I'm trying to read in a pdf form, complete the fields and send it to the user's browser. However I approach it, whenever I use a cfpdf type of tag, I get the error message "Platform, Locale, and Platform Name must not be null".For example the following flags an error on the cfpdfformparam line:<cfpdfform action="populate" source="Order Acknowledgement Form4.pdf">     <cfpdfformparam name="Text1" value="Test Data"> </cfpdfform>What am I doing wrong?Using CF9.01 Developer edition. In ColdFusion we can create DSN in 2 ways. Either we can select the driver for the specific database or we can use the Other as the driver and we can create the DSN by specifying the connection string. Which is the best way in terms of the performance for apps. Any idea.Here I am looking to create the DSN to SQL Server 2012 and I have create 2 DSN's, one with SQL Server  driver and one with other and mentioned the connection string.  I don't see any difference as of now. Please advise which one to user.

I was just given a security scan result for one of our web apps that showed two problems:Missing HttpOnly Attribute in Session CookieMissing Secure Attribute in Encrypted Session (SSL) CookieThe interesting thing is that I have both client and domain cookies set to "No" in my Application.cfm file (this is an old application that uses CF8.  Maybe I don't understand the concept?I found a piece of code that's supposed to secure cookies: <cfif NOT IsDefined("cookie.cfid") OR NOT IsDefined("cookie.cftoken") OR cookie.cftoken IS NOT session.CFToken>    <cfheader name="Set-Cookie" value="CFID=#session.CFID#;path=/;HTTPOnly">    <cfheader name="Set-Cookie" value="CFTOKEN=#session.CFTOKEN#;path=/;HTTPOnly"> </cfif> But I get session.cfid and session.cftoken undefined errors.  Before I wrack my brain on something I obviously don't get, can someone steer me in the right direction?Thanks in advance!

Hello,I am looking to connect to the last sql server 2012 multi-subnet failover clustering which requires to mention the connection string MULTISUBNETFAILOVER=Yes.Even though I have mention, its still failing to create the DSN, I am able to connect to it from SQL Server Management Studio. Does any able to connect it. do i need to install any JDBC drivers for this to success.Here I am using ColdFusion 9 enterprise edition.ThanksSrinivas

In CF11 administrator site, I have set a timeout value of 15000 seconds. However the jobs has timeout after 960 seconds (value set in the settings page).Is this attribute deprecated in CF11 ?As a workaround, I have added a cfsetting in the page itself.Thanks,Pierre.

My company owns three licenses of the (incredibly old) V5 ColdFusion server license.  We want to move the product to a new server group but are unable to obtain the media to install it on the new servers.  I had asked Adobe if they could provide it but the oldest available was V7.  Does anyone have any ideas on ways we can locate the media so we can move to our new servers?  Our last ditch option is to buy new and consider the old licenses worthless.

We upgraded to ColdFusion 10 in April 2013.  It has been running great until the past week or so.  Now, at various times, the servers are showing the Error 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable screen.  We have 5 servers that are load balanced and are using CF10 Standard.  We are in a 32-bit environment on virtual servers.  We are running Windows Server 2003 with 4GB RAM.  Our traffic has not really changed and nothing has changed for ColdFusion on the servers.I would appreciate any assistance that anyone could lend.Thanks!

My Dept. has just bought CF10 and I'm finally updating my existing web app to CF10 from CF8. My First Problem with CF10 is using session variables.When using the lower version of CF (since CF 4 to 😎 I have never had any problem setting up session variables and getting or using these variables in other pages after a successful login but with CF 10 it seems setting session variables and using them in other pages are a major problems. GreetingsCan anyone share the code one one put within the application.cfm to password-protect all the files in that directory?The UN & PW are stored in a DB - of course I could create a session_ID and protect each page individually, which I have been doing for years, but in this case, the pages are being loaded using a half-*ss CMS and the users, other than saving files as .cfm, will not be responsible to leave the code on each page.In the DB, the user name is subscriber_email, the password is subscriber_password.Thanks for any help.

I am reviewing the ColdFusion Web Connector settings in workers.properties to hopefully address a sporadic response time issue.I've been advised to inspect the output from the metrics.log file (CF Admin > Debugging & Logging > Debug Output Settings > Enable Metric Logging) and use this to inform the adjustments to the settings max_reuse_connections, connection_pool_size and connection_pool_timeout.My question is: How do I interpret the metrics.log output to help with the choice of setting values? Hi,I need to install cf11 on the same windows 2008 server as an existing cf8 install.I realise it would be better to have 2 servers but in this case thats not an option open to us so I need specific help with the 2 installs.The current CF8 is using IIS7.I have done a bit of spade work and I believe the best way to do this cleanly would be to install a 2nd web server, e.g apache on windows and then configure it with CF11.I had hoped that I could actually install CF11 and just configure specific iis sites with it, hoping this would leave the cf8 configured sites intact.Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using CF10 and "Use J2EE session variables" is selected in the CF admin.When I visit an application, I get the JSESSIONID cookie, but I also get the CFID and CFTOKEN persistent cookies. The app I'm working with is older and uses Application.cfm instead of Application.cfc, but the clientmanagement and setclientcookies application attributes are set to false.I'm not sure why CFID and CFTOKEN are still set. Are they set regardless of the client and session management settings?

I saw one blog post from March that this was going to be fixed.  Has there been any progress?

1. create a task which uses the username password facility (eg run a page that requires authentication to reach)2. save the task (check it runs ok)3. go back in and change something (eg change when the task is to run) but don't touch the username/password bit4. save the taskthe task will now fail to run correctly as the password will now be incorrect (even through it was correct before and hasn't been touched). Is anyone else experiencing this (CF9) - I do wonder if it's my browser messing with the password field?.

I have received this message several times through CFERROR. The cause of this output exception was that: ClientAbortException: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer: socket write error. How can I fix this?

I set it up years ago but when I tried again I can't for the life of me figure out how to set up Lighthouse Pro.Just wondering if anybody knows where there might be some instructions? Hello, Currently trying to work on a "project" in which I would be updating an application to use CF11, I believe its still using 7 at the moment. I've been searching online and haven't had any luck so far. As of CF11 connectstring was removed, what can I use in place of it? I've looked for old documentation and that's hard to get a hold of, but I believe it was deprecated in CF5. I don't necessarily NEED the answer (while that would be helpful), even some direction on where to look would be nice.

I have installed ColdFusion and we noticed a strange issue with cfttp, if file upload fails due to any technical reason then all next upload for the same file will fails until we delete file from FTP location & upload fresh copy.We configured automated jobs with cfftp upload code, so every time I've to delete the file which is failed while uploading, which is not practical solution.please help me to resolve this issue permanently. Coldfusion Builder 3.0 - Constantly goes into some type of wait state. It eventually returns...but does anyone have any ideas??
