I have installed MS Server 2012 r2 , ColdFusion 11 standard and am not able to serve any .cfm pages.  http://127.0.0.1 displays the MS IIS web page, when http://127.0.0.1:80/tabs/index.cfm  is requested, I receive HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error.I  can not open the CFAdmin for the server. I have tried uninstall / reinstall  IIS and CF with out success. Hello all,ColdFusion platform related to java. in java there is no concept of pass by reference concept.I have a requirement where my business logic present in VB .Net dll and UI built by cold fusion.in my VB .Net dll there are so many public functions having parameters of type ByRef. (pass by reference).These functions are not visible cold fusion.does coldfusion supports to run .Net dll having Call by reference methods?if so, could you please suggest me

we are currently moving an application developed in Adobe Coldfusion 8 from one Linux server machine to another and we would like to know how to migrate the relevant Coldfusion 8.0 license. The IT specialist has already tried to install the same license on the new Linux server machine. When the serial is applied to the new server, it turns the server to the “Developer” modality which is not the expected modality for our need.

Hi. Does anyone know how to use javascript? I have a numeric field in my SQL table called Eng_Hrs. All I want to do is to make sure a number goes into this field instead of some text. It can have up to 2 decimal points. I've tried adding validate="float"  and adding validate="numeric", but that doesn't seem to work. I would rather do javascript anyway if I could since it would pop up a window that tells the user to enter a valid number into this field, and the form would not submit until this was entered correctly. I do have some javascript I used on a currency field somewhere else, but this field is just a number and can have 2 decimal points. I'm just not sure what I'm missing and why it's not working. I first started using CF 11 with version 11.0.0 and it worked like a charm.   Once the server was up the datasources (pointing to an Oracle DB using Macromedia/JDBC driver) worked fine.    But then I updated to the 11.0.3 version which 'fixed' the dbVarName on the cfprocparam tag.   Ever since that update my three servers are having a tough time keeping these datasources active.   It appear that they go inactive when the server is not busy like over the weekend or in the early morning hours when usage is down.    And when they are accessed after that point requests will time out when trying to establish a connection for several minutes until things get going again.  From that point on they work great.    Very odd...   To get around this issue I created a small page that runs a simple query against each of my three datasources that are used heavily.  I am running this page continuously with a

Like many people I'm sure, I use both Dreamweaver and CF Builder.  I know this is going to sound pretty lame, but when I switch from one to the other, it takes me a while to get my bearings straight because the syntax coloring is different.  I know you can change it, but with names for things like "Literal Cdata text" it's tough to figure out what controls what.I noticed you can import a color scheme, so I was wondering if anyone had a scheme that duplicated the coloring used by Dreamweaver.Thanks!

Hi, our IIS Redirects are not working with CF11.  IIS 8.5 (on Win2012) redirects work fine only if there are no ColdFusion files specified in the URL. The redirects are specified to redirect to a specific URL, to redirect to the exact destination, and to send an HTTP Response code of 301 Permanent Redirect.However, with a .cfm file on the URL, the response is "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred." The HTTP Response Code is 500 Internal Server Error. The web logs shows it as a 404.0 File Not Found error.If we add the 'missing' .cfm file, the .cfm file gets processed ... thus, there is no redirect. It seems that the Connector is taking over before IIS can respond and process the Redirect. Any ideas?thanks,Chris

When I try to download CF11DE on the Adobe site, that Akamai download manager thing stalls and says Access denied (Windows, on Chrome and Firefox), so despite trying over the last couple days and I still can't download it.  Is there any way to get a direct link rather than having to use the silly, unnecessarily complicated way?

Hi,I am in the process of converting the pages from a cflayout (tab format) into individual pages because the the pages in the tab format work with some users IE 8, 9 and 11 browsers and does not work with other users IE 8, 9, 11 browsers.In the tab format, when the Update Calculation link is selected, the page would take the values entered in the Number of One Way Trip/Day and Day/Year and calculate the value for the Total calculated units box. (Per the image)When creating the individual page, is there a way to have the page refresh, keeping the value entered in the Number of One Way Trip/Day and Day/Year, when the link is selected to have the calculated value placed in the Total calculated units box?Thanks,Mike

I am running CF 8, J2EE and need to modify the JVM settings. After doing some research, it seems like you can do this through CF Admin if you are NOT using J2EE - otherwise it's a lot more complicated. Can anyone confirm if that's the case (I don't see any JVM options in our CF Admin instance right now), and if so, what the best way to go about making changes would be? Thank you!

I have installed installed CF10 on Windows2012R2 under a trial license and now wish to apply the license code I have been supplied with. When applied it errors with "the serial number you have applied is invalid". The text with the license says this applies to CF11 but I was told that this will still work for CF10. What is the workaround for this?

I'm working with a database that stores links to various pieces of government regulation.  Each regulation has a discipline, subdiscipline, regulation type, and responsible office.  Each one also has a list of assigned keywords.Previously, we were just using an HTML form to do a <cfquery> to search these items.  At one point, someone tied our Google appliance into the keyword search to improve results, but now we're dumping the appliance due to cost issues.  I've been asked to come up with a replacement for the appliance, so my first thought was Solr.I've created a collection, then used cfindex to index it.  If I use cfsearch to pull keyword results, it works quite well.  Here's my cfindex tag:<cfindex     collection="docsearch"     action="update"     type="custom"     category="category_name"     body="keyword"    custom1="discipline"    cust

I have a form that collects the personal info then it loops through items so the user can add a row of addition items. ​Upon submitting my form,the personal data is inserted into a mySQL table, it then inserts the items into the items table by a cfloop. It works great but my clients now wants me to incorporate a popup window upon submitting the form. The popup will ask if they "Are sure your order is complete." If yes, then the form is submitted.
