G'day, I have 10 quiz slides and one of them is a Drag and Drop slide. Is there a way to get the project to see the D&D slide as a quiz slide so that the automated "Question X of Y" in the top left of the slides correctly shows being out of 10 and not 9? And, will it throw out my score calcs if the D&D slide isn't recognised? Thanks! Brett

Hi I'm quite new to captivate and currently working on a quiz which will be used as a form of assessment for students after watching an interactive video. I would like to export in HTML and upload to an intranet web portal. The quiz will not be linked to any LMS. What I'm tryting to figure out is whether it's possible to export the score certificate generated by each student  after the quiz as .txt, .csv, .pdf or even get it to email the results automatically. Does any one have any experience or can help me in this area? Thanks a lot!

Hi there, I have a drag and drop with one drop source and three incorrect answers. Each answer is wrong for a different reason, and I would like to play a specific version of an audio clip based on whichever answer a user tries to drag across. In addition to this, I would like for the incorrect answers not to be accepted by the drop source. I've found that to get the incorrect answers to be rejected I have to untick them in the Drop source Object Actions box, but this prevents me from attaching an advanced action or similar to get the different audio versions playing. Does anyone have a way around this please?

Hello! I'm playing around with javascript on Captivate. What I'm trying to achieve is when a user clicks a button, a javascript will cause it to create a new window and then load a local HTML5 in that window. So far I've only been successful with opening a new window. I need help on where to put the HTML file since the preview of the course is on a local server indicated here: http://localhost:58365/preview/HTML5Temp23924693827609Pre/index.html  I'm trying to figure out which folder to put that said file. Any help is appreciated. Can I create a production video with the trial version of Adobe Captivate?

Hi, our company just had to upgrade to Captivate 2019 because older versions were changing Saba's torque URLs in click boxes and breaking the link only on HTML5 output. The latest version fixed this and when I tested today in Saba and did nothing else but publish to HTML5 only from Captivate 2019, now the first thing you see in the Saba course window is a big play button over a white blank background. Prior experience from a SWF output from older versions of Captivate was the first screen of the course. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of the play button on first screen? Thanks, KrisUpdate: I just did a local test and see the same first screen, so this must be something with CP2019 and HTML5 only? Any ideas on how to get the course bac to starting immediately on the course first slide screen?

Hi.I have finished a program in Cp that includes self-assessment.When you follow up and finish, Cp sends me the test result correctly, but in any other follow-up I do, the questions already appear with the answers of the first follow-up, and it does not let me answer again.The question is possible in some way, make it possible to answer as many times as you want but in different sessions. Not in the same session?The "infinite attempts" option allows you to do it but in the same session. It is not what I need.Thank you

HiI have a a course with the total file size of 15 mb.When I upload it to our LMS it takes about 5 seconds to load the content of the slideWhen clicked it changes the slide. I am using a framecounter so I can ses the slides changing but the content are taking around 5 seconds to load.First I thought it was due to javascript in the course. I removed that. Same problem.The course are published on a old LMS within the public health care systems servers using their out dated computers. When running on scormcloud on my 3k computer it works great.Is this a server/LMS/computer issue or are their any way to save the course for use on our old LMS?BrRobert

Captivate embedded mp4 videos don't play on iPad and not on safari - how can we make them play?

I'm trying to set success for a clickbox based on a mouse event using javascript, but can't find anywhere in the API documentation that says that might be possible. Reading up as much as I can, I'm thinking something like this might work...document.getElementById(“Click1”).addEventListener(“mouseover”, ..........);where the ........ is something that sets click 1 to success, and does whatever the success option is for that clickbox.Any pointers would be appreciated. Hello, My team is developing a captivate course which is to include full-body shots of actors on the slide.  We have mp4 and mov formats of these actors with a transparent background.  When I import .mov into captivate, it asks me to convert to mp4.  When I use the mp4, it loses its transparency.   What are our options, do we need a gif or some other animated format?  It needs to be published as a html5 course. Thank you!

I am creating eLearning courses with Captivate 2019 utilizing accessibility features. The problem is the use of a glossary button on each slide to link to a slide with a glossary widget. Background: Captivate 2019. Each slide has a Glossary button on the bottom set to Action = Jump to slide / 58 Glossary, Infinite attempts, Allow Mouse Click, Shortcut = Enter. All slides are set to 3 seconds. Besides captions and graphics, each slide also contains a click box set to Go to next slide, 2 attempts, Last Attempt = Continue, Shortcut = Enter, Pause project until user clicks. This click box ensures there is no auto advancement to the next slide. Glossary slide utilizes Glossary widget. Slide contains two buttons: Return to Previous Slide and Continue to Next Slide. Return to…  is set to Go to the slide last visited, 2 attempts, Last Attempt = Continue, Allow Mouse Click, Shortcut = Enter. Continue is the same except it is set to Go to Next Slide. Hi, I am using the glossary widget for a training course I'm working on. It looks great in Captivate and in porject preview, however, in HTML 5 preview and when I uploaded it as a SCORM to my LMS, the text scaled down and the font changed. Any ideas how I can stop this from happening? Cheers.

Dear One of our users told us he suddenly cannot open a bunch of projects anymore. These projects where made by a different person that left the company and the pc used to make these projects is gone. (So Dcache doesn't seem an option)I've tried to restore the oldest backup available on the fileserver but unfortunately no succes.Is there a way we can still restore these projects ?As it seems we're losing days if not weeks of work to this problem and the projects seems unchanged.So I have no idea what could've corrupted these files.I've tried multiple pc's, captivate version is : 9.0.2.1 

I need to have a large image and allow the user to interactively click and drag to pan around the image.There will need to be buttons etc. That are pinned to the image that move around with it. I want this to be mouse movement panning, and not clicking overlaid buttons to pan.I’m guessing I will need to resort to JavaScript to detect OnMouse down, the drag around adjusting the image x,y position to add the mouse movement difference.Is this feasible or is there a simple way to achieve this with in-built actions/interactive objects?

I just updated to Captivate 2019. Now when I click on record for a slide, the "Slide Audio" dialog box opens up, but I can no longer see the buttons at the bottom of the screen. Adjusting the window actually makes it worse. I tried tabbing through to the buttons, but I can't see what is highlighted, and it appears that they aren't listed in tab order. Since I've never needed it previously, I don't know what the keyboard shortcuts are for the buttons.Any idea what is causing the buttons to disappear? Is that a bug?And any suggestions on keyboard shortcuts would be greatly appreciated so I can continue working while the bug/issue is addressed by Adobe.Thanks!

G'day, I am using a Rounded Rectangle smart shape for the Incorrect, Correct, Incomplete, etc. responses in a quiz slide and I want to reduce the corner radius from its default size to 10 but I'm unable to do so. I can see the little yellow box, which I normally drag to the corner radius size I want, but it's unclickable (the cursor should change to a small black arrow). For other RR objects, that I have changed in the past, I can also specify the radius under the stroke part of the properties, but that is also not there. Am I missing something or is this a UI glitch (the fact that it gives you the adjustment spot but it doesn't work)? It is yet another restriction when working with Quiz slides??? Ta, Brett

I have published a project in adobe captivae in html5 format. As a result, I have got a folder with the required files. Now I want to upload this html project in google's course builder. In Google course builders's content creation tab,I have tried all options to upload the project. But It did'nt work.Can you please help me  out?

I created a module and imported music to the background. The music plays when I preview the project. However, once published, the music does not play. For some strange reason, the numbering on my quiz questions are starting with a continuation number from the main course slides. I've never seen this before. They've always started from 1 (e.g., 1 of x) as expected. What numbering looks like in the project:What numbering looks like in the publish preview:Also -- and maybe this is a clue -- in the project slides, the numbering is appearing as "# of 15" even though there are only 7 quiz questions. 

I need some input about I project I am working on. I have a slide with 7 buttons, I'll break down how they function and the problem I have run into: Button 1 - Hides/Shows content - when it is clicked it changes to a custom state indicating that a task is complete. (retain state is on)This is the normal state of Button 1this is the custom (completed) state Buttons 2, 3 and 4 - Hides/Shows content and change from the normal to the visited state until another button triggers a change to the custom (completed) state. (retain state is on) Button 5 - changes the state of button 2 to the custom (completed) state. (retain state is on)Button 6 - changes the state of button 3 to the custom (completed) state. Hi there,I am currently running the Captivate 2019 release. Version 11.5.0.476. Only had it for a week in work and have beenusing it every day. Today, I am unable to preview my responsive project. I normally go Preview - Project, or Preview - From this slide and I must have done it about 100 times in the last week without fail. Slides are generated and then it opens on Edge. Today, I load up my existing responsive project and after the slides are generated I receive an error message: Windows cannot find 'HTML5Temp185646897406Pre/rindex.html'. Make sure you have typed the name correctly, and then try again.  Odd as I am simply previewing. The only thing i did this morning was use the hyperlink option within a text caption to link to an external website. I since removed the link and have the same result.  Publishing works fine, when I upload to our LMS, but inconvenient as a way of previewing as I design. Any ideas on how to fix?   

Hello,  I have set up a video in a slide which plays automatically and then we move to next slide when the video has finished. My issue is that when the video has stopped playing, the video jumps back to the first frame. This creates a moment of ugliness. I would like to acheive a nice flow to the next slide straight after the video. I have tried to play around with the length of the slide to match the length of the video but this doesn't really change much. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks.
