cup of coffee and come back an hour later. Sixty minutes of waiting for this piece of software to generate smaller than postage stamp size thumbnails. How is this a professional piece of software if it cannot do its most basic task
So I don't know if it a bug or a feature but when I make a copy of a folder (one with original sky and the copy folder to replace new sky) and then edit all of the photo in it in photoshop. When I go back to bridge, I accidently press Ctrl +Z and the whole folder copy and all of the files I just edit just gone, no way to recover. I try to press Ctrl + Y to redo it but nothing happen. That really frustrating to deal with. Anyway to prevent that happen??
It is unfortunate that I will not be able to eventually update Bridge 14 to Bridge version 15 because of the AVX2 system requirement. My system is AVX1 equipped only, and the download link for the 15 beta version shows my system as incompatible. I don't use Bridge for audio or video files (at all), and I don't think I'm wrong when I claim that the vast majority of Bridge users would very likely be using it for still photos (only), as it is geared towards photo enthusiasts and professional photographers. My teenage daughters don't use Adobe Bridge!
I'm having an intermettent problem with Bridge not writing keywords to SVGs, and occasionally other files. It's really random- some work, and others don't, and sometimes if I come back later the ones that don't work suddenly work. I'm on Windows 10, with the Version 14.1.2.300.
i an trying to do a batch rename.i am trying to get the 4 digit number after the 6 digit number. With my curent expression it puts the 4#s after the NEF.i have tried to create a new sequence number after $3 and it still goes behind the .nefAnyone have a work around? Here is a screen shot if that helps.
I have the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription which gives me access to all apps. However, even though I have never selected to install Adobe Bridge, when I opened my computer just now, I found that it has been installed.I removed it immediately, but I am concerned that Adobe feels it has the right to just install applications on my computer without my approval. Why was Bridge installed on my computer, and how do I ensure it won't be installed again? How do I ensure Adobe only ever installed programs I select, and nothing else?
I just loaded up a brand new laptop with (all Beta) Bridge, Raw, Photoshop. Every time I click on a photo in Bridge and it opens in RAW, Photoshop opens. And when I save the file in RAW, Bridge closes and I have to click on the Bridge Icon to have it open up again. I cannot seem to keep Photoshop minimized and out of the process. This was not happening on my previous laptop. Is there a setting to make PS stay minimized and Bridge stay open???
I use the latest subscription version of Adobe Bridge CC to catalog, search, and retrieve items from my large collection of digital assets. I've tailored all the settings to suit my preferences. I'm moving to a new computer, and I want to doso efficiently, while moving all my settings. I found good instructions from Adobe on how to migrate Photoshop, but nothing on Bridge. I've searched online and looked for advice on YouTube. Nothing.Does anyone have a set of instructions on how to move Bridge to a new computer, or perhaps a useful link? Thanks!
Unfortunately, using Bridge CC (2023) when deleting .NEF or RAW files from an SD card, it seems that they do not get sent to the recycle bin. My deletion came when I was Batch Renaming several files, and then noticed that some files nearby were suddenly missing. Never pressed the delete key, never went through the prompt to confirm deletion (which comes up when: right click>delete)... Using Recuva I was able to recover the deleted files but it's problematic that we cannot choose where deleted files go in Bridge. I fear that if I had not noticed the deleted files, and removed the SD card and taken a photo that the files would have been unrecoverable.
Adobe Bridge 14.1.2.300MBP running OS 12.2I've never had a problem until today. I'm trying to open my Documents folder and it won't open. This folder and my desktop folder both have this small arrow, looks like what you'd have for an alias, I can't figure it out. I've tried re-setting preferences, emptying cache, uninstalling and re-installing. Nothing works. Please help
I'm on a Mac using Ventura 13.5.1 We recently went on a big trip so I thought I would dig my "real" camera out of the closet, dust it off, and take it with me. Yay me! /vent on I've not used Bridge in several years, but I've always chosen to keep the versions updated. I cannot fathom ever possibly saying "no, don't keep my preferences" but it's the only thing I can possible imagine happening because I just opened Bridge 2024 and all the time I spent creating collections and keywords and building a true database to find images easily is just *GONE*. I could (or should?) be angry with myself, I suppose, if I actually DID somehow choose to delete all the hard work I created, but the level of ire I currently possess toward Adobe is far, far greater. Wouldn't it be better to assume people WANT to keep their preferences, their favorites, their collections, and everything else that was customized for a workflow? That, I don't know, the software is smart enough t
I've tried every solution posted in the Forums, but none of them have workedThow out Adobe Camera Raw prefs; Didn't workPurge cache; Didn't workUninstal/Reinstall; Didn't workApplied recommended settings; Didn't workNothin' worked. Half of my image files are Tiffs. Pretty frustrating
This problem seems to come and go, even without changing versions, and it results in a lot of wasted time: I load up a directory of 1000 or so images and I start scrolling through them. Bridge pauses each time a new batch of images appears on screen. So I scroll to the next batch. And wait. Then scroll. Then wait. Then scroll. Then wait. You get the idea... Sometimes Bridge will generate all thumbnails/previews when I load up a directory but sometimes not. I can't figure out what causes it to do so. I have Preview Generation set to "Always Generate". I have Preview Quality set to "Standard". I have tried "Embedded" and "Standard" preview size and there is no difference in behavior. So how do I force Bridge to generate all thumbnails/previews every time I load up a directory? I'm happy to wait for it to finish but I can't figure out how to make it process more than a dozen or so images at a time.
*****************The following problem:When I tag my tram pictures, I first add the number and later I want to add keywords from the list (which is organised by city) to each picture by ticking them off.Problem: the keywords ‘jump’ down and I have to scroll up again to be able to add the keywords. Example: see film Does anyone have a solution please.
Se uso bridge continuamente ok, ma se mi fermo per qualche minuto quando riprendo il lavoro o si rallenta o addirittura si blocca. Difficile anche chiuderlo, persino coin gestione attività di Window
Suddenly most tiffs will not display. I can't get used to BR 2024. I hate that Adobe has reduced the Color Theme options to just dark and light, and has removed the middle gray. So I got on the phone with Adobe, only to have the tech disable the version 11 I had, forcing me to downgrade to an older version (11.0). It seemed to work fine. But I got a new computer, and now this is all I see in BR 2021 (see attachment). What the heck?
Hi there, I'm having similar issues on a Mac. Bridge is showing that no files exist in folders that show up correctly in Finder. Bridge 2023: v 13.0.1.583PS 2023: v 24.0.1Macbook Pro 2019: Ventura 13.0.1File Type Association: all relevant types set to Photoshop 2023 24.0.1 (JPG, TIFF, PNG, PSD, PSB & NEF are the only types I really use) The files in question that are not appearing are stored on a WD external 2TB drive (easystore 2648, v 4.4.407). It isn't an SDD, but is only a week old and works just fine with every other application. I've verified in my Privacy settings that both Bridge and PS have full disk access. I would love any help you can offer. I know this is a nasty time of year to be in customer service and so very much do appreciate your efforts! Best,Mike
I'm critical of the stability and performance of recent Bridge releases, but I also want to report when it works correctly.Today, I had to export 17,000+ PSD files to JPEG. I've been testing Bridge 15 beta and although it still is not suited for production, this particular task went well.I exported in two batches, one ~3700 files and the second ~13,500 files. The export went off with no crashes, stutters, memory leaks, CPU spikes, errors, or other problems. Performance was good. This is what I'd love to see with the entire application.
