I'm just returning to programing a long dormant site of mine. In the past, I handcrafted an online editor, but now, I'd like something more sophisticated and am thinking about FCKeditor. Does anyone have experience with it? (Does this forum use FCKeditor?)A web search returned this link (FCKeditor 2.x/Developers Guide/Integration/ColdFusion - CKSource Docs) related to ColdFusion. Is this information up-to-date?

In WIndows Services, my cfintra instance is running. In CF Instance Manager, my cfintra instance is stopped, and I can't started via this page. In CF instance logs I get this: And visiting my website simply returns a 500 error. So I started the CF instance via CMD with: coldfusion.exe -start -console and now my website is running. However, the status of the instance in Windows Services is 'stopped' and if I close the CMD window it shuts down the CF instance. I have 4 CF instance that I'm managing via the instance manager and CFINTRA is the only one I can't start and stop successfully from the manager. So, how do I debug this issue?

I found a bunch of topics on this subject, but none seem to exactly be doing what is going on for me.I have a ColdFusion/Java routine that displays funding requests that need to be approved. When you click on the action button, you can either approve or disapprove. When the user presses the button, I get the error message via e-mail with a copy of the trace. It shows me the statement that isn't valid. I copy it and run it in SQL*Plus on my Production database. It returns the row expected. How can that be? Hi,Here's what I'm trying to do: I have a build a report based on query results. In the query result, one field is a CLOB (which contains XML. The XML contains two tags - "description" and "count"). I want to read (&parse) the XML and store the "description" and "count" in a hashmap. But when I try to parse it, I end up in an error. I'm currently  using XmlParse but I got an error "The markup following the root element should be well formed."  I immediately used IsXml() to find out if the XML I am reading is well formed.  And the answer is "NO".Could someone help me in converting it into a "well formed" one?(This is what I've tried: I appended "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>" to the XML I'm reading coz it was missing this.  I later used XmlFormat to convert the XML into a string format.  But IsXML tells me that even this is not well formed.)Thanks much for your help!

We have been experiencing problems with Coldfusion and we cannot figure out what is happening.  We don’t know if it is a server issue, or a code issue.  It occurs primarily on one of our two production servers in one instance (but has rarely occurred on other servers).  What happens is that the transactions slow dramatically or stop being returned at all.  We use the Seefusion monitor and can see CF accept and process the transactions, which start to get older and older and never finish.  It will occur in one instance, and we have to restart that instance to fix it.  Then often, about an hour or two later, the same will occur in the other instance on the server.  When we look at the database server, there are no transactions running in SQL for any of the aging jobs.  Usually, when traffic slows or backs up due to volume, we can see a SQL job running for all of the jobs displayed in SeeFusion.A review of the application and exception logs does not

We are testing a new webserver: Windows Server 2012 Standard and Coldfusion 11When I add a using <cfldap> it takes 15 seconds before the user appears in the Active Directory Users and Computers.On our previous webserver, Windows Server 2003, the user appears immediately in the AD.Is this a Coldfusion problem or a AD problem?

We installed a new CF11 server on a win2008 with iis7. the .Net ver is v2.0.50727We have this code :<cfobject  type="dotnet"  class="System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry"  assembly="#dllPath#"  name="site">to allow us to contact to the IIS directory to later create a Virtual Directory on it.On the prev CF9/2008/iis7 /.net v2.0.50727 this worked great.ON the new server I get this error :Ensure that the DotNet agent is running and you have provided the correct host and port information-DotNet Side does not seem to be running.We made several checks to make sure that the .NET integration with CF works - and it does, We used a simple example of a "math dll" from the wed and it worked with out any issue. But when we try to communicate with the .Net assembly we get the error.ANY suggestions will be highly appreciated Thanks

My department has recently installed CF11 on a new redhat server.  I can't get the monitor to work correctly.  I've enabled Monitoring and Profiling and the Monitoring Server.  I can get the monitor to launch and am able to login.  However, it doesn't show any requests at all.  In addition, any changes I make within the monitor (such as monitoring alerts or # past jobs to list that are longer than # seconds) don't save.  Any thoughts?  I've been able to set the alert configurations through the API, but they dont' seem to work.

We recently upgraded to IE 11 as our browser at work and I noticed today that any document that has a cflocation is having problems.  On the first try, the cflocation code is ignore.  Subsequent attempts show the browser 'working' but not doing anything.While I could put our site in the compatibility list, it means that any of all of our users would have to do the same.  Is there a workaround?As an example, this is one page of our site:Mackenzie Tuttle Receives the Don Davoren Rocky Mountains Regional ScholarshipI have breadcrumbs at the top of the page.  If you click on one of the last few  (2014, honour-awards, committees) you go to the root of that directory which has an index.cfm that redirects to the appropriate location.This worked fine in IE 9 and works fine in Chrome and other browsers.  It seems to be an IE 11 thing.Sue

  I have an application that has worked for quite a while. I have made no changes to the code since the last time I used it. Basically, the code creates a zip file with input for an involved report. I used it in March of this year it worked fine. I've been assured by the gov't sysadmins and DBAs that nothing has changed, but I still get the attached error. Any ideas?    I have just heard from a friend who knows CF, that it could be a version issue.  I am currently running 8 and I believe he is running 10.   If this is an issue, is the solution somewhere on this site?   I do minimal CF and am at a loss.   The function that is throwing the error is when a button is clicked, a javascript routine is run which combines all the files requred for the zip file.   Yesterday, another application started throwing the error.  I haven't been through the code yet, but it is another button being clicked, and I'm sure, another javas

Hello,The requirement is I need to get data through ActiveMQ topic from a server which I will be using in CFM file.I wrote code for 'onIncomingMessage'  function inside CFC and a config files by referring ActiveMQDeveloperGuide.pdf.Also, I added a new event gateway setup in CF administrator.I am using ActiveMQ for the first time and I absolutely don't have idea how I can use that data which I received through topic inside my CFM file.It would be great if someone can help me out on this.Thank you in advance

(I can't find any recent threads about this regarding CF 9.01)We love all the new bells and whistles about coldfusion 9 mail delivery, but one bug is rather annoying.Occasionally mail piles up in the spool folder. The only solution seems to be to reset CF. (I tried changing the spool interval to a lower value, and saving that temporarily, thinking it might force the spooler to kick in, to no avail).However, when CF is reset, every single item in the spool is processed normally, within the spool interval time frame (we use 20 seconds).Is there some way to tell CF to process the spool folder "on demand"? Resetting the CF service is an awfully big hammer to use to resolve this snafu.Thanks in advance.Byron

Hi,Do bots send CFID/CFTOKEN in the request headers? Is that a reliable way to detect if a bot is visiting? User agent testing leads to hundreds of strings to test against, and is an ever-growing list. Is there a more reliable way of detecting bots in 2014 with CF?Thanks,Mark

I am requesting a cfm page by clicking on a link (<a href="admin/index.cfm">Admin</a>). While checking the network traffic in IE developer tool I can see the Request type as "GET". I need to change this to POST method. Is there any way to do this?. I know this is browser's default behaviour.

I am sure I am missing something really easy, but I cannot get my css stylesheet to work on my fresh installation.  coldfusion 11 with apache 2.2my cfm files can be parsed in subfolders, but a css file (or anything else other than cfm files) in the same folder doesn't seem to be working as hopedif I type in something like "localhost/appName/css/main.css" I get a 404 File Not Found errorDoes this error indicate an apache or coldfusion problem?Thanks in advance for any help, Wayne

I want to use J2EE session variables so I enabled them in the CF admin. I checked the jsessionid cookie value and noticed it had .cfusion at the end of the ID. Here is an example E3549E30AD31492B04FE7100331F28A0.cfusionI really don't like having the CF Instance name added to the end of the session ID. Is this normal and how do I stop it from happening?I'm using CF 10 with the latest updates and IIS 7.5.

We recently upgraded from CF8 to CF10 and we're running into some issues.  We started off getting a lot of OutOfMemory errors with the default heap settings. Chaning them to 768MB/1280MB which has helped, but we're still running into occasional OOM issues.  We took a heapdump as the instance was having problems today with blocked threads and noticed the heap usage was near the max so it was probably going to run out of memory soon too.  Below is what the eclipse memory analyzer tool found as a possible leak suspect.  Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go from here?  Not sure if it's an issue with CF itself or something in the app.  ThanksDescriptionOne instance of "coldfusion.runtime.ClientScopeServiceImpl" loaded by "coldfusion.bootstrap.BootstrapClassLoader @ 0x120bbaf0" occupies 838,847,880 (88.33%) bytes.
