Hello,  I was editing a software demonstration in Adobe Captivate 2019 64 bit. I finished my file and published to an MP4 file. I then closed out of Captivate and forgot to save my original work.  How can I recover the file or upload my MP4 file back into captivate so I can continue to make edits? Thank you!

I'm using to entrace effects on 2 different pages in Captivate 2019.  When I publish the course there's a flash for a split second before the effect executes.  I've tried changing the transition but it has not corrected the issue.Any idea how I can correct this problem?  Thanks, IDOLproff

Hi,Hope I can gain a little more insight into why I cannot reselect an answer when I go back to my Multiple choice questions.I have set infinite attempts, so not sure why this is happening, I have to skip question to go through them again, but cannot change the answers.Do I need to add a clear button in order to retake the quiz? 

I have a project that has some simulation slides in it.  During the simulation I want to show the playbar.  I know I can do a show playbar at the start of a slide or use the cmd-playbar variable.  But I would like to just set it for the whole project.  Is there a way to do that?

Hi there. I having a specific problem, when using 360 slides in my project. For my project I use blank project with mix of 360 and default slides, because i need to show the process in facilitie, where you navigate through 360 slides to some control panels and then you can see the process on control panel. There is 95 slides, where 10 of them is 360 slides. And there are only 4 different panoramic pictures in project. Rest of the slides is default slides with some interaction on it. So, when I published project, and run it, after entrance 4-5 panoramic slide, my computer start to "super freezing". The PC control panel shows me, that 98 % of my ram is used by chrome. And project stuck. Through the console there is the same process opening in every 360 slide "threejs" and if you jump to this slide twice and more, it restart the process "threejs" but it didn't clean, after you exit 360 slide. Hello,I cannot import a PowerPoint presentation.  I've tried using Blank Project - I only get the first slide of the powerpoint.  If I use the Software Simulation I get an ini file error; must equal 1 which I logged a ticket for with my helpdesk and they updated all of that.  Still could not import.  Any and all suggestions are welcomed.  I'm getting really frustrated. Thanks so much!Vic

I have created a CBT with a "download" button that works fine to open the file that I have directed it to. There is also a button on the same screen to "continue" the course after the download has completed. This works well in the Preview, but when I load to LMS I can either click the Download button, or i can click the Continue Button. If I click the download button and get the doc that is linked to it, the screen freezes and the Contine button does not work. If I only click the continue button, it will go to the next screen, but then I won't get the attached document. I am not an expert on Captivate. Is there a way to make this work?

There's an issue in a few of my courses that the quiz questions skip ahead as soon as the user clicks a question rather than after they hit submit. I personally cannot replicate this issue, but others have been able to, but I can't figure out why thisis happening or what to do to address it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm using Cp 19 11.5.1.49. I tried to load the interactive video samples from the Assests, but the Cp files won't load after clicking Insert Slide. Other projects work fine. Any ideas? Thank you.

I have a project that has multiple buttons on a screen. When a button is clicked, text shows and audio plays. If a person clicks a button before the audio is done playing, two audio files play at once. Is there a way to "inactivate" buttons while a button's information is playing?

Hello, when I open a project in the browser or in the LMS, a large "play" icon appears (see attached). I would like to know if it is possible to delete because I need the first slide to appear directly.Thank you!

I am designing a captivate presentation that focuses on embedding questions and feedback directly in the material. However, I would like for the user to be able to highlight or underline text. How do I go about creating this kind of tool? I am new to Captivate, so please help me understand. Every single time I open Captivate, I need to re-select my image editor. (Right-click image in library->Edit With...->Select photoshop.exe). It remembers my choice during the current session. But after closing Captivate, I have to go through it all over again. How do I make it remember my editor? This has been going on since Captivate 5.

Does anyone know what the dpiawareness setting does in Adobe Captivate?

I would like to customise the look and feel of the Adobe Captivate dialogue. For example, "Yes" and "No" might be more appropriate responses than "Ok" and "CANCEL". it would be nice to centre the text in the buttons. And if possible, I would like to use our own brand of colours instead of the standard Grey. Any suggestions?

I need to send completion status for each user to the LMS. I have marked down in Captivate that they need to see 100% of the slides to be considered complete. But it doesn't appear from my imsmanifest.xml file that I have the correct coding to pass that info into the LMS. Am I reading the manifest file correctly? Help!  I'm using Captivate 2019 (11.5).I need to translate a course to Spanish, and when I try to export the project captons and closed captions (as I've done so many times before), it pauses at 4%, then says it was completed successfully.  However, when I open the output file, it's one blank page, with "Adobe Captivate" in the header and "Page 1" in the footer and nothing else.  I've used this many times for translations and now it won't work.  It's a very standard course, nothing fancy going on....

HiI have a problem that I think can be solved with Captivate. At first, I just need to know if this is possible or not. If so, i might need help to do it. 😃I want to be ablo to scroll through pictures with a slider. Just like in a movie clip where you can pause and slide in the timeline back and forth.I would also, if possible be able to hide or show different layers of slideshow. Lets say i have 100 frames (pictures) of a house construction building. 1 frame represent 1 day.I also have 100 frames from the same house just showing water pipline etc. Another 100 with electrical wire etc.I then want to be able to hide or reveal each of those layer whenever in the timeline. So that I can see how far the work with the ex the piping is done at day 63.... etc... Is this possible in Captivate or shall I search for another tool? I googled and found some kind of "slider components widget" that could bind to variables. Maybe this is one part of the solution?M

I have a project that is a software simulation Quiz with "optional" answers to the scenario.  i.e. the user can click one of 3 click boxes, and get awarded one point for answering correctly on a slide...However, Captivate 2019, thinks the correct points for that slide is equal to 3, because there are 3 correct ways to reach the same result - so the percentage is thrown off dramatically.  Out of the total potential points that can be earned, the user gets significantly lower point values while answering all questions correctly.  The number of Captivate click boxes is equal to 73, but the total correct answers are equal to 66 correct clicks.  I need to create a custom score - (cpQuizInfoTotalQuizPoints/66)*100 to get the percentage score.  Is that possible?  How can I pass that newly calculated percentage to the LMS?

Hi, I'm running Captivate 10. My runtime dialogs do not have any text on the buttons. I thought it was a problem with the settings in Object Style Manager, but that didn't help. I'm using the white template publishing to HTML5 content. I can get them to show up in other templates, but I am modifying courses created previously in Captivate 9 (where the runtime dialog buttons worked with this template). Thanks for any and all help.

I'm attempting to publish a multiscorm package, that requires the user to proceed in order.  The individual SCORM zips are entered in the order they should be taken.  (I'm using SCORM 1.2 standard).  When I click Multiple SCOs template for version 1.2, I do not see the "Force Module Sequence" checkbox.   Simple Remediation and Pre-test or Post-test seems to require SCORM 2004.  I thought I have been able to force module sequence in SCORM 1.2 projects before.  Has this changed?  Do I have to republish to SCORM 2004 in order to force sequence?

I am creating a responsive project in Captivate 2019. Every time I attempt to insert an asset (scenario specifically) Captivate will successfully download the asset and then lock up and crash during the insert process. I have tried all of the suggestions found on the community thus far without success. Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated as both IT and myself are at a loss.
