HiI have a problem that I think can be solved with Captivate. At first, I just need to know if this is possible or not. If so, i might need help to do it. 😃I want to be ablo to scroll through pictures with a slider. Just like in a movie clip where you can pause and slide in the timeline back and forth.I would also, if possible be able to hide or show different layers of slideshow. Lets say i have 100 frames (pictures) of a house construction building. 1 frame represent 1 day.I also have 100 frames from the same house just showing water pipline etc. Another 100 with electrical wire etc.I then want to be able to hide or reveal each of those layer whenever in the timeline. So that I can see how far the work with the ex the piping is done at day 63.... etc... Is this possible in Captivate or shall I search for another tool? I googled and found some kind of "slider components widget" that could bind to variables. Maybe this is one part of the solution?M

I have a project that is a software simulation Quiz with "optional" answers to the scenario.  i.e. the user can click one of 3 click boxes, and get awarded one point for answering correctly on a slide...However, Captivate 2019, thinks the correct points for that slide is equal to 3, because there are 3 correct ways to reach the same result - so the percentage is thrown off dramatically.  Out of the total potential points that can be earned, the user gets significantly lower point values while answering all questions correctly.  The number of Captivate click boxes is equal to 73, but the total correct answers are equal to 66 correct clicks.  I need to create a custom score - (cpQuizInfoTotalQuizPoints/66)*100 to get the percentage score.  Is that possible?  How can I pass that newly calculated percentage to the LMS?

Hi, I'm running Captivate 10. My runtime dialogs do not have any text on the buttons. I thought it was a problem with the settings in Object Style Manager, but that didn't help. I'm using the white template publishing to HTML5 content. I can get them to show up in other templates, but I am modifying courses created previously in Captivate 9 (where the runtime dialog buttons worked with this template). Thanks for any and all help.

I'm attempting to publish a multiscorm package, that requires the user to proceed in order.  The individual SCORM zips are entered in the order they should be taken.  (I'm using SCORM 1.2 standard).  When I click Multiple SCOs template for version 1.2, I do not see the "Force Module Sequence" checkbox.   Simple Remediation and Pre-test or Post-test seems to require SCORM 2004.  I thought I have been able to force module sequence in SCORM 1.2 projects before.  Has this changed?  Do I have to republish to SCORM 2004 in order to force sequence?

I am creating a responsive project in Captivate 2019. Every time I attempt to insert an asset (scenario specifically) Captivate will successfully download the asset and then lock up and crash during the insert process. I have tried all of the suggestions found on the community thus far without success. Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated as both IT and myself are at a loss.

Hello fellow learners,  Hope you are all doing good this Memorial Day weekend. I am currently working on an Adobe Captivate project which consists of a course (slides created on Microsoft PowerPoint and imported into Captivate, size of slides is set to "Standard" in PPT) and two simulations (both were recorded in Demo and Training modes.)  The files are separate for now but I would like to merge (or consolidate) in a single CPTX file that I will be publishing in SCORM 1.2. What is the best way to move my simulation project slides into the .CPTX course file? I have tried the Aggregator Project option but it won't let me add the simulation slides since Aggregator Project will only let me add files with the .SWF file extension. I also tried to copy and paste (slide by slide) the simulation into the course .CPTX which only threw the simulation files out of their format. I will appreciate if any of you could advise and share any feedback/best practices, and perhaps help

Hi,I have an assessment in Captivate 5 where I want the user to be able to select one of three routes at a certain point in a quiz, but each of these routes to only count for one point in the quiz total. Is this possible?So for example, if they take route 1 via click boxes/buttons (not decided which yet) then they can answer the question & score one point if correctly answered, but if they take route 2 the same thing happens & they score one point for this question, but I'd like to see if something can be done so that Captivate does not see this section as being worth 3 points.In other words, one question with 3 options, but only one point available.Any ideas would be great!Thanks

Good afternoon, I'm creating a project in which, when a user clicks on some objects, they rotate 90º on themselves. I'd like to know if I can assign a score to the object's spin; f.e., when the object is in 180º, it is assigned a score of 1. The purpose of this is to identify when all objects are in the correct position to enable the "Forward" button. Thank you!

Hey guys, why does Captivate behave in such a way? Look at the attached pictures. In my captivate file the point C is fitting nicely in a line. Once i export it and check the slide, the sentence now has been separated into two lines.  Why is that?! Captivate: Preview:

I need to show a window with text on the same page as a Web Object. The text window appears with a button click. However, the Web Object is always on top. Is there a way to hide the Web Object temporarily, or, make it so it is not always on top?

Is it possible to pause and resume an imported HTML5 animation inside Captivate using custom buttons?  I've searched these forums and the internet, and I'm quite surprised I haven't found this discussed by now. We're not trying to sync up timelines, just a simple pause/resume toggle button. Thanks!  

Error-unable to acquire LMS API, content may not play properly and results may not be recordedand how i record the results in the quiz 

I have a powerpoint that I converted to a Captivate, it has 24 slides, along with voiceover, and is approximately 19 minutes long, it - no bells and whistles or moving pieces so to speak. I have been told my the administrator of the LMS system that we use that it won't upload due to the size, at first it wouldn't upload due to the fact that it was missing the imlmanifest and by watching youtube after youtube realized I had to go into settings and adjust Quiz so that Scorm was chosen so that settings weren't disabled, well I fixed that problem, now I have the error that its saying the file is too large to upload!  Can anyone please tell me how I can solve this problem? this project needs to get out and I am at my wits end- I know we all are- I tried to publish to video but that brought me to youtube which I don't want, I just want my plain old simple powerpoint turned into a Captivate 9 to be able to be uploade to LMS- anyone out there to help me or guide me?   Please? HiI want to remove the playbar from my captivate project. How can i add a pause and play button so that when a learner clicks pause, the audio and the slide pauses. and when learner clicks play/resume, the audio and slide resumes from where it paused.  Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone else encountered the below picutred overlap of fields, and do you know the cause?Initially, the ID and password fields did not appear when I would access this window (just the server field); I've tried populating these fields, and even tabbing to try to access the server field, but to no avail.

Hello,  I am considering getting a licence, but I wonder whether the projects created will still be usable after the licence expiration date? Or do you have to have an active licence at all times?  Thanks a lot!

Hi, I'm hopping someone may be able to point me in the right direction as I'm struggling to find a solution. I've published a simple quiz to my LMS and all seems to record Ok, until I noticed if I get an answer incorrect and then exit the course the course goes back to the question I got incorrect and allows me to select another answer. If I get the answer correct I move on. Also if I get an answer incorrect and continue and get the next one correct and exit it records everything as expected. I'm so confused, if anyone has any ideas it would really help me out - thanks CSG **I forgot to add**When I make an incorrect selection, I submit the answer and go to the next slide. It's at this point I exit the course and the incorrect answer isn't recorded on the LMS. It only logs the question as incorrect on the interaction data if I answer a proceeding question correctly.

Hi, At the end of a quiz if learners have not passed I want them to be able to Review Quiz or Retake Quiz.   I can get that far, but... If learners Review Quiz they are not then allowed to Retake Quiz because the button disappears.  Are there settings to have the retake quiz button remain after learners have reviewed the quiz? Many thanks!Alex

I'm very new to Captivate.  I want to publish to HTM5 and have my index file be index.html NOT html_scorm.html.  How do I do that? I'm assuming it's a preference when I publish.  The options are SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, AICC, and xAPI.  Is this where I set it? Thank you in advance.

I am a new user of Adobe captivate. I have an older  macbook pro, however I upgraded the catalina operating system. I am trying to import a power point file into captivate, as i get to the end of the import this pops up, and i am unable to finish the import.I downloaded the program, and restarted and still the same problem. HEEEELP! 

Hello! If I create a video or an interactive lesson in AC, can I upload it as is and expect it to be fully functional and interactive?  If so, what is the resulting file format?  Do I have a choice of .AVI, or .mp4, or is it something else completely? OR, do I have to plug it into something else like Adobe Premiere?  I know from there I can make it .avi, etc.

I've been testing a new CBT.  One user failed the quiz at the end of the CBT with a score of 80.  Then on the second attempt she scored 100 on the quiz, however, the LMS registered her score as 91.  Any ideas why this is happening?  I have Send Data Tracking at End selected within the Quiz settings.

I've been trying to disable that default click sound with buttons.(Interactions > Button)There has been many references on the internet to disable the sound from the button properties/options. I don't see that option in Captivate 8 or 9.Does anyone know if it's even possible?Thanks!

Is there an easy way to create an accessible math equation in Captivate? I do not want to use images.
