I have just tried to install ColdFusion PMT & Datastore 2023 on a new VM (Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Standard, 64 bit).   Left all the values as default. But nothing has happened and there are no links to PMT.The VM is on a secure site, which means the other technical teams tend to lock things down (like ports).  Only IE is installed on the server. Before I uninstall and try install again, are there any ideas on what I should do?(or should I just re-install and see if I missed something?) There were some errors while installing Adobe ColdFusion 2023 Performance MonitoringErrors from exception log :com.adobe.pms.es.client.ElasticSearchClient - Datastore Service not available. Retrying to connect... I can see PMT in Control Panel > ProgramsI can see PMT and PMT Datastore Service in Services (& datastore is running). 

Hello I havent been using ColdFusion for years. Not a novice but after more than 10 years it would be true to say probably very rusty and not up to date on CF best practices. I havea requirement to create a document (well parts of the document using ColdFusion). I essentially want to creat a document that has a fair amout of text in it (i want to create a contract between half a dozen people - I will get the names of the people using a query and the results of the query will then be available to include in various places in the document. Thanks in advance for any tips on the best way to do this.  

Hey folks,question about the start parameter in the cfldap command- I am trying to work with our developers to automate the onboarding process; we want our intranet site based in CF to read from specific ou to create users in the intranet appThey seem to be having a hard time.Questions:1) Is this possible?2)can someone possibly provide an example if the OU I want is three levels down the tree:mycompany.com/Offices/Domain Users/New Hires(note the spaces in the names)the google say it is possible, but more times than not I see examples of people only using the dc portion of the name (dc-mycompany, dc=.com) 

I'm trying to setup SAML with ColdFusion 2021 by doing the SP and IDP configurations inside the ColdFusion Administrator. All settings appear to be complete and correct but when an InitSAMLAuthRequest gets itiniated I receive the following error. Error details: MSIS7093:The message is not signed with expected signature algorithm.Message is signed with signature algorithm http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#rsa-sha1.Expected signature algorithm http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmldsig-more#rsa-sha256. Is the signature algorithm (in this case SHA1) defined by CF? If so, how do I switch from SHA1 to SHA256?

When Security Sandbox is enabled, use of cftrace causes an exception to be logged to exception.log even though the sandbox grants Read & Write permissions the to {cf.instance.root}/logs/* directory whilst using jdk-11.0.24. I'm assuming RollingFileManagerFactory needs some additional permission to roll cftrace.log over into cftrace.%i.log. Does anyone know what additional sandbox permission needs to be granted to allow this? We are having a problem with cfgrid displaying column data inside the grid even though the columns are set to not display. Worked fine until yesterday. Have an office full of chrome users with the same issue. It seems like cfgrid uses different html for chrome than it does for firefox and there is a table with a class of x-grid-table-resizer. The first row columns set the width and hright to zero like this: <TH class="x-grid-col-resizer-request_grid_REQUEST_ITEM_ID" style="width: 0px; height: 0px;"></TH>The data rows are like this:<TD class=" x-grid-cell x-grid-cell-request_grid_REQUEST_ITEM_ID x-grid-cell-first"><DIV class="x-grid-cell-inner " style="text-align: left; ;"> 99917</DIV></TD> The problem is that the data rows are still displaying inside the grid even though the width and height on the first row cells are zero?  Firefox does not create this resizer table at all and works fine. I upgraded Microsoft SQL Server, and after a restart, it would not start. I checked Event Viewer, cfusion/logs and Microsoft SQL logs, and the only thing I found, was this error message:"Error","ajp-nio-127.0.0.1-8018-exec-4","08/22/23","08:11:27","","Error Executing Database Query.[Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket to host and port: IP:PORT. Reason: Connection refused: connect The specific sequence of files included or processed is: C:\Website\www\index.cfm, line: 59 ". Checking the community for similar messages, I found this, but my I had TCP/IP enabled, and IPALL was enabled, with PORT.I did remove the latest update for Microsoft SQL Server, but this did not change anything, but I did notice that cfusion/application.log did not update. So my questions are, is there a way to fix this? I was thinking about trying to just establish a new connection to the DB, but from the guides I found, it seems I have to use the Admin page, which I cant access sin

We have using the cfpdfform to populate the xmldata on the pdf, suddenly it stopped working. when we try to read the same pdf using the cfpdfform function it displays the content in struct. but when we open the pdf it shows blank. We are using coldfusion 2023 patch update upto 8. we haven't made any code changes recently, but it stop working suddenly after 30th Sept.

In the process of migrating sites from an environment that has ColdFusion 2018 to one that has ColdFusion2023. New environment has Java 17.0.6. The cacerts has been copied over exactly from the CF2018 to CF2023. This is not occurring on all sites that have LDAP configuration only some. Removed all restrictions in java.security. Not seeing anything at the time of failure in Coldfusion-error.log. Able to access LDAP endpoints from a LDAP tool on the servers so no blocking from the LDAP server end.  While I have not specifically gotten the LDAP server certificate manually to import into keystore I am presuming that if it exists in keystore and works in CF2018 there should not be a reason that it wouldnt work in CF2023.

My website is down after my CF11 migration because the documentation never mentioned how difficult it was to get cfdocument working in CF11 in https.I never thought such a big change would not be well-documented in the myriad of migration guides I consulted before the migration.Question:  Does the CF11 cfdocument only work with Word and Powerpoint and all the rest of the cfdocument functionality was transferred into the new cfhtmltopdf tag?If so, if you were used to enveloping the content you wanted in cfdocument, why does cfhtmltopdf want a source?  Do we have to write the content to some temp file and then call the cfhtmltopdf tag?Question:  Do you need to have the PDF service running to use cfdocument?How do you configure this with https?  The standard examples are so vanilla they are unhelpful.Chuck Beckwith

For all our caching needs we've always used the built-in EHCache in ColdFusion.  It's served us well. As our caching use has grown, lately, we're looking to offload our cache duties to an external service. To be clear, in this context I'm not talking about session cache but, rather, caching of specific data using ColdFusion's built-in caching functions. Our apps have several long-running processes that build reports for end users.  As the processes run, we cache the data so as to speed up any subsequent calls.  The data cached can be rather extensive.  Large structs holding any number of additional structs, arrays, queries, etc... Using EHCache we've never had issues. However, as we're trying our Redis, using a free account at redis.io, we're finding the Redis cache doesn't seem to like our large data objects. When I dump out the data obtained from cache via cacheGet() function, instead of seeing a nice ColdFusion structure, we get what

After updating to update 1, get message the administrator module not installed and to use cfpm.bat to install it.  The server is behind a firewall and isolated from the internet, so cfpm cannot get back to adobe bundlesdependency.json to get it.  I have tried uninstalling the patch and still get message administrator module not installed.  Attempt to install it with cfpm and it says the local bundle is not compatible. Also, cannot start the CF service, can only bring it up using cfstart.bat which complains it cannot validate licensing.

On my local development configuration with IIS 10 and Coldfusion 2021 Update 16, the access of the IDE to RDS does not work any more via IIS.In the isapi_redirect.log file I see the following lines:[Thu Oct 10 10:46:00.677 2024] [11236:21128] [warn] jk_check_path::jk_util.c (2476): Blocking this uri: [/CFIDE/main/ide.cfm] since its starting with cfide If I change the port to the port used by Coldfusion Administrator in the IDE, RDS works, but I am still not able to use the debugger. Team,  our Infrastructure changing later this year and main impact is IP on our Web server where CF installed  changing. ?  I have identified 2 changes in IIS/Hosts file change., Does WSconfig /connector need to be rebuilt?I have validated no IP's embedded in CF source code. I am currently at update 9, plan to go to latest update 16 next month. ty Jose

In ColdFusion 2023, when the CF container starts, ColdFusion imports the database settings from the JSON file. This works similarly to ColdFusion 2021, but in 2023, the data source is not being imported correctly. The log indicates the data source was imported successfully, but it wasn’t.The CF configuration is imported using a .car file, and the database settings are imported using a .json file. Keeping both separate is for security reasons.If I use only the datasource.json file without the .car file, it works fine. Actually, even if you use both the .car file and the JSON file, it works fine as long as you exclude the caching from the server settings in the .car import.I tried everything again with a fresh CF 2023.10 install, but the issue persists. 

We are using ColdFusion 2018 internally on Windows Server 2016. The Nutanix cluster on which ColdFusion is installed in a virtual machine is scheduled to migrate to a new Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). This change will be transparent at layer 3 (routing). However, we need to find out if any part of the ColdFusion licensing is tied to a Windows server or to a server instance. Essentially, we need to know if our ColdFusion 2018 license will still be recognized and valid after migration. Can anyone please assist with this question? Thank you.

My company is starting to investigate upgrading from Oracle 19c to 23c/23ai (whatever you want to call it) and we have a couple apps running on ColdFusion.  We are currently on CF 2021, but expect to upgrade to CF 2023 by the end of the year.  The support matrices for CF 2021 & 2023 only show support up to Oracle 19c.   First question - any idea when/if Adobe will support newer versions of Oracle than 19c?  Will it be in one of the current CF versions or future 202? I understand the support matrix docs only list the versions that Adobe has officially tested and it could be possible to download and use an OJDBC driver directly from Oracle, setting it up as an "Other" datasource, however I can't find any documentation on whether ColdFusion has support for multitenant architecture and what changes need to be made for multitenancy, which is apparently available in Oracle 19c and required in 23c/23ai.   There is an old forum posting from 2014

We have 10 years old legacy site and as part of one requirement we are planning to move all the css and js files into CF but we are not sure about core component container.js and utils.js, Just want to know what is the functionality of mentioned js files and if we remove from the page what will happen to the existing site. Is it fine to remove or not?

Does anyone know if Adobe have a CFML code analysis tools to help us figure out/identify which code would not work with latest update level?The reason we are looking for this is we have about 200 app that date back to 15-20 years ago that are still running, but with latest CF updates is appears that there might be some possible break changes for us.Please advise.
