Possible for the TOC to auto-advance?

I realize that I can use my scrolling wheel on my trackball (or mouse - I just happen to bond with Logitech trackballs), but are there any workarounds to have the TOC scroll automatically as the user progresses through my course?  It's counter-intuitive for the slides to advance, but the TOC just sits there.  First time users may not be aware that they have to manually move the scrollbar to get it back in "sync" with the slide they are viewing.  It just seems like an oversight.  Is there a way around this - a setting I'm missing or a variable that can be used to advance the TOC as a slide advances?

If not, I'll have to add that tidbit of knowledge to my custom "How to use this course" slide, which I add to all my courses (usually the 2nd or 3rd slide right after the introductory slide(s).

Thanks!!

I confirm what Rod tells and just pop in to offer a tip to decrease a very long TOC: create levels. You can group slides in the Timeline, and when resetting the TOC the group will be displayed,. It is even possible to create multiple levels in the TOC itself. You can collapse the groups to show sort of a summary TOC and instruct the learner how to expand/collapse a group. It is not possible to click a group name to start viewing that group, such navigation is only possible on slide level. So it is important to explain collapsing and expanding.

The TOC should normally highlight the item the current slide relates to.  Are you saying it does not do that?

Or are you saying that you have so many items in the TOC that the list is too long to display without scrolling?  If so, you are correct that the TOC does not automatically scroll to force the current item to be visible in the TOC at all times.  And there is no setting or variable that you can use to change the behaviour to what you want.  You would need to get someone with advanced JavaScript skills to build you a solution for that.
