Problem writing cache alert

I keep getting this all of the sudden:

"There was a problem writing to the cache, file/ Volumes..... because of a disk error. The cache will be replaced.

I click ok, and I don't notice anything is wrong or odd.

The alert is highly annoying because now it's so frequent.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Hi larry,

Could you please try resetting the preferences of Bridge that might help:

    Start Adobe
Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.

Would be nice if someone warned you that you loose al your favorites then and all the thumbnails need to be regenerated.
So then at least we could write the favorites down or backup them up from the register.
So this "solution " made my situation even worse.

Thanks Rohit, it's a very broad page, so it's not worth much unless someone can get more specific. It seems to happen on all folders now.
