Why can't I group text boxes (created from placeholder from my master slide)?

    I have the same question! Captivate 2017

    This is my master page (I DON'T want to group them here, I know you can't do that anyway):

    This is the ACTUAL page, I've got both text captions selected, and the group is grayed out. As you can see, they are no longer just placeholders, this is NOT the master page, they are text captions on the actual page now (that link to the master of course). The captions are not locked.

    Look at the color codes: placeholders remain placeholders also on normal slides. That means they keep the limitations of placeholders, in this case the inablitiy to be grouped.

    No  ma'am - these three text boxes are not locked.
