Are you launching this e-learning module as a SCORM package from an LMS?

If so, is the module set up to bookmark the student's score?

Yes we are launching the e-learning module as a SCORM1.2 package. Yes the bookmark is set up with the student score. Please advice.

If you have only allowed one attempt on the module from the LMS then I think what is happening is that the LMS does not reset the bookmarking when you relaunch the module.

There are two things happening here:

    1. If the learner clicks the Review Quiz button on the Quiz Result slide, the Captivate module takes that to mean that the learner has terminated their quiz attempts on that session.  The only way to reset for more quiz attempts is to relaunch the module to start another user session.
    2.  If only one attempt on the module has been allowed by the settings configured in the LMS then the bookmarking saved by LMS from the previous user session will not allow the module to reset the quiz for another attempt.

There are several things you can do:

    • Allow more than one attempt in the course settings in the LMS so that learners are able to reattempt quizzes even though they have used up all allowed quiz attempts set in the Captivate Quiz settings.
    • Turn off course bookmarking in the Captivate Quiz settings so that the Captivate module resets completely each and every time it is relaunched. (But this also means that learners would need to restart the module from the beginning each time it is launched.)
    • Turn off Review Quiz to prevent learners from clicking that button and prematurely terminating their quiz sessions. (But this means unless you are providing immediatel feedback at each quiz question the learners will not know which answers were correct or incorrect.)

Each choice has advantages and disadvantages.  You need to decide which options you prefer.
